Yummy!! My favorite pho place to go! The owner is super nice and orders come out really fast!

I ordered bitesquad from these guys. I ordered the beef stew pho and instead of getting BEEF. I got a big bowl of FAT instead. I ordered close to their closing time so I assume they already served all the beef, so they thought it'd be okay to stuff my bowl full of left over fat. I only got 2 tiny pieces of beef. Instead of cancelling my order and sending a refund they went for the quick buck and serve this trash plate instead. I'll give 2 stars only because I ordered a few dishes and the rest were fine. read more

First time trying it and I gotta say Pho is never a take out kind of item I think if everything was hot and steaming it would be way better. The cashier was rude, she hesitated to give me the receipt for my order, her reason was "I don't know, my boss told me that". I ordered Pho and Spicy Beef Soup. Worst Pho I've ever had. Had take out for lunch with the work crew. No taste, small servings, and no utensils. Rare steak was hiding in the soup. Not rare anymore. Side order spring rolls were tiny. This place is a hidden gem! I went because I was craving some soup, so I got some bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup) that was delicious. But the real surprise winner of the meal was my friend's garlic tofu vermicelli noodle bowl. I've had very little experience with tofu, and none of it has been good, so I was skeptical. But man, this tofu was crispier and more flavorful than most places' chicken. It had this amazing sauce with crushed peanuts on top, and vegetables over the noodles. I'm excited to go back just so I can order this dish. All the noodle bowls look amazing, as do the banh mi sandwiches. This little Vietnamese Gem tucked away in the Hawaii Kai Shopping center is well worth the visit. Great place to eat, generous amounts of food and convenient parking. The service is fast, friendly and genuine and the food is fantastic! Henry his wife and sister make a great team. They greet each of their customers with genuine happiness to see you. Thank you Yelpers for helping us decide on where to go for Pho. It's a hidden gem and the best we've had by far!! There are 9 tables total available and clean. If you're a big party definitely call ahead to give them a heads up. The service was amazing since we walked in and they were pretty steady the entire time. We ordered the pork & chicken gyoza (deep fried), chicken pho and chicken teriyaki garlic. Everything was seasoned perfectly!! The broth was perfect...and served with an entree plate as well. Went to get a haircut at Jennys barbershop in Aiea, while waiting my turn in line. I got hungry and decided to try out the new pho place that just opened up. I went there and keep in mind I am a big fan of BBH or Bun Bo Hue and have searched around the island for a decent spot as I am spoiled from living in San Jose, Ca. and haven't found a decent spot. Still I decided to give it a try, and bruhh!!!... Best BBH on the island hands down. Talked to the owner Phuong and he said he lived out in San Jose, Ca. for a minute. Awesome guy, great customer service I reccoment this place to everyone who loves Bun Bo Hue looking forward to trying the Bun Rieu and Pho. Excellent service ! I let the guy working know that my husband and I were sick and that we needed some Pho to cure us. He made sure to include extra meat. The pho was delicious ! My husband and I had the beef brisket and the chicken. My only complaint is that it was a little difficult to find but parking was good ! Will definitely be eating here again. read more

Nothing like a spot that serves both Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine, my two faves! New spot that opened just 3 weeks ago! It's a small spot, but the food is kickin with flavor. We ordered the summer rolls to start, mom had the oxtail pho ($15) and grandma & I had the medium pho ($8) and combo pho ($10). I don't know about you, but when it comes to determining good pho it's all in the broth! And man, Pho Time did not disappoint. So much wonderful flavors in that piping hot soup, even the color of the broth was dark enough where you could tell it's been cooking for hours. They were also very generous and didn't skimp out on the meat. I sampled my mother's oxtail pho and the broth was flavorful! Dad had the bbq pork and spring roll vermicelli, which he mentioned was good. I had a bite of the spring roll and it was fresh and tasty. Being a person that wants to sample everything, I also ordered a side of sashimi (5 pc for $8) and was happy that the fish was fresh and tender. Lastly I ordered the French ice coffee with condensed milk. Yuuum. Not too sweet like a lot of places and had that strong coffee kick that I crave. Nice mug ($4.50). Unfortunately, too full for dessert but can't comment on that. As far as service, it was pretty good! Not sure if the owner himself helped us, but whoever he was, he was very friendly and helpful. They mistaken one of our orders but gladly fixed it right away. We were the only guests there at around 1:30 so he was very attentive. Shortly after the place filled up quick with a party of 10. (Guess news is traveling fast) Overall a great new pho spot in aiea that you should try out! Tasty food for a reasonable price. Of note, ordered chicken katsu for the brother for take out. Had a bite and the chicken was still crispy after the drive home. Sauce wasn't too bad either. Next time you can't choose between Japanese or Vietnamese, Come to Pho Time because they have both! Previously had pho here - broth was hot and flavorful, and I was very happy to find a decent pho restaurant near home. A few weeks later, I brought some friends with me for lunch and had a completely opposite experience. Friends ordered Japanese curry, which they said was good. I ordered the bún riêu, and it was terrible. WATERED DOWN BROTH: The broth was extremely diluted and they seemed to try to add flavor by dumping in excess amounts of mam ruoc (fermented shrimp paste), which was extremely unappetizing. Normally restaurants will provide that to you on the side, so you can add according to taste, since mam ruoc is very strong and pungent. INCORRECT ACCOMPANIMENTS: They did not provide the correct herbs and greens for the dish (looks like they used the regular herbs plate for pho, which is incorrect). Perhaps they had none of the correct stuff left, in which case they should let the customer know once they realize the issue, rather than being sneaky and hoping the customer won't notice. INCORRECT DISH: I ordered the bún riêu, a crab noodle soup. The worst part is that they did not even add the riêu. Instead they had two small shrimp and some cha (steamed pork), which is not normal for this dish. It appeared they did not have any riêu available and were hoping that the person ordering didn't know what was supposed to be in the dish. I had to ask three times where the riêu was and finally received a bowl of it around 10 minutes later, by which time my friends had finished their lunch and I had not started. For people who aren't knowledgeable about Vietnamese cuisine, this is like ordering a Kalbi BBQ lunch plate, and receiving a rice and tofu plate WITHOUT Kalbi because the restaurant was hoping you wouldn't know what Kalbi was or notice if it were missing. If I were the owner, I would be embarrassed by this. TERRIBLE SERVICE: Although there was only one worker in front, there were only three tables (including my group of 3) with customers. We waited for about 15 minutes before ordering because the worker was not paying attention. We finally got the worker's attention as he came to a table near us to bus the table, but he went to clear off the table first and do something else before finally coming back to us. It took over half an hour to order and receive our food during a slow period with only two other tables. I really wanted to like this place because it can be difficult to find good Vietnamese restaurants, but I will not be coming back here again. read more

I've been passing this place while going to Trina's and Golden Wheel. Was a little cautious since previous restaurants that occupied this space didn't do too well. Every time I've passed it's been busy so thought we'd try take out today. I called to check hours since it's Labor Day. Then looked at their online menu pictures to figure out what to order. I had the vermicelli noodles with spring rolls and chicken (#36), and my husband had the banh mi barbecue pork (#10). Very friendly owner who took my order over the phone. My husband picked up our food and said the restaurant was busy and the staff were friendly. Both our orders was tasty. The sandwich baguette was soft and fresh and the meat was tender. Loved my dish.., perfectly crunchy spring rolls and chicken.... generous portions! So excited about this restaurant.... we'll be back! read more

Pretty good!! I would say it's one of the best places in Aiea for pho. The service is fast and friendly. Also, I didn't try the bun bo hue this time, but not many restaurants offer this, so I'll be back for it in the future. The prices have increased .50 for the pho. Medium is 9.50 and a large is 10.50. Still a steal for the type of pho you are getting! Don't know of many restaurants in hawaii with food under 10 bucks. read more

Here's where I'd get my Pho fixing. I'm from mainland but the broth here is good. Prices are reasonable, and they give plenty of veggies for your pho. They accept Visa/CC's. I'd say they're better then most in the area. read more

My first time visit to this place and I was impressed with with the welcome greeting. The service was fast, however, I have to give the food a SUBPAR rating. I ordered the Duck Noodle w/five spices and received a disappointing duck that was not fresh looking but something that was previously frozen and old, no taste. Not at all what the menu photos portray. For the price it was not something I would recommend they have on the menu. My wife had a Banh Mi sandwich that was tasty, however the proportion was small. Not worth paying a price for. IN ALL would I revisit this restaurant I'd say not until they improve their food quality and improve their prices in accordance to the proportions of meal served. New vietnamese shop in aiea. Small and unassuming but worth the visit. Ordered the bun bo hue which is one of my favorites. It didn't match quite the taste I am accustomed too but was delicious nonetheless. Great hours, friendly staff, good service, and pretty delicious food.
