I came here on a Friday evening around 6pm, and it was pretty busy. I ordered the pho4ever, which is similar to the combination meat pho. The pho broth had some flavor in it, but I was hoping for more. The amount of meat was exceptional. The siracha wasn't spicy, not sure why. Service; We've eaten hear before and had good experiences, not this time, wow..... Although the food was very good, the service was frighting. My wife and I were treated terribly. We thanked the waiter several times before the main course arrived, but only recieved ugly looks. The Vietnamese waiter spoke fluent English. When the main courses arrived, we asked for forks because we couldn't use chopsticks, the waiter looked at us like he wanted to kill us, his body gestures spelled get out. We should have left but didn't want to make a scene. We felt hate and were clearly discriminated against because we weren't Vietnamese. No refills hear if your not Asian, just get out and don't come back was our experience at Pho 4 Ever. It's sad because Vietnamese cuisine is one of our favorites. Welcome to Pho 4ever. I was greeted by two guys, but they seemed discombobulated for a few moments. I was thinking this could be a place to take my wife and her friend at some point. The store looks nice and it had several people who were already eating here. I asked for a takeout menu and one guy again seemed discombobulated again. The other guy seemed to get out of his state of confusion and picked up on what I was putting down. I was informed the take out menu is 2 years old. Inflation has brought up the prices for many if the items on the menu. Yeah, the dude was kidding at all. I decided to order some Crispy Spring Rolls, but first I put food and drink from another restaurant in the car. When i returned, a woman greeted me this time. The woman (who wore no name tags like the to males who greeted me) was very discombobulated as I soon found out. I think if her as a Deidre just for name sake. Deidre took my older of two crispy pork egg rolls as they are called in the menu. I asked Deidre not to include sauce for my orders and she seemed to understand, but clearly she did not. I ended up having to pay twice for the order of crispy pork egg rolls, because she only charged me for one order. The first wait time took 11 minutes, but the second order wasn't even 5 minutes. I saw the two males looking at me and snickering at me after my second order was delivered. This makes me wonder if I just got scammed; as well as given food that had been precooked and not dished out to another guest. This left a bad taste in my mouth. I did not eat the second order this night and I will be inspecting the food more carefully tomorrow. The first bite of the crispy egg rolls were okay. Not the best I have tasted, but not the worst either. Pho 4Ever may be a thing, but I am not sure I will be coming back here. This place was pretty good! The nem nuong spring rolls have a nice slab of meat in it and a fried wrapper that adds a really nice crunchy texture. Not a big fan of the sauce that comes with it but it's good. Got the bun Bo hue and it was really good with a decent amount of meat. This may be one of my favorite Vietnamese spots in the area -- seriously so good! The menu is extensive, sometimes overwhelmingly so, but offers so many variations of classic dishes that there's a high chance you'll find something you really like. Personally, my favorite is the C7 on the menu, also known as the broken rice dish with grilled pork, shredded pork, egg quiche, and fried egg (Cm Tm Tht Nng, Bì, Ch, Trng Chiên in Vietnamese). Talk about a tongue twister, and a full plate! The egg quiche and shredded pork was especially good, and honestly I've been craving more of the same ever since I had it for lunch yesterday. I came for Pho and Bahn Mi and i must say Im impressed. I'm very peculiar with the pho broth and this came close to my favorite. What i'm surprised about is the Bahn Mi. The greatest mistake ever. I think i ordered the combo but ended up getting the grilled pork or bbq. I ended up loving it because it tastes like the Bahn Mi I used to get at Mr Baguette at Atlantic Blvd - East LA. Its super good, the bread the spread the amount of meat and pickled vegetables are just perfect. Im just surprised at the pate - I can taste it compared to others. Service is amazing, ambiance is just right. I ordered to go, so the noodles already on a bowl so it's easy to eat at home. The broth is really good, if theres MSG - might be just a tad because it didn't hit me. Temperature is hot, as to how I like it, i don't have to reheat which is another plus for me. I love the updated interior of the restaurant. The tiled walls, nice tables and pictures make the restaurant a much more pleasant place to eat at than the previous pho restaurant that used to be here. The service was also very good; the servers were fast and professional. All the employees wore masks. Got two vermicelli noodle dishes, and they were OK, I've had more flavorful ones before. The crispy rolls were not extra crispy, and the grilled pork could have been more flavorful. Also I think their fish sauce recipe could have used more sugar and a little more Birds eye chilis. New life breathe into an old standby! This dated shopping center used to house a Pho establishment. Looks like Yelp reviewers hit the nail on the head when they gave it 5 stars. The new owners took over about 4 months ago. They kept the old chefs but added more variety to their menu. They also have a handy dandy photo menu for those of us not too familiar with the various Vietnamese dishes. Their Pho photo menu was awesome. The food was really good. We overindulged because the wife likes to try everything. We started out with the combination appetizer platter. The garden roll was huge and full of shrimp and sliced pork. Their fried spring rolls were also very tasty. To compliment everything they brought out a nice selection of sauces. My large Pho dish was hot, tasty and full of noodles, meat and spice. I added a fried egg that I dumped into my Pho. This was a memorable meal. I have to give a big shout out to the exemplary service, from the head order taker to those food runners. Water glasses were never waiting to be refilled. The staff was on point for everything. Our favorite fairfax neighborhood viet restaurant/outside of going all the way to Eden. Everything we've tried (vermicelli wraps, broken rice, vermicelli bowls, etc.) are all very good. We've now been 5 times and every time is consistently good. Have not tried the pho. Where you wrap the meats, lettuce, cilantro, mint, holy basil in the rice vermicelli folds. The smoothies are great (not dairy free). The service is wonderful. I've been coming here for a long time and always loved their food. Recently, I noticed they began to decrease the quality of their ingredients. A big change was the move to iceberg lettuce instead of romaine/green leaf. As Vietnamese food is a lot of fresh greens, this makes me sad as iceberg is a terrible alternative. Another change is the portion size on the platters for item B17. The portion was cut in half vs what I used to get before. I guess pandemic is tough, and corners will have to be cut. We ordered their specialties for appetizers - Banh Beo, Nem Nuong Cuon, and Hen Xuc Banh Trang (baby clams with rice cracker). All really good! My favorites had to be the banh beo and the baby clams. Super flavorful and reminded me of home! For entrees we got Bun Bo Hue, Bo Luc Lac, and Hu Tieu. I was so hesitant to drive all the way out here for some good Vietnamese food until a native Virginian recommended this spot. Came here on a busy weekday with some friends and ordered a little bit of everything. I believe this place used to be pho nom nom? Well this place is decent. A huge menu so I can't really say they specialize in anything but they have everything!! Pho, rice dishes, noodle dishes (forgive me I can't read, write, or speak Vietnamese even though I am ) this place has it all. I've tried their pho, nothing to rave about and some appetizers they have.
