GREAT PRICES! This place is popping, so busy! I had to wait a while to be seated as it was so busy no one saw me waiting for a bit. Service here is not super friendly, they just point to a table to sit at then later take your order and that's about it. I'm not mad at it though, as everything came out pretty fast and delicious. Portions are very large for the price. All the sauces you need area already sitting at the table so you don't have to ask for any. Be sure to remember what table you sit at and which side (A or B) as you tell them this at the register to pay your bill. Absolutely incredible one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. We went on the weekend and it was pretty packed but there was still plenty of seating available. The wait staff is incredibly attentive and on top of everything. Make sure to get the Thai tea and the Banh hoi chao Tom. Honestly if I just got those two I would have been a happy camper. Wow ... best pho in Phoenix? Arguable unless best means bad. Let's start with the good - there are plenty of seats. That's about it. The service here is abysmal like everyone has stated. The spring rolls had skin that was chewy and hard, which means they were sitting out exposed to air or inside the fridge. The beef rib pho special had a partially cut up beef rib with all the fat still there, brisket pieces with hunks of fat still attached, and some careless cook not doing a great job with separating the noodles. The broth was full of msg and left me thirsty for hours. I eat a lot of pho everywhere work brings me and at home, this was by far the worst experience. I tried Pho Thanh a long time ago when I wasn't a very big fan of pho but years later I now love pho so wanted to give them another try. I ordered the brisket pho, grilled pork bahn mi, and an order of spring rolls. The pork in the spring rolls tasted a little funky and the peanut sauce was lacking flavor. The pho broth however was very delicious and the brisket was plentiful. Bahn mi was decent but I have had much better. My family and I went for dinner and tried the Phó! The gentleman who seated us was welcoming and polite. The Menu has a lot of real traditional Vietnamese dishes to try. I tried the Beef Phó with meatballs, beef tendon, brisket. The broth was very flavorful and it was a very large bowl bigger than other places I have been to. It had more meat and the sweet basil, jalapenos, bean sprouts , Ngo gai ( culantro) It was hot and the noodles very nicely cooked. They also have other Chile sauces if you like. We also tried the fresh spring rolls with fresh peanut sauce. Very good. I finished my dinner with a fresh drip vietnamese coffee! I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I was sat immediately close to the entrance. I waited for my friend as I reviewed the menu. They dropped off water quickly. My friend showed up and they came back to asked if we wanted anything to drink and are we ready to order. We were both ready. I got the Cha Gio (Deep fried pork egg rolls) & Com Tam Thit Nuong (Grilled pork and broken rice). The egg rolls came first and they bought the non-fried ones. When we arrived we were sat down fairly quickly and we received waters right away. The food itself was good, I had the Pho with beef brisket (#15). They had everything available for you at the table such as utensils, sauces and self serve chili oil was at a table in the middle of the restaurant. I would say that we didn't really get any service throughout our meal, for example, our waters were never refilled or we did not get asked if we were missing anything. For a table of 5, all ordering Pho, it did take quite a while to get our food after ordering. The restaurant itself is pretty big and it attaches to the boba spot, Milk Run, which is convenient as we went next door after dinner. We got there early enough to where there was a few open spots of parking but it is such a small parking lot so I can imagine it being a nightmare during a busy time of the day with multiple stores in that same corner. read more

In our party, we got the egg noodle soup, clear noodle soup with seafood, and pho with beef slices and brisket. The pho was the star as the soup/broth was very rich and flavorful with noodles and beef being the cherry on top. The clear noodle soup with seafood was a cleaner flavor, still delicious. The egg noodle soup was egg flavored from the noodle and relatively not that enjoyable. We also got the pancake with veggies inside though that was not as flavorful of a batter and the inside veggies was mainly bean sprouts and a radish/root-like veggie which overall tasted bland/watery. Delicious and decently priced! This place is perfect to come and have a quick, comforting meal by yourself or with a friend. They have large, long tables to accommodate for family gatherings as well. I was seated immediately, and my food came out probably less than 5 minutes later. My bowl of chicken pho was around $10, which is typical of most pho places I have gone to. So nothing out of the ordinary there! It was scrumptious and piping hot! The chicken tasted really flavorful and fresh, and the veggies too. Not that I don't like beef, but last time I ordered chicken pho from here, they served it with beef broth. I was glad to see that this time around, the chicken pho was served with chicken broth. Also, I did not order it this time- but I can speak for the last few times that I've been here that the thai tea is great! Do yourself a favor and order it. Or.. go to Milk Run next door and grab yourself some boba. The two spots are connected. Pho and boba is the best combo if you ask me! The atmosphere of Pho Thanh is decent. It is cleanly and well-lit with lots of natural lighting. There is some artwork along the walls, and also a wall of flowers where you walk in that can be a cute picture spot. The only thing really lacking here is service. It was not busy at all and yet nobody checked up on me to see if I wanted anything else, if I wanted a refill of water (I did ), or really even looked my way. Oh well! My go to spot for Vietnamese food. One of the best places for Pho (and trust me when I say this, as my boyfriend's family is Vietnamese and they are all quite picky with their Pho!). I also love their house special broken rice, especially with the side of soup that they have with it. How I wish I know how to make it! One recommendation though is for them to add one more person to take orders especially on busy nights. The place is quite big and there's only one guy that takes the orders. The meats and meatball were rough chopped and the noodles were typical pho noodles. Also ordered cha gio, I found it on the oily side and the cha gio used egg roll wrappers instead of the traditional rice paper. I also had a che 3 mau, which was just okay as well. Red beans, mung beans, green jelly, coconut milk and crushed ice were combined to make a sweet dessert. I think I would stick with pho as the selling point here. It was good enough. Pho Thanh is your classic, no-frills yet authentic pho spot with some of the most reasonably priced dishes I have ever seen (granted I do live in California) in tandem with large portions. We ordered the spring rolls, a seafood noodle soup, and the Pho Dac Biet with a massive short rib added on the side. Everything had the right amount of flavor and there was a literal mound of meats in the pho. My only complaint would be that the seafood noodle soup was a bit light on seafood but I can't harp on that too much given the price point. And that's coming from a Vietnamese mom who rarely gives credit to other people's cooking on Vietnamese dishes besides her own lol Food: Ordered #46 and #50 under the Vermicelli section. Shared with my sister so we can mix the meat toppings. I didn't care for the the shrimp patty that's wrapped in tofu in #50. But I loved everything else. So much flavor and juicy. My favorite was the shrimp ball on the sugar cane stick and the grilled pork in #46. The WHOLE peanuts hit different. I prefer that over the crushed peanuts they usually use. I was able to finish the whole bowl and was satisfied. Price point: For the portion you get, the price is fair. I've paid a bit more at other Vietnamese places and it's not as delicious and offers toppings like these. Service: It was busy and no one comes up to you besides looking at you from a far so you both acknowledge for you to sit anywhere. Ask for your extra sauces or anything else before getting your food because it's hard to catch them. They get really busy but they will get to you eventually. Was downtown at a work conference with coworkers and we dined here one evening. The restaurant is very authentic feeling Vietnamese/Pho cuisine. The restaurant itself had a nice vibe with plenty of Vietnamese diners which tells you that it's very authentic. We found a table and we greeted by our server who was very kind even though there was a language barrier between us which we had to work past. I found it especially amazing how well he knew the menu with hundreds of items on it and he had them memorized by number. If someone ordered a 44, he would ask specifications and meat choices and the order came out perfect. I ordered a Noodle Three Way dish that was REEAAALLLY GOOD!!
