    Salt and pepper squid.

Lost its authenticity. Got pork and bamboo, pork and peppers, salt pepper squid. All Americanized fare. The first two were fried in the same sauce and the sauce is not appropriate for either dish. Paid $16 for salt and pepper squid. This is not it. The pepper is black or white pepper with small red chilies. They used jalapeños. Not good. That dish gets a 1 star. The cook does not know how to make the items on the menu.

Hunan beef - my lunch in the trash can. I don't normally write reviews but I really have to say that this is worse food I have ever had in a long time. The Hunan beef has a lot of sauce, salty and the beef smelled and horrible. The vegetables even worse. I will call the restaurant today. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. As for rating from 0 to 10, I will give them below zero. Go to mcDonald's you will get a better food. Hunan beef

So this is my new favorite American Chinese food. They execute everything perfectly and give extremely generous portions. Everything comes w fresh servings of rice and steamed vegetables. Unbelievable value. Best sweet and sour chicken in northern VA. You will not be disappointed. Also very professional and expedient service. I'll be back! $8 for this incredibly generous portion of sweet and sour chicken with rice and steamed veggies and this is a small. This place is unreal. A business run well

Called 45 mins before they closed and refused to take my order- said they are closed.

What I enjoyed about Yo more than a place like Dumpling District (very similar in menu) was the quality and vibes of the service and atmosphere. The servers were very helpful to explain the dishes to my family members who needed some help. The food hit! The Spicy dry noodles are definitely what drew me to come here and they did not disappoint. My kids loved the pork chops. The seafood soup was loaded! The flavors were exceptional. And for as much food as we order, the price was pretty reasonable! We look forward to our next visit!

For example, the Panfried Pork Bun used to be my favorite item here but they've changed the recipe significantly. The pork filling used to be a lot larger and juicier...but now when you break open the bun, the filling is so small that half of the bun doesn't even have any meat. 80% of the bun is just dough and it's not fried well and quite greasy. Everything overall was way too greasy, including the crueller and the dry noodles were swimming in oil. I did like the texture of the noodles, but unfortunately it was overshadowed by the oiliness of the broth it was sitting in. It's really sad to see this place fall short since it opened a couple years ago. I'm hoping that they can improve their quality of food as it's really gone downhill since opening.

Jinya Ramen Bar offers a trendy, modern, metropolitan atmosphere. The space has a lively energy, with techno/disco-style music playing in the background, a full bar, and televisions featuring sports programming. The crowd appeared to include a number of younger couples, which added to the overall vibrant feel. I ordered the Chicken Yuzu Shio Delight and customized it with spicy bean sprouts, fresh garlic, and chicken wontons (each an additional charge). The dish arrived hot--which I always appreciate--and was exactly what I was looking for: flavorful, well-balanced, and satisfying without being too heavy. My kids ordered from the children's menu and clearly enjoyed their meals--they liked it so much that they asked for more noodles. I ended up sharing some of mine and ultimately ordered an additional bowl. The staff was very accommodating throughout, which made the experience even better. The restaurant is family-friendly, even with a bar as a central feature (which we did not utilize). The host was welcoming, and the staff presented a cohesive, modern look with all-black attire. While the style is clearly part of the restaurant's trendy aesthetic, some aspects of the dress may be a matter of personal preference (too short in my opinion, I would not like my daughters wearing such short attire). Overall, this was a great experience. The food was satisfying without being overly heavy, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was engaging. I would certainly recommend Jinya Ramen Bar to anyone in the mood for quality ramen in a lively setting.

I've only ever ordered takeout from Kindi Chicken Rice but I liked that the fried chicken was still crispy and juicy when I brought it back home. Would I order again? : I would order again if I'm in the mood. When I was living in Philly, I used to love frequenting Cily Chicken Rice, which was also a Thai-style hainanese chicken rice spot. So, when I moved to NOVA, I was excited to find a similar restaurant nearby. Unfortunately, Kindi Chicken Rice isn't quite as good but it's still pretty decent. The ginger-garlic rice doesn't have enough garlic flavor and was a little dry. Also, I didn't like the ratio of chicken to rice; there was only six pieces of chicken for all the rice that was given. Lastly, the daikon soup had the classic peppery taste but lacked salt/umami flavor. But I did like that the daikon was sliced whereas the daikon in the Cily Chicken Rice soup is just one hunk of daikon.

I've had the chicken parm, the Cuban sandwich, burgers, and salads and everything had been tasty and freshly prepared. I love a good Cuban sandwich and NYAJ's is a good one, and they are one of the few restaurants with a Waldorf salad on the menu, so I have ordered that several times. My only critique of that would be, I wish it had the candied pecans that are listed as an ingredient on the menu, but the last 3 times I have had that salad, they have been missing. I also love the French onion soup there, as well as many of the appetizers. You really do not have to worry about getting a bad meal at Not Your Average Joe's, it's very reliable.
