I just went in and ordered chicken vermicelli. I was give food that's cold and was sitting out. Not happy.

Stumbled upon this tasty restaurant while running errands in Georgetown. My mom enjoyed the #25 char broiled pork & prawns vermicelli bowl and I had the #8 pho with beef round steak and brisket. The char broiled pork was sausage consistency and not actual grilled pork that I'm accustomed to, was quite savory and a nice surprise. I thought the $21.99 price was a bit steep for a vermicelli bowl, but as I've noticed going out to eat is more expensive these days. I thought the pho was delicious and broth flavorful - it arrived piping hot with all its toppings. The staff were attentive especially during the lunch rush. There was a mishap where we did not get our Salad rolls, which the staff were very apologetic about. In the end it wasn't needed, as we had plenty of food in front of us. While this visit was not planned, I was pleasantly surprised to find a spot that serves delicious Vietnamese food. When in Georgetown again, I would definitely come back. read more

I just want to let everyone know that this is the best broth you will find this side the Mississippi... I'm nearly addicted to this place and I order the same thing every single time lol. Noodles are always a bouncy consistency with a slight chew to it. The chicken I will say, sometimes I've had it dry but other times it's super juicy! Besides that, the broth and everything else is consistently the same flavor. The first bite always brings me down to earth. You WILL NOT regret trying this place out. My grandson had to go potty when you gotta go you gotta go at that age. We came in sent him back and were practically assaulted as he went to use the bathroom my husband handed them 10 dollars to let him use the bathroom they send no you must buy something so he bought a soda and said keep the change .I went in to use the bathroom also and was also yelled at while they followed me to and from the restroom. Yelling at me the whole 2 minute interaction did we pay were we paying customers as they insisted. For years My friend and I used to go on food adventures several times a week. We would take public transit to little out of the way ethnic restaurants for lunch. Unfortunately lately we haven't been able to keep that up. However we did manage to get together for lunch this week at Pho Hiho. It's located in a kind of strip mall at the end of the Michigan St I-5 off-ramp and Corson. Although we got a table right away, the place was pretty full. I wouldn't say that the small restaurant has any ambience but it is comfortable and welcoming. Our waitress was a sweetheart. Great service and very friendly. We both ordered the seafood noodles dish, #45. $24.99. We could hear the roaring sound of stir fry over a high powered flame on the stove in the nearby kitchen. This way of cooking adds a bit of smoky flavor to food. The portions are large. Generous amounts of Shrimp, mussels, scallops and squid plus broccoli, carrots and basil sprigs. A ton of food, a lot to eat for lunch! I lived in China for 8 years and have eaten a lot of 海鲜炒面, seafood fried noodles in my life. It's one of my favorite dishes, especially Singapore style. The dish we had at Pho Hiho was very similar but slightly different. The Chinese version has more white pepper and that makes a big difference. I prefer the Chinese style but I highly recommend you try the food at this restaurant, especially at lunch. I would gladly return to this place for another meal. read more

After being at the Radio Studios for 3 hours and on a cold crisp day, a Bowl of Pho sounded so good. I did a search on Yelp and saw this place. Looked new and was near where my next meeting was going to be. I noticed they serve Thai food too? I didn't try that. The Pho was excellent and the broth was flavorful and had all the right spice flavors and smell. The brisket was good and the tendon was perfect. The egg rolls were huge and I took them home as I was filled with the soup and noodles. The food here is good and the Service is excellent. A rude woman came in and I witnessed the kindness the server had and I shared gratitude to how they were so gracious. That helps me to know they are putting love in their food and I can taste it. We called in for take out and the food was ready in ten minutes as promised. The pho was pretty decent for the amount of meat and food you got. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the soup was not too sweet just how I liked it. The egg rolls was where we were astounded to find just three egg rolls with veggies stuffing only for over $9. It did not come with anything else. This is the second time my wife and I come to this place. I ordered pad thai and she ordered the beef pho. Fantastic food! I can't begin to describe how good the food is here, but I'll try. The pad thai was well made. It had this sweet and sour taste. It was so good I didn't even consider adding soy sauce or any other kind of sauce. They serve the food in these fancy plates and bowls, and someone is always coming by in case you don't have any more water. The veggies they serve are always set apart and elegantly presented. There are many different kinds of tables to sit in. Booths, tables, there's even a nice little area to sit if you come by yourself. This is a great place for Vietnamese food, even if you don't like Pho (spoiler: I prefer rice and noodle dishes to Pho, so my review is based on that). Having said that, their vermicelli noodles are amazing. Healthy, very tasty and with just the right amount of veggies. I got mine with chicken and I can tell you it was loaded with chicken. That makes it a great value, even at $13. The lemongrass chicken is amazing. I prefer the grilled version they offer, but you can get it stir fried as well. The fish sauce has a lime slice in it, which is a great visual experience. It also helps my food from sinking to the bottom when I do it in the sauce! And to go comes with a side of fresh sprouts, Thai basil and jalapeño slices. There is also hoisin sauce, Sriracha and chili oil included. The veggie fried spring rolls are crunchy and hot and packed with flavor. It was about worth it. As I got to go, I can't comment on the service other than the server was nice and attentive. I ordered the Chinese pot stickers, the pho w/beef round steak, and Vietnamese iced coffee. I thought the pot stickers were pretty good but the dipping sauce was way to salty. The broth had a funky taste that left a weird after taste in my mouth. After trying to doctor-up the broth, I still couldn't hide that funky taste of the broth and I ended up only eating half of the pho. Service was okay. I got my pho before my pot stickers, and I had to ask for my iced coffee. I I think their portion sizes are off. Looking for good Pho in south Seattle, bingo! This place isn't very large, but the service is fast and the food is wonderful. Most pho places only serve the broth based soup. However Hiho also serves Bun, which is basically the soup without the broth and more vegetables. #30 is a my favorite, their chicken tastes like it was just cooked with a great char broiled flavor. The included fried egg roll is probably the best egg roll I've ever had, so good! Again very fresh as you can't eat it right away due to the temperature. I was ordering food from this place on a regular basis that's once or twice a week despite them being more expensive than most places. Last night I ordered and they gave me one half of the meat that I normally get with my order. I called to complain they told me to come back I told him that I could not and that I would prefer a credit on my meal the person that answered the phone actually accuse me of lying to them. Glad I tried this place, will be returning whenever I'm in the area. Clean interior and busy but attentive staff. Rich flavorful pho broth with generous high quality cuts of beef hit the spot! Garnishes were bright and fresh and included nice sprigs of cilantro, in addition to the usual basil. Condiments were served on a clean tray and the hot oil was a step up from every other place in town. Here the chili flakes are nicely mixed in with the oil instead of at the bottom in a solid clump. Only complaint maybe was fountain drinks are $4 but whatever, they weren't stingy with the refills--very important when you're hungover. The Pho Kings found themselves south of downtown this week allowing them to partake of another new pho place called Pho Hiho. We had heard good things about this place so we decided to put them to the test for our lunch. We were not disappointed. Pho Hiho is located in a strip mall south of downtown Seattle. It's a very small place with a kitchen on one side and some tables along the other. There only seemed to be one area where a larger group could have lunch, we had six with us for this day. The place was busy with both the people at the twelve or so tables plus a constant stream of folks coming in to pick up to go orders. Service was a bit slow throughout our entire meal. From being slow to give us menus to the odd sight of having them bring us one bowl or plate of food at a time, the entire process from beginning to bill was slow. It's lucky for them then that while service may have been slow the pho was absolutely delicious and perhaps some of the best that I've had in Seattle which I found a bit surprising because my first impressions were not nearly as favorable. After the slow service when we finally got our plates of condiments was I happy to see a unique addition of cilantro but the basil was a bit wilted with black spots and the sprouts looked a bit sad though plentiful. I ordered the combination pho, which in other places is usually just a combination of meat but in Pho Hiho it also has tripe and tendon. The broth was beefy without being greasy and had a unique, almost minty smell. This could perhaps be attributed to the tripe and tendon as I've never had them before. The broth was also very hot as it should be at any pho shop worth going to. I loaded my bowl up and then dug in, winnowing our pieces of chewy tripe and melt in your mouth tendon. The meat was plentiful and tasty adding a great texture to my bowl of soup. Soon we reached the end of our bowls, very satisfied and happy with what we'd had. I'm not certain how often I'll be back down in south Seattle, but given the chance I'll certainly try to go back to Pho Hiho again.
