    LUNCHBOX Stir Fry

Local Vienna favorite for delicious Vietnamese cuisine - I especially love their varied (and priced right!) lunch menu. Service is always friendly and it's great to see so many regulars dining here - I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We just got kicked out of this dump at 6 PM because they reached their capacity. On a Saturday.

Take down your Christmas decorations. It's almost February. I will NEVER patronize this place again. We were booted tonight because supposedly they had "reached their capacity" at 6 pm on. Saturday night. What does that mean? And why are there four 4-tops and two 2-tops available? Only take out available/ as if I would EVER come here again. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. Especially since Vienna rallied around them during the PANDEMIC, which is OVER. We are going to PHO HAI DUONG. Nice and clean and great service. Never again.

Food was very bad! I had the pho and when it was brought out to me, I could see that the noodles were from an instant noodle package as they had not separated and melted into the hot soup yet and were still in their packaged shape. Once I got them separated, they were very bad....thin and not like the thicker noodles I normally see in pho. There was very little meat in the soup, probably about three thin slices. Mostly liquid and the instant noodles. Won't be going back.

When I crave Viet food and in a crunch for time, I often will come here. They have a pretty extensive menu including traditional Viet dishes to pho. They also have a lunch menu with a good amount of dishes to pick from. The lunch boxes come with a salad, your choice of roll - spring roll or summer, rice and of course, your entree. My favorites are the ginger chicken and the shaky beef. My friend loves their pho - I haven't tried but it looks and smells delicious. Service is good but sometimes understaffed. If it's busy, it can take a bit of time. No biggie, just know that if it's during lunch rush, you can wait a bit.

This place is a good place to get your Vietnamese food fix. My husband and I got the spring rolls, appetizer pho and the grill your way. Overall we thought it was good Viet food for the Vienna area.

I got pho to go on a cold rainy day! I ordered pho with Rib eye, flank and brisket. The receptionist was very nice and polite! I ordered it at the checkout counter and then sat at the nearest table while they made the order. The aesthetics were dim lighting, with tiling, some plants and the honour shrine worked into the checkout counter. The food didn't take that long to make. I think I waited about 6 minutes for the to-go order. When I got back to work, I unpacked everything in the photo below. The broth was really tasty! The size was really good! I made one pho cooking the meat and then put in the remaining noodles and other ingredients to have a second meal later on shift. I'm a fan for Viet Aroma and will be back!

I believe they may. And they may also have specials. Either way, it’s a cozy place with great prices and excellent food.

My friend and I had our orders taken quickly, and food was out within 10 minutes. PHO HAI DUONG DAC BIET - 16.95 The pho broth was more salty than it was beefy/savory. It leaned clean rather than fatty. After awhile, I got tired of the heavy sodium flavor. There was a good amount of meat, and the noodles were a good texture -- bit chewy and not soggy. Overall, it was fine, but nothing to write home about. My friend enjoyed her rice combination dish with grilled pork and shredded pork skin. I've had the pho at other Pho Hai Duong locations before and enjoyed it more then. Maybe just a one off? I'd be open to return if I'm in the area and wanting pho.

The restaurant is very easy to find. There's limited customer parking in the front, but additional parking is available in the rear, which makes it convenient overall. Once inside, the space is huge and welcoming, with a nice mix of booths and tables. You're greeted immediately, which sets the tone right away. They promptly provide both the lunch special menu and the full traditional menu, which I appreciated. I chose the grilled pork bánh mì lunch special, which comes with your choice of a spring roll (fresh rice paper or crispy) and a soda. I went with the crispy spring roll and a soda. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The portions were perfect for lunch not too heavy, but very satisfying. The service was impeccable: friendly, attentive staff and quick turnaround time. The restaurant was also clean and well-maintained, which always matters. Overall, this was a great lunch experience. Quick service, good portions, fresh food, and excellent customer service. I would absolutely recommend stopping in and taking advantage of their lunch specials if you're in the mood for Vietnamese food.

Unfortunately, the dining experience didn't match our expectations. Although the food may use higher-quality ingredients, everything was served in disposable paper bowls with plastic utensils, which made it feel more like a takeout restaurant than a sit-down dining experience. For a restaurant promoting health and quality, serving hot food in paper bowls and using plastic throughout felt contradictory. The portions were also on the smaller side, and the prices were the highest I've seen at any pho restaurant. While I appreciate the focus on ingredient quality, the overall value just wasn't there for us. We left feeling underwhelmed given the cost and presentation.

I got the beef combination pho and enjoyed all the different cuts of beef, especially the oxtail, so tender and flavorful. This location recently changed their interior and now has plenty of seating inside. It is always clean and service is always swift and friendly. Don't worry about coming here when it is too hot outside because the AC is strong too. The mango sago dessert was not my favorite, texture was a little too slippery for me. However I did enjoy the coconutty/tart flavor and the oats in the bottom!

So, looking for banh mi's we wanted to still look for a place where we would enjoy and also to find something that we couldn't have in Atlanta. We landed here at Bon Bon's a couple of times. The first time we came, the restaurant times said it opened at 8, but when we came at 8 AM on a weekday, lights were off and everything was locked up. Sadly, we couldn't get to try it. The second time, we came during a brunch time on a Saturday, they were open! So we finally got to try what they had to offer. We ordered the bo ne and also the banh mi chao. And honestly the bread here was by far I think the best that we've had since being here in DC. It was freshly baked and it was fluffy. With the bo ne, it was a wonderful pair where you could dip into the sauce and still have that fluffy bread soak it all up. The food did take a while to come out because they made everything fresh. They also did a lot of takeouts when we were there. I enjoyed our visit here and could see ourselves come back when we have time.
