Great Ambiance, nice Drink. Nice people. I pass this place every morning with no time to stop. I had time today!! I mean, I love Matcha so it was a must try. The look of the place is very welcoming and apparently I'm late to the party because the line was long. Only thing, there were only 2 workers so it moved a little on the slower side. Also, they get cool points for the cute little reading nook area. I ordered the white chocolate matcha with oat milk. The matcha itself is high quality. Idk. You can just tell. Nice and bright, beautiful green matcha. The flavor is great. My problem was, that's all I could taste was the might. Almost forgot there was chocolate in there because I couldn't taste it at all but I watched the barista put it in the cup and it wasn't very sweet. Still a great matcha by itself. I'd definitely go back because I was eyeing the lavender matcha. Besides the lack of chocolate flavor and the wait time this is a nice coffee shop and definitely worth visiting.

I asked if the matcha was sourced from Japan and I wasn't given a clear answer so I don't even know where they get it from. The matcha flavor itself was on the borderline of being bitter/earthy. When they asked about what milk to use I said just give me the what is normally included. I was then told that it typically comes with whole milk but they were out of it. So I was given other options and selected oat milk. But then I was charged extra for the oat milk even though they were out of whole milk I would've given a 2/5 rating but I do like the decor inside the store so I will bump it up to 3/5.

I love Evolve's matcha drinks and their creative seasonal coffees, like the pandan latte. They clearly know what they're doing and don't take themselves too seriously, which makes the menu fun. The space itself lacks a little character when it comes to the interior design and ambiance for being in New Orleans. It's more like mainstream trendy coffee shop style rather especially cozy or comforting. There are two outdoor tables. The inside is pretty large which is nice, not too crowded either. Their food case could also use some attention (things like the biscuits being displayed cold make them look almost like pretend food and an empty case can be a little off-putting visually.) That being said, the service and the quality of their espresso and matcha drinks make up for it. read more

i asked for a matcha without strawberry puree and the girl still that made it still gave it to me with the puree and said it was syrup. I've had this same matcha many times from this place, so I knkw what it tastes like with the puree and without. THIS RUINED MY WHOLE DAY. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND GOING TO CAFE LEVANT instead. Had to throw the whole matcha in the trash and plus wasted my money read more

A very cute spot, would make a good study spot, but for me the matcha just wasn't up to my standards. I got a matcha latte and was so excited, as I am a lover of a strong matcha. It was very milk forward and for me, barely any matcha taste. I did ask them if they could remake it, which they did, but it was exactly the same and not any better. Might be a personal preference, as I know others enjoyed it. If you want a very strong matcha, this might not be the place for you, but if you want a decent matcha that most people would enjoy, this is a good option. read more

I visited here for the first time this afternoon. There was parking on site which was convenient. The cafe was smaller than I expected but there were some seats inside. So we grabbed a table to enjoy our purchase. The staff were friendly. There weren't many sandwich options on the menu and the one chicken salad sandwich that I was going to order wasn't available. So I ordered the sausage egg and cheese biscuit sandwich. It's tasted fine. Nothing special. I ordered the hot matcha latte made with almond milk and I really enjoyed that. Really nice spot! The inside is laid back and modern. The cashier during the evening of 4/8/24 was so cool! She's so friendly and welcoming. The lavender matcha was smooth and fragrant! I was visiting my friend in NOLA recently and was looking for coffee shops to visit in the mornings. I saw how cute this place was online and had to come here. I always love it when a shop has lavender or rose flavored items so this spot definitely caught my eye while I was browsing. I absolutely do not like matcha but my wife really wanted to try out evolve coffee since it's right next to her place of work on West Esplanade. I went in fully expecting nothing, but was immediately greeted by Hannah (I believe that's her name?) My wife knew exactly what she wanted and I felt so bad because I felt like I was being "one of those customers", but Hannah recommended a few items to me, and was extremely patient and kind to me so it made me feel more at ease and more comfortable. I went with her recommendation. I immediately fell in love with the frozen white chocolate matcha, and I'm not a matcha fan? I couldn't believe it. Overall, my expected experience went from a 1 to a 5 because of the food and drinks but straight to a 10/10 because of the way we were treated and cared for by Hannah. I've already returned 2 additional times and Hannah took great care of us each time. I will always be looking forward to joining my wife for her lunch break every time! read more

Love this small coffee shop which can be easy to miss when driving past. I was craving something Matcha and found this location on yelp and decided to give it a try. The inside of the cafe is super nice with lots of places to sit and is quite large inside (looks small from the outside). Lots of awesome options for coffee. 1. Iced Matcha Latte: SOOOOO GOOD! Very strong, authentic matcha taste. It wasn't the cheap powdery stuff and had the deep more bitter matcha which I liked. Wow, Evolve is very aesthetically pleasing. I went on a Thursday morning right before 8am. As I was pulling in the parking lot, it was hard to tell if it was open. But it was! They open at 7am on weekdays. I walked in and was immediately greeted. The inside is very cute with accent walls and greenery hanging. I ordered an americano and a egg and cheese biscuit. The americano was top notch. I drink a lot of coffee and their coffee is good!! The egg and cheese was simple, but good. I will definitely be back for more Evolve coffee! read more

This place is an unassuming haven for a matcha enthusiast. I really enjoyed the array of options listed as well as fun summer drink offerings which I took advantage of. The London glow and rose matchas are true to form - noticeable but no overpowering/conflict of scents happening here. I really enjoyed my interaction with the barista, Key, who helped us settle on our choices based off our personal preferences. Look close on your left when you are driving to this place. It's almost at the end of the strip before the shell station. Nice little coffee shop. I had a cafe au lait and a blueberry muffin. Opted for their hot Evolution which is a matcha/espresso blend which was different than what I typically order. It wasn't overwhelmingly matcha & I enjoyed it. Majority of people there were studying so it appears to be a good place for that. read more

I love this place! This is a great study spot, if you're looking for somewhere with good ambiance. Customer service was great as well; people there are always nice. My favorite drink is the mango matcha latte; it is very refreshing with hints of both mango and matcha. Oh boy, where do I start with Evolve Coffee + Matcha? This place is so good, it's almost criminal. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to make matcha this tasty. But let's just keep that between us, okay? I came here to study, and let me tell you, this place is a godsend. The atmosphere is perfect for hitting the books, and the matcha drinks are so delicious, they make me forget about all the studying I'm supposed to be doing. I'm pretty sure I drank so much matcha, I can now see through time (the Lavender Matcha especially). The staff is also amazing, and they somehow manage to be super friendly and efficient at the same time. It's like they're secretly superheroes or something.
