    Bun bo hue
    Jim H.

Located in a cafeteria setting, this is a self service business. They do bring your food to your table which is nice. Food portions are good so no complaints here. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue which was good and have previously ordered other things here and over been disappointed. If you feel like lounging in the Popup this is a good place to start.

Ate here two days in a row. And easily this will be a staple everytime im in the area. Fun part is we went on a road trip from New jersey to alabama, and had Vietnamese food in almost every state that had a bigger population of Vietnamese people. This place was only one with banh nam in a restaurant setting so I had to order it. But in short this was the best out of all the other spots we went to.

I love this new food hall addition to Eden Center! I'll save my thoughts on Pop Up for another review -- this one's all about Sun-C. Lately I've been on a bit of an ADHD fixation with Bún Thịt Nướng, and I've gotta say... Sun-C's version might be my favorite so far. I usually order it with salad only (no extra herbs or veggies), but you can customize it -- add egg rolls, or even bo la lot (beef wrapped in grape leaves). The first time I got it with bo la lot, and it came with nuoc mam (fish sauce) for the noodles and peanut sauce for the beef rolls. I alternated between both sauces and honestly... I didn't hate it. It's definitely not traditional to eat the noodles with peanut sauce, but it actually worked -- surprisingly good. If Eden Center wasnt such a pain to get around and park at, I'd probably be coming here once a week.

Ambiance: fun and lively food hall at the Eden Center with a central bar with Happy Hour from 5-8pm!! They also have weekend gigs so check them out. Service: they just open so be patient with the vendors. There are runners that came to clear trays off the tables. Food: I had the food from the Vietnamese food stall SunC. The food was great! They have items that you don't see on regular menus. There is a Thai and Korean as well as a dessert and coffee stalls. I can't wait to see more events here. The food options were great and the prices are reasonable as well.

Vermicelli bowl with grilled pork was delicious! The meat was so moist (not fatty) with the char grilled fragrance, which you don't find often in the Viet's restaurants nowaday. The fish sauce was good too! I added Bò Lá Lốt and was a good choice as well. The people work there are nice and great in service as well. Will be back again for this!

It's ok, nothing too crazy about. Some dish did lack the deep flavor like the bun Bo. Banh bot Lộc was too thick, sweet and spicy chicken feet was good.

Absolutely delicious. Kindest staff. Food came out quickly. It's a food hall type place with all different types of Asian foods. Lots of seating. But the pho was 10/10. I really enjoyed it. My husband did as well.

Lovely authentic Vietnamese spot open late! I loved the banh bot loc here (I saw the batter and meat in their kitchen along with a plate of rolled up banh bot loc). This is the most fresh banh bot loc I've had at a restaurant and I was surrounded by this in San Jose CA. The banh nam was okay to me -- perhaps a bit over-steamed. The soup cua la la was very yummy and felt like a comfortable hug. I will be back and would not get banh bot loc anywhere else in the plaza. Service was nice and attentive.

Trying out another stall at Pop Up district. I had to try some pho since I was here and got the special. This bowl had a surprising amount of meat that was both pretty tender and flavorful. The broth was very rich but a tad on the oily side for me. While a bit expensive, it is pretty solid pho that you can get super late at night!

Love the Food Hall vibe here. A cool addition to the Eden Center. I have eaten at Sun-C a few times and liked what they have. Today I had the banh nam (IFKYK). Very fresh here and good chunky ground pork in it. It was made fresh when I ordered it (a weekday), so it was hot and delicious (only a 7 minute wait). The people here are so nice! Definitely a family run place. I couldn't decide to eat here or take home, and they gave me takeaway stuff when they delivered it.

Bún thịt nướng / SunC Grill & Chill Bowl
    Lisa N.

The food came out really well the dishes were flavorful. The Bún thịt nướng / SunC Grill & Chill Bowl was a small proportion but made sense for the cost. The Bánh Bột Lọc Trần / Naked Jello Bites (10 pieces) was good as an appetizer I shared with a friend. I really enjoyed it. The fish sauce was sweet and spicy. Perfect to go with the bites.

Sun-C has great food, atmosphere, and service! The owners are very friendly and kind. I highly recommend the bun bo hue; its authentic, bold, and comforting.

Great Central Vietnamese food. Best is the banh nam. It'd hard to get this at restaurants. So it was a nice uncommon treat.

Hoang Viet Restaurant can be hard to spot, as it's inside one of the little indoor shopping complexes in the corner of the broader Eden Center complex, right across the street from Happy Lamb Hot Pot. However, if you are lucky enough to find this shop, prepare to be wowed with some of the best and most authentic Hue cooking in the DMV. This no-frills restaurant centers on Central / Northern Vietnam, with a particular focus on Bun Bo Hue, a super flavorful spicy beef and pork noodle soup with a rich, spicy broth and tons of mix-ins. I'm still dreaming about their bun rieu, a beautiful crab and shrimp noodle soup that comes with a generous helping of chewy rice noodles, tender and juicy shrimp, and a deeply flavorful, slightly spicy, and slightly sour and tangy broth made with tomatoes and crab. It comes topped with fresh scallions and green onions, as well as a few fried onions for a bit of crunch. The service is efficient and friendly, and the food comes out incredibly quickly. That was a big mistake because Truong Tien is inside and it is amazing! My son and I started with Banh Beo Nhan Kho Tom Chay, a dish of steamed rice cake topped with fried shallots, dried powdered shrimp (prawn floss) and chicharron which you then can top with a spicy sauce. They come in little tiny dishes that you can kind of slurp the rice cake from like an oyster. The combination of textures and temperatures and flavors was delicious - and not too filling as a starter. We wanted to have a Banh Khoai Nuoc Leo (crispy pancake taco-like dish with a dipping sauce) but they were out for the day (we were there at about 4pm) so instead we had vermicelli bowls (Bun Nem Nuong) with Asian style sausage and fried spring rolls. Topped with peanuts and fish sauce, it was fresh and delicious. The host greets you warmly and offers ice water, hot or iced tea (complimentary) and the restaurant decor is absolutely beautiful. There's also a gorgeous display of food for sale near the register, including fried bananas and donut/beignet sort of treats. (Couldn't resist splitting one of those and it was lovely- not heavy or greasy and lightly sweetened.

We cannot fully recall the names of the dishes but I took pictures of them. We had 2 vermicelli entrees and one had pork, and the other had dried seafood with shrimp. I also loved the spicy fermented tofu dipping sauce. All of the dishes can be dipped in any and all of the dipping sauces accompanied by the other dishes. The waitress also brought a small bowl of rice with lemongrass pork for my baby to eat (on the house). The waitress was awesome :) Before tip the total came out to be $52. The price is super worth it. The taste was absolutely amazing. 5/5

Today a middle-aged waitress gave me an attitude when she took our order. She looked at me several times like she was disapproving of me, although I believe I looked pleasant, well-kept, and professional. The waitress literally stared me down, with an attitude like "I'm better than you." WTF? I come here to kindly eat at your restaurant, I was dressed casual, not dressed to show off or flaunt anything that I have. If it were not for the presence of my companion I would probably have complained to the assistant manager about the waitress' rude behavior. Furthermore, a comment or two on the quality of the food. The seafood bird's nest dish had minimal portions of seafood -- four small shrimp, two small scallops, and three small pieces of squid with less-appetizing pieces of vegetables -- all for $23! Moreover, the shaky beef dish was dipped in baking soda or baking powder, making the dish tastes quite bitter. The bitter taste could hardly mask the fact that the beef cubes have been sitting around for a few days --the meat were partially rotting. Three dishes cost us $71. including tax, We left the restaurant still feeling hungry.
