After completing a sunset hike, my friends and I decided to grab a meal at Alki Pho & Bar since it's close to where one of my friends live. It was surprisingly busy at Alki for parking. We luckily found parking less than a block away from the restaurant. Our group of four was seated right away. It wasn't busy inside given we arrive around 8PM. There were two other groups inside. The restaurant closes at 9PM. I ordered a small Combination Pho and we shared the Sweet Potato Fries. The fries were very HOT. They were freshly made and delicious. The pho was a great meal to have after hiking in the dark!

Yellow curry (I got veggies instead of potatoes) was great but needed heat and pepper.

Decided to try this spot randomly alone. The male server who helped me seemed pretty confidant and was in tu e with my needs for hot sauce and water refills so kudos to him. He also let me modify my meal a little bit to my liking. The yellow curry was good, but lacking it flavor. I had to doctor it up quite a bit. I was happy with the veggies though. My only complaint really is they had the same kinda sad song on for like the whole 45 minutes I was here. Honestly I'm right between 3 and 4 stars. They do carry my favorite tequila so that's nice, though I wasn't drinking. I really liked the ambiance with the door open and outside seating area on this beautiful sunny day.

Came here on a Sunday around 12:00pm. Got seated quick. Balcony to see view and inside seating. Got the brisket pho. Plenty of noodles and it came out hot. Taste wise was good. Meat was thin however a lot of fatty pieces more than just the meat. Got the mango juice tasted like dole juice not freshly squeezed. Overall, for price to taste it was good for a one time try.

I've eaten pho from Alki pho since it opened but always as a takeout. We finally dined there and it didn't disappoint. The food was great as always, the oxtail pho is my favorite. Service from start to finish was so friendly and accommodating. We also ordered the beef short ribs. So delicious. We look forward to dining here again soon.

Food is always delicious and always comes out quickly! The service is always great as well. I will say their peanut sauce isn't super peanut-y but that's all preference!

Delicious food, decent prices, lots of food for your buck. Service was fast and no wait time to be seated. Loved the beach view. We'll be back!

Delicious & authentic Vietnamese food right on the beach! This place is super popular not only for their food but their bar! Who doesn't want to enjoy a refreshing beverage with a beautiful beach view! My brother and dad love this place for vermicelli bowls and Bahn mi. I decided to get what my dad always get which is the sautéed beef. The sandwich was pretty big and the beef was so tender! I love that it comes with crispy waffle fries and an aioli for dipping! I did also try their chicken vermicelli bowl and it was so refreshing! A generous amount of veggies, noodles and chicken. My brother's go to is the combination bowl. It has a little bit of everything! Beef, spring roll, and prawns! Their menu is super extensive and there's something for everyone. Rice dishes, fried rice, pho, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and even a kids menu! Their drinks menu include specialty cocktails, beer, wine, iced teas, juice, and soda. We got takeout at around 7pm and my brother & his gf said it was already packed! Definitely a new go to spot when visiting my brother!

I have been here several times with my friends. The food has been very delicious! However, tonight's experience was not all that wonderful. We came in around 8:30pm, when they told us the last call would be 8:40pm as the kitchen was closing and they close at 9pm. They didn't have a bartender today so I could not order cocktails, and I only ordered wine. We decided our drinks and food and ordered by 8:40pm. We enjoyed our food and realized we would not be able to finish our food in time so we asked for boxes. Then, they were so eager to close down the restaurant that they took away the sauces and packed our food into our boxes right at our table when we were still eating. I understand after covid, restaurants all seem to want to close early. But this was our first time experiencing being rushed out of the restaurant which we did not appreciate. Overall, the food was still great, but we don't think we would come back due to the rushy atmosphere.

Vietnamese/Thai place right across Alki . Though it's called phõ &bar, the menu has rural number of Thai and Vietnamese options. There weren't much crowd at this place on a Sunny Seattle afternoon.Honestly this is the only place where we could find a spot. The service here is particularly slow. It took them more than 30 minutes to get 3 entrees. No one came in to check on us after the food has been served. The fried rice was super bland and we realized that our waiter hasn't enquired with us on the spice level. The vegetable phõ was decent and the rest of the items were ok.

    Is this place kid friendly?

I have seen kids in here but since it's a bar I would be cognizant of when you plan on taking your kid. Also as a more adult setting maybe consider the age of your kid as well.

Does this restaurant have vegan options, specifically a hearty vegan phó?

Yes we do have vegan options and vegan pho :)

    Is this restaurant dog friendly?

It is, our friend had their dog with us.

My girlfriend and I stopped in before a flight, which in hindsight was a mistake. We ordered around 12:30 PM (niku beef udon, garlic pork udon, and chicken karaage), and it took nearly an hour to receive everything. The karaage came out first after about 40 minutes, then one udon about 10 minutes later, and the final dish close to an hour after ordering. Because of this, we weren't able to eat together unless one of us let our food go cold. On top of that, the restaurant itself was uncomfortably cold, which made the long wait feel even worse. It also seemed like many other tables were experiencing similar issues--orders coming out at different times or missing entirely, with customers having to repeatedly follow up. What stood out most was the lack of communication. There was no acknowledgment of the delays, no check-ins, and no apology--not when the food was dropped off, and not even when we left. Given that we had to pay upfront and the price point was $20+ per bowl, it made the experience feel even more disappointing. While the portions were decent and the noodles seemed handmade, the food itself didn't feel particularly special to justify the wait or cost. I truly hope this feedback is helpful. With better timing, communication, and overall service, I think the experience could be much better.

Luckily I was able to snag reservations, but you do sit pretty close to the tables around you. We didn't mind since we had a corner table. To share, we ordered the chicken curry nasi lemak, sayap ayam pedas, and kaya toast. All three dishes were phenomenal, each with its own distinct flavor. The sayap ayam pedas was a huge portion for just 2 people, but we couldn't stop eating. The combination of soy sauce and fish sauce was not overpowering at all and the chicken itself was so juicy. The chicken curry in the nasi lemak was delicious with the coconut rice. Along with the anchovies, egg, peanuts, and sambal, it was a choose-your-own-adventure kind of bite. The kaya toast was the perfectly sweet dish to balance out all the flavors. I especially loved dipping it in the poached egg for a satisfyingly runny bite. I left feeling so full, but so motivated to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend!

I personally like the nasi lemak, but just be careful not to add all of the chilis they provide you, as that can really overwhelm the flavor of the dish. The nasi biryani is good -- the beef rendang is wonderfully flavorful but not the most tender rendang I've had. Portions are satisfying, thankfully, since all the entrees are about $20 and up. This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.
