    Chicken Congee

The food was very delicious. I had a chicken porridge (congee) with Chinese donut. It was so good. The service was great and very friendly. A Cambodian restaurant serving delicious Khmer foods. They also do catering dished, but not sure about delivery. I will definitely be back.

Me and a buddy stopped by for lunch today at a Cambodian restaurant and ordered the Phnom Penh Noodle Soup. This is known as "Hu Tieu Nam Vang" in Vietnamese. It's a Cambodian restaurant that I've been wanting to try for awhile. The broth was actually very flavorful. I was surprise how good it was. It had hints of garlic and just enough depth without being overpowering which I liked. They didn't skimp on the toppings either I got just enough to fee satisfied. The bread (also known as Chinese donuts) was crispy, it was on point the breading was great! They have this one condiment crushed chili sauce. It's not spicy, but it's pretty good.! The noodles in the soup had good texture, it dint feel mushy at all, which I appreciated. Service was fast, from the time we were seated to the time the food came out. If you're craving authentic Cambodian-style, with a hint of Vietnamese and blend of Chinese, I'd recommend come to check it out! The menu has a lot of options beyond just noodle soup, so I'll have to come back to try out some of the other dishes.

Another business travel meal & it was not a miss. Had a chance to drop by New Apsara Palace & the food was great. The service was good & the employees were very friendly. Can't go wrong if you order their kathiew phnom penh. Reminded me of my mom's recipe when she was a chef in the restaurant.

Had lunch here today and ordered a few items. The food was really fresh, authentic and great tasting. The garlic shrimp was one of the best shrimp dishes I've had. My friend, who is from Cambodia, said it reminded her of home. This is a great family owned restaurant the service was also excellent.

If you're looking for a Cambodian spot, this is a place worth to try. I got the Phnom Penh noodles which is full of flavor and depth. Very reminiscent of eating noodles in Cambodia. Goes great with the Chinese donut. They don't hold back on the meat portions! Service was nice and quick. There's plenty of street parking.

Came in around 1pm on a Friday. There was only 1 other table dining in. I was greeted immediately by a friendly face. They served this fragrant jasmine tea imported directly from Cambodia. I've never tasted anything like this before, it had a fruit undertone. I found out they're under new ownership but kept some of the old menu dishes. I was very excited to see they still had the fried lort noodles! I had to order that to-go for later! I decided to try something new while I was there so, I went with the Mi katang fried wide noodles with seafood. The dish came out within 10 minutes. It did not disappoint! It was flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly; noodles were separately piece-by-piece & not super greasy nor mushy. The lort noodles were exactly the same as I remembered from the prior ownership, tasty! Overall food and experience: 5 stars! Definitely coming back soon to try their other dishes on the menu. I can't wait!

It was my first time here and I was craving for some Phnom Penh Noodles soup. I wasn't disappointed. The price tag seems hefty but it's a large serving with lots of protein including liver and intestines, yum! Well worth it. I also had the beef sticks and the flavor was well balanced (not too sweet, salty or bland etc ) and most importantly it was juicy. I wanted the sugarcane drink but it was sold out. The coconut coffee is their most popular drink so I got that and I liked it. I would come back to try other dishes. This is a newly re-opened small mom & pop business. I read and also heard that the owner makes all the food herself. The front operations are ran by younger members of the family. They're very nice and hardworking so please have some patience. I'm happy for another traditional Cambodian restaurant in Seattle.

Finally got to try the coconut coffee at New Apsara, their most popular and highly rated drink. It's delicious! The coconut flavor is subtle, more like a creamy touch, while the coffee itself is bold and strong. Not too sweet, just the right balance. Their coffee is sourced from Phnom Penh, making it unique compared to other spots. Definitely worth the price!

We're excited that there's Khmer restaurant for us to try. We ordered coffee, the Phnom Penh noodles, Khmer noodles, beef sticks, stir fry lot cha, and Khmer banh mi. They're all delicious. My brother and son really enjoy the katiew. Would highly recommend.

I came here one time and it was closed so I was excited to find out the restaurant reopened because I heard good things about it. I tried their chicken curry noodles because I had a craving for it. The soup is really good but I wish the chicken had more meat and less bones. They give you a lot of noodles too which is great! I also got a Thai iced tea and it was on point! My boyfriend got the kathiew and it was okay, not the best, and it took long to come out. My boyfriend is Cambodian and he wishes there were more traditional dishes on the menu. All in all I give this place 4 stars. They could improve.

    Num Banchok Khmer

Took my parents out for break at New Apsara Palace and they loved it. The store is clean and neat. Give the warm vibe. Nom banchok Khmer was 10 out of 10. So was the beef sticks. It was so good ,I forgot to take a picture. There was a lot of meat in the phnom penh noodle soup. The coconut coffee was good. Except too much ice. Rather have the cup smaller with same portions. The store owner was friendly and efficient. First time ever that a Khmer owner would come out and asked the customers for improvements. That was a plus. Keep up the good work. I've been waiting to taste the authentic Khmer food in Seattle and it's happening!!! We don't have to fly all the way to Long Beach (CA) for Khmer food.

This place was a home run for a cozy dinner. The staff were all super nice and the food was brought to our table promptly. Definitely would recommend going with a group so you can try one of everything on the menu. We got 5 different dishes and they were all my favorite! Both broths we had were packed with flavor and so delicious. The beef skewers were juicy and the crispy garlic shrimp were to die for. Last but far from least--the beef noodle dish we got. I will be thinking about these noodles for weeks. And will probably have to come back soon because I know I'll be craving them. If you're thinking of stopping here, do not hesitate. You won't regret it.

So when I woke up still craving shellfish, RockCreek was the call. It was the right one. A dozen oysters to start: Kumamoto and Shigoku. Clean -- no grit, no sand. Whatever they're doing back there, it's working. The brine was full and present in every shell, and the mignonette hit that rare sweet spot of light but actually seasoned. The Winter Old Fashioned? Get it. It was so delicious. Then came the crab Benedict. The side salad alone was worth writing home about -- big, buttery, peppery leaves draped in one of those feather-light vinaigrettes that sounds simple until you try to replicate it at home and realize you can't. But the real star of the entire plate was the potatoes. Crispy outside, genuinely fluffy inside, seasoned with conviction. A masterpiece is not too strong a word. Closed with a glass of pink wine. Was eyeing the bottle with the piglet on the label, but it was bottle-only -- a distinction I find increasingly arbitrary as a former server and bartender. One day that policy will be a relic. Not yet, apparently. Best brunch I've had in Seattle in two years. Highly recommend.

We ordered some of our go-tos -- hamachi crudo, tuna tartare, and calamari -- and everything was spot on. The vinegar dill fries are exceptional: thin, super crispy, and loaded with seasoning (honestly hard to stop eating). We also tried the loaded fish sandwich and the cornmeal-battered lingcod -- both solid choices. Spicy margarita lived up to its name with a nice kick. It was pretty dead when we arrived around 5pm, with only one other larger table seated, which made for a relaxed, easygoing happy hour. Always a dependable spot when you're craving seafood done right.

The sides were also very good and well stocked. I was able to save some room for dessert. The crème brûlée, apple almond pie, coconut puffs were outstanding! Our server was Joseph and he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My entire family really liked Joseph and would go back to Salty's just to have him as our server. The entire experience was great. The buffet price at the time of our visit was $95 for adults and substantially less for children. This was my second visit to the Salty's Sunday brunch and it was worth every penny. Thanks again Joseph!

When we arrived, just after they opened, we were the third party in the restaurant. The atrium was really cute. It had a glass chandelier, great decor, and a view of Alki Beach. Our waiter brought us some water and we both decided to order the quiche (daily special was spinach, mushroom and goat cheese) along with a cup of clam chowder. Being that the restaurant was kind of empty, it took a while for our food to arrive. Unfortunately, the chowder was tepid at best and quiche was ice cold. I flagged the waiter down and as he took away our plates, he made a comment about the oven not being set correctly, which I thought was a bit odd. To me, it seemed as if our food may have been waiting a while to get picked up. Nevertheless, our food returned shortly thereafter piping hot. The chowder was delicious, definitely one of the tastiest I've had in Seattle. I found the quiche to be lacking in flavor and then noticed that there were no salt or pepper shakers on any of the tables, which I also thought was a bit odd. After we had finished eating, the waiter asked my friend if she wanted a box for her quiche. When he returned with the box, he did not clear our dishes or ask if we were ready for our check. I had to flag him down to ask for it. I noticed they added a $3 service fee to the bill, not quite sure what that was about, as the food was already a bit pricier than other restaurants in the area and there were issues with our food. I guess it's for the beach view? Overall, this was a decent meal, but I just don't get what all the hype is about.
