Bun Banh Hoi pick 2 & crab fried rice

Ate with (viet) aunties on MLK day. Casual interior, snagged an inviting booth. Service very friendly and attentive. Food was delish and pretty presentation. Bun Bo hue was tad sweet but mom happy it wasn't spicy. Good portions. Thanks, We'll be back!

The crispy eggroll (cha gio) was crispy and looks to be double fried, leading to a really crunchy outside. Good amount of filling on the inside and the fish sauce is sweet and tangy. The Chilean sea bass was super crispy with a thick crust on the top. The glass noodles looked a bit on the thin side and tasted more like vermicelli. Lovely scallions on top. The bone in short rib was filled with noodle and a good amount of meat. The broth was a bit too salty and didn't have as much meat flavor on it though. Still, it was very filling! Pretty quick and efficient staff. Nice clean location and quite minimal.

    Banana blossoms beef salad.

Perfectly marinated salad with a generous and balanced mixed of thinly sliced beef and banana blossoms. The sauce is just perfect. Excellent quality. A unique dish as well.

Very tasty. We got the spring rolls and the stir fried lemon grass tofu. Both had a ton of flavor. Staff was attentive and very nice. The restaurant and the restrooms were clean. I would come again

Wait a shame that this place has gone downhill since I have last been here over a year ago... the waiter we had was very friendly and the fried tofu appetizer wasn't bad. However, it took over half an hour just for the chicken glass noodle soup to come out. The soup was so bland that I had to add multiple spoons of chili sauce to give it some type of flavor. The chicken was also very dry and overcooked. The booth seats are also very loose so if you lean back at all it will move the other customers and vice versa with them bumping you back... My friend also thought her pho wasn't good at all. Just take a look around at the main demographic dining there which are mostly non-Asians. Just make the extra 20 minute drive and get way better noodle soups in Centreville.

Went here... again -- after the DC Bubble Run 5K, my friends and I were hungry and drained and I recommended this place (they've never been). They absolutely loved it! The Pho cured us and end of story, this place is great. PS: Service was great and ambiance was chill since we went at opening lol

The pho was delicious! The short rib pho had a really nice beef flavor. I got the bun Bo hue and the lemongrass in the broth really came through! They also had whipped Thai iced teas which was a fun little twist on the classic drink Our server was really nice and helpful and the interior was really spacious

Yelpers enticed me with their 4-5 star reviews. Located in a small strip mall, parking was easy. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. We had to move booths because the guy behind my seat kept butting his bench seat against my back. Staff always checked on us and food was delivered quickly. As far as food, I've had better IMHO, I am particular about my fried egg noodle with veggies and protein. The sauce didn't speak to me like other places. It was much sweeter and thicker than I'm used to eating. There was a good amount of fresh veggies and tofu. Hubby liked his massive bowl of Pho. The eggrolls were a tad greasy but they did have lots of pork filling.

No one has pho that compares to this.

Was hungry and stumbled upon this gem. Staff was extremely tentive. Food came quick. Fresh and flavorful. Definitely coming back.

This spot is nicely done, from the service, to the ambiance, to the food. My husband and I popped in before a flight and who seemed to be the owner sat us down right away, offering us water, and menus The restaurant itself was very modernly designed, and I knew the food was going to be good because a ton of Vietnamese locals flooded the place Great prices! I got the build your own pho bowl and my husband got the short ribs. The pho broth was sweeter and less peppery than I like but the flavor was still delicious, so I am keeping my review at 5 because that's just my preference in taste. The short ribs were tender and out of this world in my opinion. Amazing flavor. We also ordered spring rolls beef and shrimp and we both loved those as well We ate well and didn't leave hungry or broke. Will be coming back, thank you!

Saigon Bistro: Where Even My Inner Vietnamese Auntie Nods in Approval As a Vietnamese woman with a lifelong PhD in judging fish sauce, I don't hand out compliments (or nuoc cham recipes) easily. But Saigon Bistro? Let me tell you--it's the real deal. My husband, my daughter, and I rolled in tonight expecting dinner. We left with full bellies and mild food comas, grinning like we'd just found parking in Eden Center on a Sunday. We ordered: Bun Bo Hue - spicy, soulful, and not for the faint of heart. The broth had depth, like it had been simmering through three family secrets. Pho Nam - tender beef, clean broth, and that lovely herby finish. Not too greasy, not too light. Basically, if Goldilocks were Vietnamese, this would be her bowl. Bun Bo Nuong - grilled beef over vermicelli, perfectly charred and beautifully balanced. My daughter tried to claim it as her own but... not in this family. Decor? Lovely and modern with just the right touch of Saigon nostalgia--no plastic chairs or fluorescent lights here. Servers? Sweet, fast, and genuinely welcoming. No awkward stares when I asked for extra herbs and chili paste. This place is a solid 8.5 to 9 out of 10. Subtle, simple dishes that are still full of flavor. No MSG aftertaste, no "fusion confusion," just honest, delicious Vietnamese food. And trust me: if it passes my standards, your taste buds are in for a treat. Verdict: Would recommend. Would return. Would fight my husband for the last spring roll.

One of the better Vietnamese places in the area. All the food here tastes pretty authentic and I haven't found something that I don't like. My favorite dishes are the shrimp lotus flower salad, Bo ne, and the pho is also pretty good. Service is pretty quick here too and as someone with a peanut allergy they are always very cognizant of removing peanuts from my dishes. Overall good casual Vietnamese place that doesn't require a trek to falls church!

Ordering is quick and easy through the iPad, and I went with the Beef Perfect Bowl over rice. The portion alone impressed me. It came piled high with grilled beef, fresh greens, rice, and even an egg roll, making it feel like a complete meal rather than just a rice bowl. The beef was flavorful, the vegetables added a nice freshness, and while I'm trying to cut back on carbs, I have to admit the sticky rice soaked up all the savory sauce and was hard to stop eating. The only thing I would do differently next time is ask for jalapeños or another spicy topping. I like my food with a little more heat, and I think that extra kick would have taken the bowl to the next level. There are a handful of tables if you want to eat there, but I grabbed mine to go. Hidden gem is an overused phrase, but in this case it actually fits. Generous portions, solid flavors, and reasonable prices for this day and age.

Our order: * Pho Nam * Pho Nam + Bo Vien * Bún Bò Huế (aka the twist ending no one saw coming) Let's talk pho first: the broth was aromatic with a hint of sweetness--like someone simmered comfort, umami, and a little nostalgia in one pot. The nam was a revelation--tender, silky, and just fatty enough to make cardiologists nervous in the best way. The meatballs? Bouncy, beefy, and living their best life. But then... the Bún Bò Huế. Oh no. We had such high hopes. Instead, it tasted like someone whispered "lemongrass" over hot water and called it a day. No heat, no depth, no soul. Somewhere a Vietnamese auntie just clutched her pearls. That said--best pho in Sterling, hands down. The space is bright and looks newly zhuzhed up. Service is friendly. Vibes are cozy. The fried rice and pad Thai lacked flavor and had an odd taste. The apps were alright. The banh mi was passable but got us feeling bloated within couple bites. Cost of everything was quite low, so may that is a plus for some. Further, when I tried sharing the feedback respectfully - after the waiter wondered why we had barely eaten and refused to go boxes- I was told to write this review online - which itself was weird. It's like the staff want to sabotage the customer experience or highlight the experience for the owner to take note. My best guess is the owner doesn't treat/pay his staff well and they are likely very checked out and doing the bare minimum or below it. The place was a mess also behind the counter, on the way to the restroom etc. with no deliberate storage of the overflow supplies. Sorry for the candor and the harshness- hoping the management takes a serious look and rethinks their work, or reconsider another line of business.

Very interesting concept as this place seems to be more of a dessert shop, I am curious on how good the viet food is.. maybe one day! I ordered the valentine bingsu which consist of a bunch of fruit and vanilla ice cream. The bingsu was advertised with "milky ice flavor" which I did not taste the "milky" part. The shredded ice was a great consistency, though! Easy to scoop up, melts fast, & not ice-y which to me is crucial to a decent bingsu. The strawberries paired were great and very sweet, the peach felt like it was from a can, pineapple gave off canned vibes, except it was extremely bitter and basically gone bad. Mangoes were OK not very sweet and Vanilla ice cream was good but you can't go wrong with that if it's store-bought. Overall would give this a 5/10 maybe 4.5/10. You order on the kiosk or at the counter. I opted for the kiosk as the employees were busy, I did however asked at the counter to Change my order after once I realized they had the valentine bingsu since I was feeling more fruit desserts (originally ordered the strawberry & cream). If a place consistently delivers quality drinks, strong execution, and keeps us coming back, that earns a top rating from me. Teadm absolutely does that. We go to Teadm in Sterling often, and it has become one of our go to spots for drinks. Their Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba is outstanding. Rich, creamy, and full of flavor, with the kind of texture that keeps you coming back for another sip. One thing I really appreciate is that their milk teas are actually milky and creamy. They are not thin or watery like at some other places. Also, the added traditional boba is excellent! It is consistently chewy, fresh tasting, and cooked perfectly every time. That kind of consistency matters, and they clearly pay attention to quality. They also offer a Brown Sugar Milk option with no caffeine, which is fantastic for the kiddos. Same creamy, satisfying flavor profile without the caffeine, and that has made it a family favorite. Another consistent winner is their Seasalt Bac Xiu Coffee. It never disappoints. Great balance of sweetness, coffee flavor, and that salted cream element that makes it so enjoyable. We have also tried the Color Switch Lemonade, which is good and fun to order. If I could offer one suggestion, I would love to see a classic simple lemonade or a lychee lemonade added to the menu as well. Overall, this place rocks.
