It actually pains me to write this as I have been a loyal customer of theirs for years... For some reason the management has decided that they need to retire on nickel-and-diming people over condiments... I've been ordering the same thing weekly for well over a year to be delivered through Uber Eats... Today I got a $3 up charge for a cup of hoison sauce, a lime and some chili oil that they give everyone for free typically... I had spent $28 and they still felt like that wasn't something they could just give me... it just goes to show the lack of character and lack of respect for clientele that the current management has... Lucky for me there's about a million other places to eat pho... still, very disappointing... Great food at reasonable prices. $4 Bhan mi sandwiches as of this writing. I can order a bhan mi, shrimp spring roll and a drink for under ten $10. The pho is good as well. I wouldn't do the teriyaki again, but the chicken katsu was on par. Good location and cute decor. TV is a minus in my opinion. I've decided that Pho is my Seattle comfort food. And discovered that White Center has many Pho places around. I've made it a mission to check out all the non super scary ones. Pho-White Center wasn't too bad, the place was busy when I walked in, all but two tables were filled. I'm seated at a table provided a menu and some hot tea, I asked for water as well and it only arrived after my third time asking for it. In checking out the menu I noticed many 'different' 'Pho' options, shrimp, pork, and even duck besides your normal options. I went out on a limb and tried their pork Pho instead of their Pho Ga. I also had to try their salad rolls just for a comparison. Their salad rolls were the worst of any I've ever had, not fresh at all and their peanut sauce was thick and goopey and overly peanut-y I had two bites and covered the rest with a napkin and left them there to die a slow death. The Pho was actually very flavorful and tasty. The basil and bean sprouts were fresh and crisp as well and the lime was juicy. As for the pork it was a little odd, it looked like little bits of fingers chopped up but it tasted good and I guess that's what matters most. I should add I had their small, which came in a huge bowl but was mostly broth with very little filling, first time I've ever had that happen. Also I should note the lady at the table next to me had to get a new bowl of Pho, it sounded like she had a bug in her first bowl, once I heard that I stopped eating and went to pay my bill. I was lucky enough to get treated to lunch today and I chose Pho White Center above the other pho places because while they seemed a little empty at lunch time, PWC was hopping. My dad got a standard pho and I got the beef stew. Vietnamese beef stew is one of my favorite things and this was so good I wouldn't mind eating it every day. Dad loved his meatball pho, but after tasting my dish admitted he wished he'd gotten it. He even went so far as to request several more samples throughout the lunch, and since he was treating I could hardly refuse. Even after sharing, I had enough to take back to work with me though it didn't last long. I was full, but it was so good. Even cold in a plastic tub continued to delight until the last drop was gone. I would have licked the tub if I didn't have coworkers who may have found this disturbing. The broth was rich and perfectly spiced with meat was so tender that it was obvious it had been slowly cooked. Sure, I wish there was a little bit more, but I'll take what I can get. The decor is probably an extension of the family who runs its living room. Lots of knickknacks, fake flowers etc. The waitress was a helpful but apathetic teenage girl who probably had better things to do then work at her parents restaurant. If you want atmosphere and top notch service, go to Tamarind Tree but be sure to smuggle in some PWC beef stew because not even Tamarind can hold a candle. read more

We went roller skating across the street and smelled the pho from this place. Came in around noon on a Saturday with my husband and 2 young kids. We were seated right away by a young women with a smile on her face. Ordered a chicken bahn mi, large chicken pho, chicken and beef teriyaki, spring rolls and 2 bubble teas. Food came out so fast! And the portions were huge! The chicken in the bahn mi tasted like it was grilled on a bbq, pho was delicious, the kids asked for 3rds. Food tastes fresh, came out very fast, staff were sweet and helpful, restaurant was clean and a cute place to eat. All of that food came out to less than $40! Would highly recommend this place to anyone craving fresh, delicious vietnamese food for a great price and a nice place to eat. Thank you Pho White Center! read more

Terrible. I ordered a beef pho with extra meat and there was barely anything but noodles in it. Even the beef that was in it was terrible. Tiny little chunks of meat I could barely pick up with the chopsticks, rather than sliced beef found at REAL pho restaurants. The broth is too sweet. I even stood at the cash register for a few minutes while 2 of the employees in the kitchen watched me and did nothing. Finally, the woman said something in Vietnamese to some guy sitting out of my view, and he assisted me. I was able to pay and get the hell out of there. Wouldn't you know it? They actually CHARGED me for the extra meat that wasn't there. Check out 88 Pho or even Pho Lynna a few steps from here. Skip this place. The 4 and 5 star reviewers have never been to another pho place or are friends/relatives of these people. Best pho place ever? Portions huge? Not even close. read more

At first I didn't like it because their spring rolls were not what I was used to. Instead of pork it had a piece of fried egg roll wrapper in it. It tasted good and everything and it was fresh but it just was not hitting the spot for me. However the pho was very big very hot and tasted good. It didn't have that wow factor like some places do but it was a very satisfying bowl of pho. I will come back here again for the pho. But really I will come back here for their bahn mi. Their bread was fluffy but crunchy on the outside and still chewy when i bit into it. Their pork was marinated and grilled perfectly. After eating pho in Vietnam and all over the world I like to try and sample it wherever I can. Pho White Center did a good job on their pho ga broth. Meh. Tried this place based on the Yelp reviews and the experience was disappointing. Hubby had the beef pho, which was pretty tasty, although the meat portion was very stingy. The combination noodle bowl I had was lackluster. Half the bowl was mung bean sprouts, the noodles were all clumped together and there was maybe an ounce of pork -- a very scant portion for the $8.25 price tag. This block of 16th south of Roxbury is particularly sketchy. That coupled with the fact that the restaurant owners made us feel very unwelcome -- we were almost completely ignored -- makes the notion of ever going back very unappealing. read more

Wanting to satisfy my craving for the noodle soup, my fiance and I decided to try a new place by going to Pho White Center. We were severely disappointed. I ordered a bowl of combo pho with slices of beef and meatballs. Although the broth was decent, the "meats" were just too scary to eat. I also tried their fresh summer rolls, and it is the WORST summer rolls I've ever eaten. I gave up after two bites, and I can usually plow my way through crappy food. My fiance ordered grilled pork chops with rice, and it was barely edible. Overall, the quality was terrible. The small bowl is kind bigger than what I regularly get from other Pho place. - Not savory - I can't taste the beef stock. 5 stars = Chicken banh mi. Pho White Center is conveniently located in the heart of White Center, where back-in angle parking is a King County requirement. This pho joint is the best one I've tried in my relatively brief (one year) pho eating career. I am particularly fond of the veggie pho, although I've been known to consume a large bowl of combo pho (various and sundry meat items). I probably should try different things, but I can't get past the magical sensation associated with consuming this delightful concoction. My favorite part is making the pho almost unbearably spicy with the provided pepper flakes and sauces, as it has a kind of medicinal or shaman-like quality and seems to purge evil spirits from my system, especially after a hard night of funblogging. read more

Not just for Pho. Years of great lunches at this small and well attended restaurant. Frequented by several businesses in the areas and many regulars. My own favorite is the Bun Thit Nuong or rice noodle salad in warm weather and the Com Thit Nuong in cold. The Bun is a refreshing mix of herbs and lettuce in the bottom, bouncy but not rubbery rice noodles and my favorite grilled pork in town. I order the Com Thit Nuong in winter with the grilled pork over hot rice (or broken rice for those who want to know). The pork comes with or without the bone, very well seasoned with palm sugar, lemongrass, fish sauce and ginger. Other good options are chicken salad, a generous slaw like mixture with nuoc mam, and Bun Bo Hue, soup which is much spicier than pho. The condiments usually excel with crispy shallots and fresh roasted peanuts. I can never leave without a cafe sua- sweetened with condensed milk. I wish it were open later.... read more

I hate to do this, but I have to change this to one star. The last two times we've gotten food here it's been awful. The tofu tasted like rancid fryer oil and was inedible. We have come here for years and it has gone down hill. Not clean like it use to be. I wanted Pho and instead of getting my usual tofu I chose chicken. Big chicken chunks? NO. Sliced lunch meat. Vegetables they brought looked old and I refused to use. Also got a chicken salad rice bowl that was OK but there was hardly any vegetables. Only lettuce and carrots. Pretty darn good banh mi! The deli across the street was closed on a Sunday and I was craving one of their delicious Vietnamese sandwiches badly. Saw this place across the street and saw on Yelp they also made sandwiches. Definitely a mom and pop place but warm and welcoming as I walked in. My boyfriend and his little brother decided to take me to their old stomping grounds for lunch, and I am so glad they did! When trying a new pho restaurant, I always have to taste the broth before putting anything in it. Let me tell you, this broth was so flavorful! I didn't even want to add anything to it. I ordered the #7 (steak, brisket, and meatballs). It was a good portion, with even meat to noodle to soup ratio. The prices were average. Probably the same as the Pho Tai down the street. I've been going to this place for a while. It's in my top 5 in the Seattle area. One of the few places I know that if I have a craving the food is worth the drive.
