As soon as I walked in, the was very quiet and very low-key I really enjoyed this environment. Every time I come it's very relaxing to be in here. I usually come in the morning and there's not a lot of people so it makes it nice . I always get the p.18 small, when I tell you that portions are very nice and worth every single dollar. Definitely one of the best restaurants I've had . Manager was so nice, I love it here, very clean and large portions.

Wow, very clean and delicious pho. I'm from the Bay Area California and this broth was cleaner than a lot of places I've tried. Authentic and flavorful. I got p7 pho with rare steak, fatty brisket, and tendon and was very happy with it. We also got pork spring roll which had the crunchy skin and fresh veggies inside and it was well executed with their dipping sauce. Cafe sua was yummy too! Other than the amazing food, service was great and attentive as well. When we were packing leftovers, we put the sauce in our to go box and the server came by with a to go sauce container for us. Very nice and attentive of him! Prices were ok too, $14 for a small bowl of pho. I didn't even finish mine and took it to go. Thanks for the amazing clean pho and delicious viet food Pho4ever!!

I haven't been here since it converted from Viet House (RIP). Stopped by for dinner with friends Sunday evening around 7. We arrived at the same time with another 10-person party. I anticipated longer wait time, but service was fast and polite. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Pho, vermicelli, summer rolls were all good and exactly what you can expect from a good pho restaurant. They have a lot more offerings than the typical pho place. I ordered the B13 banh hoi thit nuong (vermicelli wrap with herbs and pork). It was delicious. Vegetables were fresh. I ended up asking for more lettuce. Will come back again!

This place has delicious authentic Vietnamese food, including great pho and my favorite - bun bo hue, which is not served at very many Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The restaurant is cozy and clean inside, with beautiful art on the walls, and service is fast. Last time I came with my family, the waiter wasn't very attentive, but the food was fresh and delicious, so our experience was great nonetheless. I also LOVE the gorgeous bowls they serve their soup in

Pho was good, a little greasy but lots of noodles and fresh meat. The summer rolls were wonderful and stuffed full, which was amazing. Prices were decent, but service was lacking with 2 tables being sat and served with waters before my sister and I received water, even though we were sat beforehand. Waitstaff were not friendly or attentive, and you pay at the counter but are still asked to tip. Would come again, but I'm not sure if I would tip 20% or even 18%.

This is a really good spot if you are looking for tasty Vietnamese food in Fairfax. The menu offers a wide variety of all your Viet food favorites so there is something for everyone. The restaurant is also very clean and the staff is very fast. They aren't the friendliest but starting to think that's just the norm. On to the food, we decided to get Vermicelli noodles with Eggroll and the spicy beef noodle soup. The vermicelli bowl was full of fresh vegetables and packed with plenty of protein. It came with a tasty fish sauce for dipping. This is a great option for even the pickiest eaters. The spicy beef noodle soup was also delicious and comes with a compliment of veggies. The broth is pretty rich and the soup is has alot of protein. The eggrolls were pretty average tasting and a little overpriced so I'd pass on those in the future. Overall pretty solid option! Will definitely be back.

Stopped back in today and had another excellent experience! Food was just as good as the last visit and service was friendly and prompt. The inside has plenty of 4-top tables and it's not too large inside with one tv as well as music playing.

    "Large" and "small" phô ?

From the moment we seated ourselves, things were frosty. Asked for water with "no ice" and attitude was miserable. We ordered the pork egg rolls and bullet shrimp, both had been cooked hours ahead of time and reheated or microwaved when served to us. Gross! Did not bother to eat. Also, can you spot the large soup vs small soup in the picture? Nope, neither can I but big price difference. When I sarcastically asked "which one is large and which one is small?" Waiter pointed to the beef and said incredulously "that one". Phô was average. I usually give restaurants two chances but after driving 20 min, what a mistake. Not coming back.

I was in Fairfax for an appointment and decided to check this place out for lunch (it's located in a large strip mall which has a ton of fun choices of different cuisine). The front of the restaurant looks as though it's under construction but it isn't and they have a sign that says COME IN WE ARE OPEN. I was immediately greeted, seated and given a menu and water by a very friendly server. I went with my usual which is summer rolls and Tai Gau Pho. The food was delivered to my table promptly and looked amazing. The summer rolls were fresh and delicious and the pho was loaded with lots of meat and noodles, however, it was a little oily and not as flavorful as other pho I've had. You know I still ate it all because even mediocre pho is still good pho lol.

I'm not sure I'd call the service friendly, but it was fast. The pho was good. The pork bun was tasty, though rather fatty.

    Beef fried rice.

Great service and friendly staff. My family was here a few days ago for dinner. The egg rolls were OK. However, the bun bo heu and the rice dishes were very good. I was very impressed. Definitely will be back to try other dishes. Thanks.

Nothing exceptional but good quality, good food And a fair amount of steak in mine for $16. I wish I could say the same about the service or lack there of provided by the two young female servers. For starters, they have zero communication skills. They drop things at the table and just stand there without a word. I did not receive the Vietnamese coffee that I ordered until I asked for it nor was I asked whether or not I wanted it with whipped cream - there's was no description on the menu so I wasn't aware it came with whipped cream. When we placed our order we asked for extra cilantro and received no cilantro at all. Once the runner delivered our food no one came over to ask how everything had turned out, if we needed anything else etc. The lack of communication, lack of attention to detail and quite frankly complete lack of personality turned a pleasant afternoon meal into a disappointment. It's a shame because I saw several other things on the menu that I'd like to try but I'm not interested in being in that unpleasant atmosphere again

Gao actually deserves 4 stars, but I had to deduct a star because I left hungry!…read more We found Gao after running errands in the Microcenter shopping center and came in around 6pm today on a Wednesday evening for dinner. There were plenty of open tables but no staff in the front when we arrived so we stood around for 2-3 minutes waiting to be seated. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated with a subtle hint to Vietnamese culture. Like many casual Viet joints around here, there was a TV showcasing Vietnam tourism, although the TV in the back was also showing Japan tourism which was odd. We were brought two cups of water with no ice and had to request ice, which was also odd considering it was in the upper 80s outside. The menu has many Viet cuisine classics like pho, bahn mi, bun, bun bo hue, ba cua, and com tam. Although we're in peak heat of summer, I could never turn down a bowl of pho! I was a little confused as the menu was entirely in English and I usually know my order in Vietnamese and couldn't tell which English option it was as the English descriptors were kinda generic. It's a little saddening that the owners thought that a bilingual menu would be more of an obstacle than an opportunity for their customers to learn and connect with the food and culture. There might be something more there but I'll let my therapist unravel that one lol. I customized to my usual pho tai gan. Herbs, especially the basil, was very fresh and I appreciated the big leaves. The lime was kinda dry. Noodles were al dente and I like mine a little more done but the texture evened out as the hot broth kept cooking it while I was eating. The soup was good and flavorful, well balanced and not too "clean" and not too "dirty". The soup was the highest ranking component but the soup to noodles ratio was off, with too little noodles, hence, leaving me with almost half a bowl of broth and a half empty stomach by the time I finished the meat and noodles. The flank was cooked well-done and I would have preferred the traditional way of serving the meat raw in the boiling soup. My favourite ingredient in any pho is tendon and the tendon here I can only describe as displeasurable. The texture was too soft and goopy and the taste was very bland like it was added to the soup before serving instead of absorbing any of the soup flavour. It's like how honey or brown sugar boba is the norm now so when you go to a place where the tapioca isn't soaked in sugar it is a bland and unsettling taste. Overall I would rank the pho well, beating out local places like Pho Duong and Pho 4 ever, but not able to topple the OG, Pho 75. I'm hoping these quirks from my visit today are addressed to improve the dining experience and add more commitment to the Vietnamese culture.
