Chopstix makes decent food and we have been getting carryout/delivery from here on and off (on and off over 10 years). We recently tried Chopstix again after not going again in about 2 years. And food has been good. Each dishes we ordered was full of flavor and seasoned well. Slightly on the saltier side if you eat the dish without rice but balances out with plain steamed rice. Just to name a few that we got and enjoyed: We got hot & sour soup, beef with broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, spicy mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, crispy shredded beef in spicy sauce (crispy sweet & spicy), chicken with cashew nuts. We also got eggplant in hot garlic sauce, this dish was really good. I highly recommend. We also got shredded potatoes and this spicy dish was really good, with white steamed rice this dish was perfect to my taste but in my opinion it's too expensive at $15.95, I think I would get it again if the price is around $10.95. Service is good and friendly. This restaurant is mainly carryout and delivery, and there are no tables to dine in. read more

Be careful when ordering online. There is a TIP item. I doubt that the tip goes to the delivery driver because the delivery driver seemed to want to extort a tip upon delivery. That never happened before. We won't be ordering from here again. Examination of the order confirmation form shows a tip; examination of the receipt that came with delivery shows that the tip became a service charge. Something that's not right is going on. My husband saw a review at another site where someone noticed that the delivery driver seemed to want a tip when he delivered the food. If the management is withholding what is meant to be a trip for the driver, that's very wrong. As for the food, it seems to have changed but not for the better. Some think that the place has changed hands. Mongolian beef is supposed to have green onions - it had a mass of white onions; chicken with garlic sauce had a mass of green peppers and no discernable garlic flavor. It appears that Chopstix doesn't work with any delivery services so the only way to get delivery is through them. As a result of what happened this most recent time, we are done with them. read more

Stopped at Choostix for a quick lunch while I was craving some duck. I was imaging some crispy roasted duck with fatty juices and a hot bowl of rice with some soy/duck sauce. I was a little heartbroken it wasn't exactly what I wanted but wanted to give it a try. Note that this only came with duck so if you want to eat it with rice, you're going to have to order a side of rice. The sauce was more of a thick hoisin sauce which wasn't the kind I wanted so I decided to just eat the duck without any sauce...or rice. The skin was very crispy but the meat was very dry. Food is fresh and prepared quickly. It is nice to see the plastic replicas of the food before choosing. Singapore rice noodles are great - less oily and more of a yellow curry flavor than other places. shrimp and broccoli also very good. A lot of reviewers mentioned that the counter staff ladies look grumpy. This place is in a strip mall with an Asian Market on one side and a vape store and Middle Eastern/Mexican market on the other side. I'm not sure about dining in as I ordered to-go, but there was a window with a speaker right when I walked in the door. A woman greeted me quickly and I took a moment to look at the menu before I ordered. I decided to go with the combination meal chicken lo mein. The combination comes with pork fried rice and choice of an egg roll, soup or drink. I went with the egg roll and also got an order of hot and sour soup. The total came out to be somewhere around $14 which isn't too bad really. It took about 15 minutes to get the food. Unfortunately they didn't include any utensils and I didn't think to look, so I had to stop and buy some since I was staying in a hotel in the area. They did include fortune cookies and a bunch of sauce though. The egg roll was standard fare - nothing exceptional, but not bad. The hot and sour soup was definitely not the best I've had. There were a lot of crunch onions in it. I like onions - even crunchy ones, but I've never had anything like that in hot and sour soup. There was also far too many mushrooms. They were large and overtaking the bowl. The pork fried rice was okay, though the pieces of pork looked a bit odd as they were bright red. The chicken lo mein was the most disappointing item though. Just noodles and a few pieces of chicken. Normally when I get lo mein there's some cabbage, green onion and carrot but this had none of that. The flavor was also pretty bland. The phone etiquette was little off and sound alittle snoopy "do you know we are?" and I wanted to tell her "yes, I live in sterling and I can afford to eat in great falls." when I picked up the food, the 3 counter staffs was giving me the unwelcome look. 4 stars for presentation at the restaurant 3 stars for the food 1 star for customer service - general tso chicken portion was NOT worth the price. i would normally insist on going to a place at least twice however i'm so disappointed i will not be returning. i got kung pow beef an it was a decent price and the containers kept them hot till i got home.however the biggest sin was the composition of the kung pow itself. the beef was not only extremely mild (which is so disappointing) but it had so much oil it was uneatable. i had to drain nearly half a cup of oil off the dish before i was able to eat it, no im not kidding. im hoping this is not the norm as it is not a good business practice but i will not be returning to find out. suggestion try somewhere else read more

I had been wanting to try Chopstix for a while because they have beef chow fun on their menu. Today was supposed to be the day, but I got so distracted by all of the other great menu choices that I didn't order it. What I did get were egg drop soups (always a hit), spring rolls (lot of cabbage and veggies), fried chicken wings (huge, not what we were expecting), crab rangoon (the cream cheese was sort of sweet; probably won't order these again), scallion pancakes (good), Mongolian beef (very good!), General Tso's (sort of too sweet), and the favorite of the night, spicy chicken with fried Chinese chilies. On another high note, the employees provided great service!!! They helped explain some dishes to me and were very accommodating with special requests. I am typically out of their delivery zone, but they went above and beyond and still brought the food! I couldn't have been happier. read more

The food is good. The service could use some upgrades. The receptionist has no personality; she just wants to get you off the phone asap. The driver is borderline rude. It's the only choice we have in Great Falls, where the food is decent. So, I just grin & bear it. I look forward to more & better options in this area for Chinese food. read more

The online ordering process was quick and easy and our food was ready quickly-- only about 20 mins. The following were highlights: chicken lo mein, sesame chicken, pork fried dumplings. Each of these dishes tasted fresh, with lots of flavor. The sesame chicken was all white meat with a sweet and delicious sauce. The chicken lo mein was a huge portion with big chunks of chicken. The following I would pass on for next time: the Szechuan green beans and the fried rice. The green beans were mixed with bell peppers, which seemed a bit odd to me and the texture was a bit soggy. I think I just found my new favorite Chinese restaurant. I got the general tso bean curd and vegetable friends rice. Both seasoned to perfection. No over salting. No fishy taste. The bean curd texture and consistency is perfect. Not too soft and not too crispy. It's got a good dense texture. I always wonder how they get tofu so perfect. Just tried ordering, and was refused to be able to order over the phone because the last time I laced an order over the phone...I got into a car accident and couldn't pick up my food. The sad part is, after I was done dealing with the police, I called the store and apologized for being unable to get my food that night, and informed them of this accident. Not sure why chinese places around here are so hit or miss but.. they are. I had high hopes for Human beef tonight but was average at best. This may be picky but I chose the dish partially for the veggies listed and was really disappointed they took the liberty of substituting baby corn for zucchini. We were order #50 on 1/04/23 and specified to call us when the food was delivered and not leave on the concierge desk at The Harrison. Went down after 1 hour as no call and there set the cold dinner that had been delivered 25 minutes earlier. You have great food but your delivery service is really bad. They got 1 stars because the person on the phone was lovely. His name was Henry, and he was very nice. Thank you Henry. And they delivered quite quickly. So far seemed great, here's where it ends. I'm wondering if people are eating at a different place that we got from. The sauce on the walnut shrimp appetizer was thick and gummy. The hot and sour soup was neither hot (spicy) or sour. And we didn't get any crunchy noodles for the soup. You always get crunchies, in the 3 states I've lived in it's a given. I got the sesame chicken. I asked if I could get all white meat, they can't do that I was told. Should have flaged me. Don't they cut up their own chicken? I found out why, these pieces were so small and where was the sauce? There was none! Now I know why they couldn't fill my request. It seemed like it was pre diced pieces from other kinds of orders (like Kung Pao) then seemed reheated very dry. Speaking of reheating, my husband's brown rice came in a plastic container that was sucked in on the sides like when you heat it up in a microwave. His General Tsos tofu had 3 pieces of broccoli and one dried pepper and sauce had no flavor. I was so hopeful with the great reviews. But nope, never again will we order from here. read more

This was my first time ordering Chinese food delivery since moving to Reston. The dish was actually pretty good. I ordered the triple delight it was made well (not salty). The food was really good! When we got it, it was hot and fresh. We got a soup and all of the vegetables In the soup seemed really fresh. We also got sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and spring rolls. I have included images of all the food. When you order the food it comes with a small packet with all the utensils you need to included any additional sauces. We did order for delivery and the delivery was sooner then the time frame it gave. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a family or friend. The last two times I got chicken fried rice the food tasted like it had been rotting in a garbage can. Each bite was disgusting. And I LOVE Chinese food, so tasting rotten food was extremely disappointing. The Crab Rangoon was good. The General Tso's chicken was hard, tasted old, and the chicken was not good. read more

Best Chinese in the area. I've never had such good Chinese food. Love the general tso and their classic spicy chicken.

Decided to give the semi-new Chinese carryout in Great Falls a try as we heard it was pretty good and better than the other options in the area. Went to pickup as we didn't want to wait for delivery. It is a small joint with one table and maybe 8 seats so wouldn't recommend eating in unless you are grabbing a quick bite on your own. We ordered the Hot &Sour soup, Genl Tso's Chicken for the kids and the Chicken w/Garlic Sauce. Really liked the soup...good flavor with large mushrooms and a good amount of tofu and other veggies (bamboo shoots etc). Both other dishes were very tasty as well. Nice large pieces of white meat chicken in the Chicken w/Garlic Sauce. As others mention the sauces aren't extremely gloppy and/or oily which is a nice change from your typical Americanized Chinese carryout. Now, I wouldn't say this is authentic Chinese food by any stretch but if you are looking for a nice Americanized Chinese food fix in GF I would definitely give them a try. We will definitely be going back to try a few of the other dishes. read more
