Finally, yummy boba tea/slush! What's more there's plenty of options! It's only been a couple of days and I've already ordered about 5 different flavors. And none have been a let down Great service, friendly and clean environment. Totally recommend. If you do happen to order something you do not fancy. There's always another option for another day.

We don't see many Asians around the city so we are surprised to find a KFT here! Good job franchising! Strawberry lemonade green tea - one of the top 10. You can't control sugar level for this one. It turned out to be too sweet for me. Also there's not enough green tea taste. Yogurt grapefruit - yummy! Sour and refreshing, helps with digestion

their boba is so chewy and delicious and they always have your order ready early for you when you order online!!

Great place for all things BUBBLE TEA. I can honestly say, the menu is a tad bit overwhelming. I mean there are slushies, tea-based drinks, non-dairy drinks and the list goes on and on. Where's the cheat sheet? Then let's not even talk about the toppings (wide eyed stare). I can honestly say, "I wasn't ready..." Thankfully, the friendly cashier took the time to assist me with narrowing my selection; this was great because I didn't want to delayed other customers. My wait was very short & I was glad because I was ready to taste my concoction. I found the cup sizes to be drastically different, which is a good marketing scheme. $4.75 for 8oz or just a quarter more for a 12oz; .25¢ for four more ounces... Which do you choose? No worries, we all know the answer. But keep in mind, most drinks are filled with ice... So there goes your .4oz & 25¢ more. Also they charge for the tapioca... I guess this made the norm as it's my 2nd time encountering such. I also noticed, this seems like a hangout place; as I waited for my drink, I noticed some of people just chilling and watching movies etc on the iPad, as well as families dining/drinking in. This is a rare novelty to see, the families "dining/drinking in" as most folks are always 'on-the-go'. Shared parking lot with ample space. A few spots are dedicated to other businesses, but that's just a few. Most spaces are open for all to park. I will return to this location, after I've studied the menu that is.

They are OPEN FOR BUSINESS DURING QUARANTINE!! How thankful I am to see that Kung Fu Tea is open. Ots so odd that I start craving stuff I can't have during quarantine. Well guess what, I gotbit anyway! Nyah nyah! This was my first time here. I was looking for boba tea and my usual place (Saigon Bistro) was closed. So we googled boba tea and this joint popped up. Looked up the menu online. The menu can be confusing if youre not familiar with the assortment of beverages they have. It can take a min so read it over carefully. Teas come hot/cold/ slushy/ with or with out fruit, tapioca balls etc. We ordered mango slush with fruit and tapioca balls, coffee milk with green tea, taro slush with oreos, and oreo slush. Everything was as expected and very filling. Coffee milk with green tea had a strong earthy taste but a yummy after taste. Taro slush with Oreos was actually pretty good. How can you go wrong Oreos anyway. Larges cost around $5.25 and regulars cost around $4.25. So pricing is not too high. The store itself is open to take orders and you can call in. They have the floor marked off in order to practice social distancing. Service is fast and friendly. Will be back.

Ok, so I rely on my fellow elite tellers like Alvin and Kay to keep me up to date with why the hippest and coolest things are coming! And Kung Fu Tea is one of those things! I love that we finally have one here in New Orleans and bonus that it's open late! The space is inviting and has tons of board games and tables so you can hang out and not just grab your boba and run! Plus they have an app you can pay, get discounts etc. which makes getting in and out super fast! My favorite drink is the taro with the nata jelly! This is such a treat after a good workout or even as dessert after a yummy meal! Happy boba drinking!

Very personable staff!

Impressive! It's very hard to find great tea places in New Orleans metro area but Kung Fu Tea not only upholds their franchise's standards their staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Amazing establishment and I'm super grateful to have something that reminds me of Los Angeles nearby!

We were welcomed as we walked in. I wanted to try something new and they gave me a couple suggestions, I went with their WOW brown sugar series black tea. It was very tasty and not too sweet. Great service and staff.

I'm sooo glad we finally got a good boba place in Metarie. You just don't know but i normally have to drive to Terry Town to get good boba. I'm super thrilled. This place is in an area of mainly businesses. A little pass Severn but not too far! The place is clean and plenty of seating in this modern bar. The owner was super cool. We had soo many questions about everything! He was helpful and walked through all the items on the menu! On to the good stuff! I got the green tea red bean smoothie add tapioca! it was herby and matcha-y, if you catch my drift! anyways, I have had green tea red bean smoothie before in Korea and I really enjoyed this one as well. They cook the red bean and scooped it on top per my request. See my pic :-) I loved it and finished it all. I like the choice of having sweetness level adjusted. My boba was chewy and sweet. I don't like places that have too mushy or too hard boba. This place had excellent boba! I can't wait to come back. Prices is a bit higher than the Houston area but hey...we got boba now!

I have been looking for a decent boba place. I enjoyed my first visit at this place. The boba was made perfectly. I ordered a taro coconit drink with boba. Unfortunately the place does not mix drink flavors. However, I would come back because of how good they make it compared to other places in New Orleans. The boba place also has a cozy and cute indoor decor. It reminds me of boba places back west where Im from.

Ask the Community - Kung Fu Tea

Are the nondairy milk teas really nondairy?

You can order teas without milk! I usually order without and put in my own at the office.

They are conveniently located on Harrison Ave with parking right out front. Even though the teas are what drew me to this business, I have yet to try them because I am hooked on their shakes!! I have such a sweet tooth and these shakes are the perfect thing for me because I can get my sugar fix without feeling guilty about it! So far, I've tried the wedding cake, cinnamon toast crunch, cookies and cream, snickers, and funfetti! They are all delicious and well worth the $8.50. I sip on mine all morning which really curbs my appetite. They also have protein bites and bars. The staff here is so friendly - they always say "We hope you feel the love!" when handing me my shake and I look forward to this short but sweet interaction every morning. They also have a loyalty punch card that I am making excellent progress on :) Check out Lakeview Nutrition for all your meal replacement needs -- or if you're like me, a healthier sweet tooth option!

I was greeted when I walked in and told bits of info about the drinks. The place was clean and employees were friendly. What took me back was that the teas and shakes are made using HERBALIFE supplements/ mixes... The caffeine comes from different teas (black/oolong/ etc). I was initially super excited to try the teas until I heard this. I was given the impression that the drinks were a concoction of the stores own flavors/ recipes. While making the drinks, I could see pre packaged pouches with the powders being poured in the cup and mixed with water. They should've stated this on their business page bc it's a bit misleading. The taste of the was sub par and left a dry taste in my mouth. The effects of the tea pretty much felt and tasted like the standard pre workout to me. Compared the GLOW NUTRITION claims to my ALANI NU preworkout, the alani nu had better nutritional values at a lower price point. Alani also tastes a lot better than the loaded teas. The concept is cute but all in all, I most likely won't be back here.

I got to try their spicy avocado toast and a juice shot complimentary as a Yelp Elite Perk. The spicy avocado toast was really yummy! It had nutritional yeast sprinkled on it, which gave it a punch of deeper flavor along with the sriracha sauce. The juice shot wasn't my favorite, but it sure tasted healthy lol I also bought their strawberry colada smoothie ($10 for 24oz). It has almond milk, coconut water, frozen pineapple, frozen strawberries, and a touch of honey. It was good, but I could probably have used a bit more than a "touch" of honey since I have a sweet-tooth. Although, I guess that would defeat the purpose of trying to stay healthy lol They're a little bit pricy comparatively to some other places, so I took away one star, but I have no complaints about the store or their products in general! Everything seemed fresh and of good quality!
