This review is only for the pho. I ordered the rare steak, with extra rare steak. My usual pho. I ordered a large bowl. It wasn't very satisfying for my taste. The broth just wasn't it. I'm sure they have other great things on the menu. The restaurant was very clean. The workers were attentive. There's plenty of parking.

Best Vietnamese iced coffee here, no contest. Good price, cold, perfect nutty Chocolatey flavor just from coffee beans!!! Not too sweet and perfect pick me up during the work day. I have not tried any other food here but I'm trying a banh mi today and I know it will be delicious. The people I've met behind the counter are very nice and helpful. Always so nice :)

Delicious Vietnamese food. Not certain where my original review went. I've been dining here for 10 years. Over the years, I've had the Bánh Mi sandwich, chicken pho soup, the vermicelli noodles, rice and meat dishes, and spring rolls. Service is always consistent. It's family owned so you get that authentic-family feel. Casual dining. You order and they bring the food out to you. Then you pay at the counter in the back before you leave. Delicious food. Always piping hot and good portions. Highly recommend.

I have been to other locations and this is good just not as good as Centreville. I got a large pho with brisket and rare steak. The rare steak was not good but the brisket was. I liked how the place had a large space for seating so it was really easy to get a table. I would still say a solid place for pho.

Don't let the name Pho fool you - the menu is vast with yummy Viet dishes. Stop here often as it's mid way after visit to dad's grave (FFx memorial) and mom's house. Bonus, right next to Traders Joe for quick grocery stop. Portions are generous even the apps. They have five different locations, so obviously can cook very well. Service friendly and quick.

One of my favorite spots in the DMV for Vietnamese cuisine. Ordered the summer rolls, broken rice dish with pork chop, and bun mam. Their bun mam soup is insanely delicious.

My go to for door dash for no ratings for service or ambiance. Big portions for the price, lots of meat. The broth is just a little oily but otherwise this place is delicious and the best value out there right now. I always get the combo. Happy eats!

And let's say we were not disappointed, tucked away in a shopping is a gem of place, walking into this place was presently surprised with the clean and modern vibe which is awesome So good job ! Now food ... Oh damn all of it was fresh ingredients and packed full of flavor. Homemade Nem Noung Coung was delicious and the dipping sauce for it was onpoint ... it had a nice peppery flavor to it which was a pleasant surprise and did well . The coriander chicken salad was fresh and on point .. fresh herbs makes the dish. Bo ne was full of tender cubes of steak and fresh pate so good .. Scallion noodles and lobster delicious ! Nothing exceptional but good quality, good food And a fair amount of steak in mine for $16. I wish I could say the same about the service or lack there of provided by the two young female servers. For starters, they have zero communication skills. They drop things at the table and just stand there without a word. I did not receive the Vietnamese coffee that I ordered until I asked for it nor was I asked whether or not I wanted it with whipped cream - there's was no description on the menu so I wasn't aware it came with whipped cream. When we placed our order we asked for extra cilantro and received no cilantro at all. Once the runner delivered our food no one came over to ask how everything had turned out, if we needed anything else etc. The lack of communication, lack of attention to detail and quite frankly complete lack of personality turned a pleasant afternoon meal into a disappointment. It's a shame because I saw several other things on the menu that I'd like to try but I'm not interested in being in that unpleasant atmosphere again

The dinnerware they use is so cute, too, which is always a plus! My go-tos.. -bot chien: pan fried rice flour cake in egg omelet. A must try. The soy-based slightly sweet dipping sauce is highly addictive! -rice vermicelli bowls: always fresh & packed with all the wonderful herbs & fixings. Their grilled pork is my favorite. I love their nuoc cham fish sauce. -broken rice (com tam): my favorite thing from here. Their grilled pork chop with bone is incredible. C8 is the best with all the classic com tam sides. -Bun bo hue: I'm picky with my BBH since I'm certain my grandma makes the best version. But it's amazing here! The broth is so aromatic with the perfect kick to it.

During busy hours, service is surprisingly quite slow. I found my table to be waiting 10-15 minutes for our order to come out which is unusual for a pho restaurant. Also in terms of my rating for food, I have not personally tried their pho but have tried their other dishes like the bun bo hue noodles and the bun dau mam tom which are more traditional Vietnamese dishes that a Vietnamese person would come here and order and I think they are very good except the bun bo hue is not at all spicy like the traditional broth and the bun dau mam tom is a little lacking in toppings. Other than that, I am willing to return to try their pho and try for myself to see if the pho holds up to the standards that customers love.

Wow, we were really impressed by Gao's chicken pho and crepe! Absolutely we will be back…read more When we came a bit before noon there was just one other customer. But by the time we left, most of the tables were taken. Service was excellent with our orders prepared correctly. The conventional wisdom around these parts is that Pho 75 has the best pho, but I think Gao's delicious chicken broth just might have an edge over Pho 75's broth. The shrimp crepe was amazing. With the perfect texture it was delicious. Next time here I'm going to order this baby. We also ordered the crispy party wings. They had a perfect level of saltiness and the wings were only lightly seasoned with five spice. Lastly, we opted for the Vietnamese coffee. Gao's coffee is so tasty. Paired with condensed milk it's excellent. Love it!

Gao actually deserves 4 stars, but I had to deduct a star because I left hungry!…read more We found Gao after running errands in the Microcenter shopping center and came in around 6pm today on a Wednesday evening for dinner. There were plenty of open tables but no staff in the front when we arrived so we stood around for 2-3 minutes waiting to be seated. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated with a subtle hint to Vietnamese culture. Like many casual Viet joints around here, there was a TV showcasing Vietnam tourism, although the TV in the back was also showing Japan tourism which was odd. We were brought two cups of water with no ice and had to request ice, which was also odd considering it was in the upper 80s outside. The menu has many Viet cuisine classics like pho, bahn mi, bun, bun bo hue, ba cua, and com tam. Although we're in peak heat of summer, I could never turn down a bowl of pho! I was a little confused as the menu was entirely in English and I usually know my order in Vietnamese and couldn't tell which English option it was as the English descriptors were kinda generic. It's a little saddening that the owners thought that a bilingual menu would be more of an obstacle than an opportunity for their customers to learn and connect with the food and culture. There might be something more there but I'll let my therapist unravel that one lol. I customized to my usual pho tai gan. Herbs, especially the basil, was very fresh and I appreciated the big leaves. The lime was kinda dry. Noodles were al dente and I like mine a little more done but the texture evened out as the hot broth kept cooking it while I was eating. The soup was good and flavorful, well balanced and not too "clean" and not too "dirty". The soup was the highest ranking component but the soup to noodles ratio was off, with too little noodles, hence, leaving me with almost half a bowl of broth and a half empty stomach by the time I finished the meat and noodles. The flank was cooked well-done and I would have preferred the traditional way of serving the meat raw in the boiling soup. My favourite ingredient in any pho is tendon and the tendon here I can only describe as displeasurable. The texture was too soft and goopy and the taste was very bland like it was added to the soup before serving instead of absorbing any of the soup flavour. It's like how honey or brown sugar boba is the norm now so when you go to a place where the tapioca isn't soaked in sugar it is a bland and unsettling taste. Overall I would rank the pho well, beating out local places like Pho Duong and Pho 4 ever, but not able to topple the OG, Pho 75. I'm hoping these quirks from my visit today are addressed to improve the dining experience and add more commitment to the Vietnamese culture.
