It's tucked inside TeaDM, so don't waste time looking for a storefront, just head into TeaDM and you'll find the Bon Me Shack counter. Ordering is quick and easy through the iPad, and I went with the Beef Perfect Bowl over rice. The portion alone impressed me. It came piled high with grilled beef, fresh greens, rice, and even an egg roll, making it feel like a complete meal rather than just a rice bowl. The beef was flavorful, the vegetables added a nice freshness, and while I'm trying to cut back on carbs, I have to admit the sticky rice soaked up all the savory sauce and was hard to stop eating. The only thing I would do differently next time is ask for jalapeños or another spicy topping. I like my food with a little more heat, and I think that extra kick would have taken the bowl to the next level. There are a handful of tables if you want to eat there, but I grabbed mine to go. The broth is what makes up a good pho and here it is the perfect savory and a hint of sweet, flavorful, aromatic broth that doesn't need ANY condiments inside. I could drink their broth straight up every day. The noodles were soft but bouncy making it the perfect bite! Don't be fooled at this casual pho spot since it's better than any other sit down pho spots with fancy bowls I've been to. They give a good amount of meat and noodles to fill you up. There was a bit of a wait for such a small order and they weren't busy. The summer roll was tiny for $4.00 and that's for only one roll. The banh mi was really tasty though. Located in Sterling off the illustrious Harry Byrd Highway, Bon Me Shack in Sterling shows that you don't have to trek to Eden Center for good Vietnamese bites. You can find Bon Me Inside TDM, where they have shared seating for both establishments. Ordering is done via kiosk at the counter for minimum human interaction. With only two people working during a dinner-time visit it was a bit of a wait despite a small amount of diners. On to the food: Bon Me Pork: Yummy grilled pork, daikon veggies, Jalapeño peppers. It came with spicy Vietnamese Mayo on side, which I used as a dip. The bread is a typical French Bread, but not the variations used in traditional Bahn mi. Spring Roll Shrimp: A Single roll which was a disappointment in regards to portion but otherwise solid, peanut sauce on side. Really enjoyed the food here. We ordered the chicken Bahn Mi and the perfect bowl with shrimp and noodles. The shrimp has a great smoky flavor and was perfectly cooked. The bahn mi was very generously proportioned and tasted great. Wish I had taken photos before we devoured them . Only complaint was that the vegetables weren't pickled which is a personal preference. I didn't realize there was a separate Yelp page for Bon Me Shack so I'm just adding the same review I had put for TeaDM when I mentioned my food. The restaurant shares the same building/room as TeaDM like a food hall. I ordered the Banh Mi Tacos and wow. They were delicious, juicy, and did have the flavors of grilled pork banh mi with every bite. It was a tad pricey though, but I'm still glad I tried the tacos! Next time I would love to try the Grilled Pork Bowl and will update my review. The customer service was great and the wait time was very reasonable since it was made fresh (about 7-10 mins). This was also during their soft opening day, so I'm sure things have gotten more efficient. read more

Bon Me Shack is located in the same building as Tea DM (food hall style with 2 stalls sharing 1 building) and the Bon Me sign is not highly visible so look for Tea DM at the end unit of the strip mall off of Rt 7. Now if you were stopping by for a quick boba tea that's fine but the star is Bon Me. It is a bit pricier than your typical pho shop (dishes are approx $15 each) but the place is new, super clean and modern looking so I'm sure the owners had to invest a pretty penny. And wow, we were pleasantly surprised with our dishes - The Rice bowl with grilled pork had perfectly grilled premium pork slices with very little fat and a ton of rice with a salad including carrots and radish. The Garlic shrimp is super garlicky and fresh. The Pho w beef is also tasty with a nice comforting broth. For appetizer we ordered the spring rolls which are fried to perfection and not greasy at all. The family heartily approved and we are all excited to have a new Vietnamese place to go nearby. Try it...we were sad to see only 1 or 2 other parties eating in at 6:30pm on a Thursday so go out and support 'em! read more

This place came up on Yelp a few times when browsing for the Ashburn area so I thought why not. It also helps that there is a TeaDM here too. Placed my order online both times and the wait times were pretty short both times. We've tried the Grilled Chicken Bowl, Garlic Steak on Rice, Pork Vietnamese Tacos, and the Crispy Spring Rolls. Pickup was pretty easy and on time. It hasn't been busy the two times I've been there but the staff is nice. The space is pretty big so I'm expecting more stuff to be in the space. The food was solid, nothing out of the ordinary. Spring rolls were good but pricey for two pieces. The actual meals were pretty filling though. Great quick service Vietnamese if you're passing by though. I'd give it closer to 3.5 stars. read more

I stumbled upon this place quite accidentally when visiting another place in the same space. The food is delicious and I have returned multiple times to try different menu options. The only "complaint" I could even have is that it's not "fast food," so you have to chill out in the seating area or order from the neighboring kiosk while your food is FRESHLY MADE. Even though its not listed on the outside, its actually located inside TeaDM. The shopping center is a little awkward to get in and out of, but there is plenty of parking. Ordering online was super easy, and my banh-mi sandwich was ready very quickly. The staff inside was super friendly.
