Our group chose this place because it was halfway between us. Parking was not easy until we discovered the garage right in the buildings it was free. Our friends parked at various garages nearby. Service was spotty. It was odd because when my wife and I arrived early, service was quick at the small bar. But upon being seated with our group, service was very slow. I ordered the Pho. I normally go to the Falls Church Lantern House and decided to try the new location in Reston, hence it will be hard not to compare. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Reston location is clearly more upscaled with a better location and ambiance. It is well decorated and it shows the intent to raise the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu also includes items not offered in the falls church location and this would be a nice Thai place for date night. The food is delicious and well presented, the pictures so not so them the service they deserve. The staff is attentive and well trained. The one recommendation I would provide is not to forget your Vietnamese roots, the menu should have dish plates in their Vietnamese sounding name (e.g., bahn mi rather than Vietnamese sandwich) and the tuong den and siracha should always be on the table. Finally, do not be afraid of adding chilis or jalapeños to the dishes, I am certain the response will be as positive as in your other location. Overall, amazing restaurant and experience. read more

For our group gathering the friend we were celebrating selected this place. Parking was hard unless you realize that the garage connected to the building offers free parking. Spaces were easy to find. Cocktails at the bar before friends arrived. Menu was big. Our group ordered a variety of apps and ordered dinner items: we shared lots of our dishes. Shaking beef was a popular choice amongst half our group. I have to say the portion were tiny for $23. I am used to big chunks of beef for this dish. It was more like smaller pieces. The flavor was not there, actually no flavor. I also ordered the chicken wing appetizers. They were over cooked and dry and had no flavor. I heard from other friends that their Pho was good. A little tucked away from the main Reston area in a slightly residential area with plenty of street parking and a parking garage, I was pleasantly surprised to find a little oasis of authentic Vietnamese fusion cuisine and delicious fresh mixed cocktails! Highly suggest the lychee mojito!! every person in our four-person girl group had two of these with deliciously plump fresh lychee on top of fresh mint, limes and just the right amount of rum to make you feel all warm inside! Modern with a touch of fun and eclectic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fortunately, my friends had already been here before, so I had plenty of good suggestions to consider. Came in on a weeknight for dinner and they weren't very busy, bust service was very good. They have a nice selection of Vietnamese fare, from banh mi to pho to wok'd entrées. They also have a very nice cocktail menu, the guava margarita is really good! Their wings were how we started and the fish sauce is a great flavor to choose. They, however, had split open from the wrapper and contents were coming out, which made them harder to eat on the go. I have been to this place twice. I forgot to post a review for the first visit, but definitely wanted to post a review for this last visit. I came here around lunch time one day recently and ordered a pho. The pho was delicious and it was a decent portion size. Everything was going great and I was just about to finish my pho when I noticed a male server behind the counter dropped what looked like a clean spoon or fork on the floor, picked it up, rinsed it off (with no soap), dried it off, and then put the utensil in the spot with the other "clean" utensils. I was shocked and upset because earlier I had asked for a fork use for my pho. This made me question the cleanliness of the whole restaurant. However, I don't think it makes the food taste better since the meat should already be in the hot broth so it is hot. The broth came out hot, but the food remains room temperature. The idea makes sense though, but instead of everything being de-constructed, the meat items should be with the broth in my opinion. The pork belly is really good, but it is noticeably less fatty than usual pork belly buns (good for me, less so for others). Mussels are also good and it was a large portion. Wow, this place was a great find by my former colleague for a get-together. My friend and I were excited to try out this restaurant as we saw the hype on social media. But was ultimately let down for a variety of reasons. Firstly the service was friendly but inattentive. For the price point you would expect the service to be more on top of things. The cups we received were dirty with lipstick stains and also had a chip on the top. No discount or free apps was offer to us for the inconvenience but then again we didn't want to cause a fit. The food itself was nothing really to come back for. Hamachi coco loco app was just okay. It was interesting to eat sashimi with the coconut sauce and fruit but nothing special. The enchanted forest was good, more on the drier side with the rice and steak. But its a hard to mess up dish to begin with. We were really excited for the duck but it honestly didnt taste like duck as it had a strong gamey flavor to it. The "salad" comprised of raw onion and chives. The drinks were okay. The guava margarita was sour but I wouldn't say it had a strong guava flavor.
