Alright guys hear me out. After living in West Seattle for practically 6 years. I finally tried this place. I was hesitant at first due to letting how nice the place looked impacting my judgement thinking it probably won't be as good as the ambiance. I was dead wrong. The pho broth was spicy in terms of that star anise and cinnamon being a bit more prominent. The texture of the meats. Good mouth feels and all very distinct. I say their bo vien was the best in texture in comparison to the handful of places I tried in the greater Seattle area. Trust me I get around. I use to drive out of the way to get decent pho, but now I know if I need to scratch that itch. This place is around. My only gripe, is that I wish I had just a touch more noodles with the large serving. I definitely will come back to try their other offerings like their bun thit nuong and rice plates. read more

Was recommended to come try the pho here from someone who's Vietnamese (high marks, trustable source). Street parking and parking in the neighborhood, right on Alki across from the water. Visited on a wet and chilly day and it was pretty busy, but they have lots of seating inside! Pho dac biet (combo pho): really tasty broth that is well seasoned and good amount of spices (can really taste the cinnamon and star anise but not too strong), all the meat was cooked well where none of the beef was chewy and the tendon was soft. The pho broth at Alki Pho is probably the best, most authentic broth without being overly sweetened or heavily spiced, that I've had in the PNW. It's perfectly balanced with a complex richness and depth that still feels light and comforting. I don't get that, "I need to chug 3 gallons of water stat" feeling after having this pho which is how a lot of the SEA food out here makes me feel. The carefully braised meats (and chewy tendon) are really nicely made as well. Not gamey at all! This is definitely my go-to for pho takeout in all of Seattle. Trust me on this... not only does this kinda broth run through the veins of my ancestors but I'm from SoCal so I know real, good, authentic SEA food. The pork eggrolls are also super YOMMM. The wings are just ok... but I'd skip the fried tofu at all cost! They were seeping with oil and the fried batter was weirdly super gummy/chewy while also lacking any hint of flavor or seasoning. This place is straight up legit!!! I am going on a limb and say this is the best oxtail pho I have ever had . The broth is so flavorful on its on. It doesn't need the hoisin sauce or sriracha. Some of the best fried chicken wings as well. Lightly battered, crunchy in the outside and juicy inside. Such a warm and welcoming staff. Great atmosphere for mostly any celebration. A great place to eat if visiting Alki beach. There's tons of seating with both outside and inside options. There's place looks nice, with dimmer lighting and tasteful decorations. They offer typical Vietnamese food options. I got their Banh Mi sandwich and chose pork for the meat. It was very tasteful and was nice and juicy. Here the sandwich come with fries which were very crispy which is great. The service was quick and helpful. And we never had to wait too long for anything. Overall a solid spot. read more

They were not busy at the time. Sadly, my Vietnamese Coffee was on the bitter side and I only took a few sips. The disadvantage of an open air restaurant: flies landing on food and drink cups. We were riding our E-bikes along Alki Beach when we spotted this restaurant and decided to stop in. My wife wanted a Bahnmi sandwich but she had also been craving pho, so it seemed like the perfect place to check out and maybe add to our list of go-to spots when we're in town. The decor was clean and comfortable--nothing flashy, just a nice, welcoming setup. It's not a huge place, but there's a fair amount of seating, especially when you include the bar area. The overall vibe is kind of a mix between a sports bar and an Asian restaurant, with TVs in the bar showing different games, which is great if you like to catch some sports while you eat. They also have a full bar, so you can enjoy a drink with your meal or just relax with a cocktail while watching a game. My wife ordered the combo pho, and I went with the chicken and shrimp vermicelli bowl. The service was excellent--Jenni and the rest of the staff were friendly and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that the vermicelli bowl came with just two shrimp on a skewer. To get more, I had to order the shrimp skewers separately, which came with four skewers and two shrimp on each. That part could've been better, but the food itself was delicious--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. I also liked how close it was to our Airbnb, which made it a super convenient stop after a long day. We love this spot! The staff is super friendly, and they even let us bring our dog--both on the patio and technically inside the restaurant on a nice day when the doors were wide open. The food is fresh and delicious, though definitely on the expensive side. It's a bit overpriced for Vietnamese cuisine, which is typically more affordable, but given the prime Alki location in West Seattle, the higher prices make some sense. There's also a nice view of the water, which adds to the experience. We've been here several times and always enjoy it--just be prepared to pay around $15+ for a banh mi and $20+ for pho. He also let me modify my meal a little bit to my liking. The yellow curry was good, but lacking it flavor. I had to doctor it up quite a bit. I was happy with the veggies though. Came here on a Sunday around 12:00pm. Got seated quick. Balcony to see view and inside seating. Got the brisket pho. Plenty of noodles and it came out hot. Taste wise was good. I've eaten pho from Alki pho since it opened but always as a takeout. We finally dined there and it didn't disappoint. The food was great as always, the oxtail pho is my favorite. Who doesn't want to enjoy a refreshing beverage with a beautiful beach view! My brother and dad love this place for vermicelli bowls and Bahn mi. I decided to get what my dad always get which is the sautéed beef. The sandwich was pretty big and the beef was so tender! I love that it comes with crispy waffle fries and an aioli for dipping! I have been here several times with my friends. The food has been very delicious! However, tonight's experience was not all that wonderful. We came in around 8:30pm, when they told us the last call would be 8:40pm as the kitchen was closing and they close at 9pm. They didn't have a bartender today so I could not order cocktails, and I only ordered wine. We decided our drinks and food and ordered by 8:40pm. We enjoyed our food and realized we would not be able to finish our food in time so we asked for boxes. Then, they were so eager to close down the restaurant that they took away the sauces and packed our food into our boxes right at our table when we were still eating. I understand after covid, restaurants all seem to want to close early. But this was our first time experiencing being rushed out of the restaurant which we did not appreciate. A Vietnamese restaurant on the beach, with a view?! Unheard of. So we decided to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the Vermicelli Combination Bowl, which came with grilled chicken, prawns, pork and egg roll. It's probably one of the best I've had in Seattle. Highly recommend! The oxtail Pho was nothing special, broth was bland, and came with only a few not-too-tender oxtail pieces. Service was good. Price is high, but that's expected.
