The broth was flavorful and so very delicious. However, I thought the noodles were slightly over cooked and could be bouncier - I've had slightly better noodles (only!) at pho thy thy or pho shizzle at UW. The broth definitely beats out a lot of their competitors, but I wish the noodles were just a little better. Portion wise, There were a lot of noodles, but not a lot of meat. I had the steak and tendon, and I think I counted like 3-4 small pieces of tendon overall. For a bowl of pho that's about $12, not sure if it's actually super worth it. This is also not a huge deal to me (but could be for others), but I'm not sure how often the utensils and sauces are cleaned/washed. The little sauce plates were all pretty sticky, and the area where you grab the chopsticks and spoons were dusty. I don't think the sriracha bottles or chilli sauces have been wiped down in a while either. Not taking a point off for it, but just an FYI if that matters to you. read more

My friend and I looked this restaurant up in a hurry as our usual spot was closed for renovation. The restaurant is in downtown White Center, so expect to park your car on the street and to walk to the place. When we were there, there were one waitress and one cook. The wait for ordering took more than 10 minutes, and we grew impatient. However, we continued to wait as we saw that there was a big group of 8 people before us, which took a lot of the waitress' time anyway. The food, surprisingly, showed up quite fast. My friend ordered vegan beef soup and spring rolls, and I got the grilled pork salad noodle. The food portions were good, and the taste is OK. I would come back only if I am in the area. read more

The best pho joint in White Center! Their banh mi sandwiches always have fresh bread - you could tell it's fresh because its not hard and crunchy to where your jaw hurts from chewing, LOL. Aside from having a traditional pho tai, their veggie pho and seafood pho are flavorful and they give more veggies than other places. The broth is suppppper good. The food here isn't great. One being is that the food wasn't that well seasoned and there isn't specific flavor inside. Example as Calamari tasted odd. It tastes not salty, not too spicy or even sweet. It has no flavor. The service there was all Vietnamese. WC Pho is like visiting my families restaurant... if I were Vietnamese. I have been to pretty much every Pho place in a 15 mile radius and being near White Center that is really saying something. For pho pro's, you should know their broth is rich and always consistent and the are generous with the sides plate. For a newbie pho-er eat here, that's it, just trust me. They have forks if you need them and don't be intimated this the place you'll crave when you think of pho. No joke I eat here a few times a week. This is Pho served by a family who cares about every facet of the meal. The plate of bean sprouts, basil, lime, and jalapeño is always fresh. The pho arrives minutes after ordering and is perfectly balanced no matter what variety. Every other dish is equally delicious and served with the same pleasant timeliness. Not only is the food delicious it is inexpensive. A meal for two including sides and drinks will not cost you more than 30 dollars. The decor is unpretentious and never strives to be. As Charles Munde said you can always trust an Asian restaurant that doesn't play Asian music on the radio. It's usually playing some nice indie rock which nicely sets the mood. I stopped liking pho a couple years back than one day my cousin brought me to Pho White Center and made me get the pho. I tried it and I loved it! They have the best pho broth I've ever tasted. The broth is cooked fresh everyday and the meat and noodle ratio is on point. Not only do they have good pho but there banh mi is probably the best in White Center. Their bread isn't all super hard like others I've tried and their meat is cooked very well. I brought a couple of sandwiches home today and my family loved it. They tried to save half of their sandwich for later but it was so good that they couldn't stop eating them. Mom and pop pho place in White Center. There are a number of Vietnamese places within a few blocks here, so the area is a bit saturated. The menu is pretty typical, nothing out of the ordinary. Menu consists of pho, noodle and rice dishes. The pho is really reasonably priced. Like $6 something for a large bowl which is very substantial. I don't believe anything was priced higher than $7.50 from what I saw making this place a good value. I was unaware of the Yelp reviews, but it sounds like the pho is the way to go. Given it was a sunny Saturday afternoon, I thought that may not be the best idea. Hot noodles make you sweat a lot! I decided to go with the #23 combo vermicelli noodles with BBQ pork, shredded pork and egg roll ($7.50). My thoughts are split on this dish. The noodles had the right consistency, it was not too chilly or warm. Nor was it full of liquid. I like the use of basil as it freshens up the dish quite a bit. Though the shredded pork was a disappointment. It was too fine. The BBQ pork was decent, though a little charred. Egg roll was nicely crisp. In regards to ambiance, there is none. Not much to look at either outside. It is all about the food here. The dish I had here was good, though could have been better. But given the pricing and portion, I would say Pho White Center is worth a try. read more

Those items should be free and plentiful. disqualifies them immediately , and I kept getting the impression that they didn't take me seriously, thought i was this white guy that didn't know what he was doing asking for more jalapeño. Since moving to West Seattle last Fall, it's been my mission to find my new favorite pho place to even remotely compare to Pho No. 1 in my old hometown of San Francisco. I've tried 10-12 different places between WS and Renton, and this one is the best so far. Menu is typical pho joint fare, with prices a little lower than average. I ordered a large pho ga (chicken), which is my benchmark pho dish. Part of how I judge how good a bowl of pho is, is whether I have to add a crazy amount of fish sauce or Sriracha to it for it to have any flavor. No such problems here! With chicken, I also look for it to not be overly dry, and it did well on that count too! I'll definitely be back to try their brisket pho. Place itself is your typical pho joint, nothing fancy. I've been to plenty of pho joints and have also had my fair share of delicious homemade pho. So after trying this place out I was dissatisfied for several reasons. I ordered the combination pho... For overall quality, it lacked the sensible broth that comes with a good pho broth. It wasn't as aromatic and tasty as other places. I usually try the soup before adding any condiments and I had to douse it afterwards to give it more flavor. The meat was SO sad... It was almost like you got AT LEAST a piece or TWO of each different meat. (Ie. One brisket, one meat ball cut in half..) I felt like I was hunting for my meat cos I kept searching my bowl for meat, underneath my noodles, entangled in my noodles.. It was so sad... The portions were way off, where at the end of my meal I was left with so much noodles.
