Pros: The service was very friendly and prompt, very courteous. The broth was delicious, very flavorful, and the pho had a lot of noodles and the decor looked really nice as well. Everyone practiced quarantine rules and the food came out very fast. There's also quite a lot of parking out front. Cons: The downside side is the price absolutely does not justify the portions you get; I collected all the meat before eating and the amount didn't even filled up the spoon. For a $14 bowl of pho, I'd expect to at least eat more than one mouthful of meat total instead of it just consisting of 90% noodles (the cheapest ingredient) and soup. Based on some of the Yelp reviews I'm not the only one who saw this issue. Overall: 2/5, the flavor of the food and the staff is great, but I would not recommend coming here a second time after how much they charge for basically just noodles and a bowl of broth when other pho places offer you a more affordable price along with more portions as well. I understand that it's during covid time so the prices for ingredients are high, but it definitely does not justify BOTH a small portion AS WELL as expensive prices. If you're gonna give out smaller portions of meat compared to before, then don't raise the price, the increased menu cost is supposed to supplement the rising ingredient prices already so there's no reason to cut back the portion. Looking at the Yelp pictures from 5 months ago, the portions were much more fair with more meat and the price was cheaper, I wouldn't have made this review if they at least kept the same amount of portions as before with the current high prices. I don't know if they changed recently or not but I doubt I'll come here again. There's better options out there if you're craving pho like pho orchid or pho bang. read more

This place was very delicious! All of our food was so good. The boba was also delicious. It is very clean inside and a very calm environment. We had great service, our waiter was very kind. We never had to ask for extra refills, they just came and gave us more. All of the employees were welcoming. We are definitely going back to get some more! I am now obsessed with their boba as well! The brisket was sweet and flavored the broth well. The bring ample "fixins" for the pho, including red cabbage - which I loved. I ordered the pho with soba noodles, which I didn't even know I could do anywhere else. Makes the meal an even heartier dish and the noodles soak up the broth so well. I likely won't get the tendon again as it's just fat and no real flavor. The rice dishes are brimming with too much food to eat in one setting, all at a pretty affordable price. The ambiance is clean and colorful, with well appointed decorations. I really enjoy the bar area with the plants and little statues. Probably the worst Pho I have ever eaten. I tried to order off the kids menu as I can only eat about half of a bowl of pho. They would not sell me a kids size. They would however sell me the broth, the noodles and the chicken separately which would cost more than a small bowl! I was told I could take the leftover soup to go. The soup was greasy and had very little flavor. I ordered hot tea, the teapot was so filthy with tea stains and the green tea was so weak! Just got home and my wife had a to-go order of pho sitting on the counter. Asked her where this was from and why it is sitting there next to a ice coffee. She says the pho has literally 2 pieces of chicken in it and the Vietnamese coffee has no condensed milk. Absolutely horrible! Again the meal was untouched when I saw it. The very thought of passing through Metairie now excites me, because of Pho Michael. It seems they take pride in their MSG-free style - as advertised on their menu. Before you start loading up on sriracha and hoisin, take a few swigs of that broth first -- you might find that you need very little additional seasoning. After 6 or so visits now, I've yet to try anything other than the Pho Tai (+ meatballs) and the egg rolls. However, everything from the kitchen looks solid. PRO TIP: If you like spice, and often find yourself heavily squirting srirachi into your Vietnamese dishes - ask for some CHILE SATE (sat-tay). Update - today we tried the michael buns (baco buns) and they were AMAZING!!! My new favorite menu item!!! Pho Michael has a great menu, lots of variety! No MSG at all. Wonderfully hospitable staff. We had ice coffee with condensed milk - delicious and LOTS of flavor. Shrimp spring rolls were perfection, so fresh, and the peanut sauce was also great! My husband had the beef vermicelli bowl - loved it, lots of veggies. Next time he wants to try it with an egg on top, at the recommendation of our server. I had the Pho Rau (veggie) and it was so colorful and the baby bok choy was so tender! When I added the lime and sriracha the flavors were awesome! Five stars. From the start of my order on the phone the woman was such a delight. She was not quick to rush me off the phone. She wanted to make sure all my needs were met and that she understood fully what I was trying to order. She even tweaked my order so that it made the most financial sense. I really thought that was thoughtful. Upon picking up the order it was an even better customer service experience. The veggie pho was superb. My husband loved it!! They have huge portions!! The food here was really good. New owners, new chefs, but the same server which is nice for continuity. They seemed to have upped their prices, which I feel is warranted - their pho tastes better than the last time I visited (which was before the owner /business change). The portion sizes are great too - the larger size is huuuge and the medium to still quite hefty. I like to take my broth home to go and use it as a base for other dishes. I wasn't a big fan of the fried tofu appetizer (it was quite literally deep fried tofu cubes with a light dipping sauce as opposed to Lilly's, which is fried in garlic, sauce,etc) but the mango boba was good. I kind of find it justifiable that their prices are higher - the interior is so much nicer than your average Vietnamese joint. I wouldn't mind shelling out a smidge more for date night or something like that. This place was great! My family and I were getting tired of the typical NOLA cuisine, which can be quite heavy. We wanted something soupy, and we knew pho would hit the spot. The decor and ambience of this restaurant was modern and clean. Our server got us seated immediately and was attentive to us throughout. The food came out in a timely fashion. We ordered the Banh Xeo, a Banh Mi, the combo Pho, and a Bun Bo Hue. The Banh Xeo was super crispy and the fish sauce it came with was delicious. The Banh Mi was similarly flavor packed. My parents both really enjoyed their pho, and I have to say that my Bun Bo Hur was probably one of the best bowls of Bun Bo Hue that I've ever had..and I've eaten quite a few bowls. I used to come here often, but recently they have really been cheaping out with the portion sizes. Prices are higher than before (and than what is listed on their online menu) and the sizes are smaller. I always get grilled pork vermicelli and last time it was just so tough and chewy and unsatisfying i didn't even finish it. And the lettuce they used was not fresh, usually they put romaine like a small salad almost and this time it was like they ran out of the usual lettuce and used what you'd feed a rabbit.
