Also, they get cool points for the cute little reading nook area. I ordered the white chocolate matcha with oat milk. The matcha itself is high quality. Idk. You can just tell. Nice and bright, beautiful green matcha. The flavor is great. My problem was, that's all I could taste was the might. Almost forgot there was chocolate in there because I couldn't taste it at all but I watched the barista put it in the cup and it wasn't very sweet. Still a great matcha by itself. Was excited to try this after seeing some good reviews but it was a let down for me. Tried the iced matcha latte and iced honey lavender latte and both were just mediocre. I asked if the matcha was sourced from Japan and I wasn't given a clear answer so I don't even know where they get it from. The matcha flavor itself was on the borderline of being bitter/earthy. When they asked about what milk to use I said just give me the what is normally included. I was then told that it typically comes with whole milk but they were out of it. So I was given other options and selected oat milk. But then I was charged extra for the oat milk even though they were out of whole milk I would've given a 2/5 rating but I do like the decor inside the store so I will bump it up to 3/5. read more

I visited here for the first time this afternoon. There was parking on site which was convenient. The cafe was smaller than I expected but there were some seats inside. So we grabbed a table to enjoy our purchase. The staff were friendly. There weren't many sandwich options on the menu and the one chicken salad sandwich that I was going to order wasn't available. So I ordered the sausage egg and cheese biscuit sandwich. It's tasted fine. Nothing special. I ordered the hot matcha latte made with almond milk and I really enjoyed that. I went in fully expecting nothing, but was immediately greeted by Hannah (I believe that's her name?) My wife knew exactly what she wanted and I felt so bad because I felt like I was being "one of those customers", but Hannah recommended a few items to me, and was extremely patient and kind to me so it made me feel more at ease and more comfortable. I went with her recommendation. I immediately fell in love with the frozen white chocolate matcha, and I'm not a matcha fan? I couldn't believe it. Overall, my expected experience went from a 1 to a 5 because of the food and drinks but straight to a 10/10 because of the way we were treated and cared for by Hannah. Matcha, the flavor itself, hits for some people and misses for others. Personally, it's a big win for me if done properly. The flavor can be at times far too subtle for me in some drinks and foods, causing me to feel like I'm tasting something bland as opposed to the vegetal bitterness I've come to enjoy from quality matcha. Thankfully, Evolve Coffee and Matcha in Metairie gets it right. Upon walking in, you're exposed to a modern, warm dining area, with classic tunes from the 2000s playing in the background. There's one area with a leather sofa and a coffee table in front of it, and another very unique space with a mini library surrounding a table and two chairs. While I do wish the space was a bit bigger, it was a comforting one. The matcha, as I said before, was great, albeit, not as warm as I had hoped, and the food options were pretty limited, being mostly an assortment of muffins and a couple sandwiches.
