This place is great! The ambiance gives Middle East vibes, but the drinks and desserts are amazing. I've been here had 4 different coffees, still like the date and cardamom best, but tried some of the other like the mufkawar which is similar and lavander matcha. Also had the mago cake which was a delicious explosion of mango puree and soft with crunchy crust. Then I also decorate really nice. Service is always superb, I think is one of my new favorite coffee shops. Excited to try some of their food sometime soon. read more

To borrow an aged internet trend, the perfect blueberry muffin doesn't exi- I've had more than I can count, but Levant's blueberry muffin is the best one I've had in years. It had the perfect amount of blueberries. The muffin was flavorful and had a beautiful crumble to it. It didn't taste gummy or glutinous. My drinks, much like the service, have been equally impressive. I've also enjoyed the chicken pesto panini. I appreciate how quiet the interior is for studying. Outside, there is a good amount of seating, but I found that my WiFi service suffered significantly. There were no outside sockets, which is rare, but deeply appreciated. Stopped in on a Tuesday midday and it was the perfect vibe for working! Good music at a comfortable volume, kind staff, and busy without feeling overcrowded. Plenty of seating options, many with outlets, and cozy chairs throughout. The Turkish coffee is fireee (honestly the main reason I came) and the potato bureka was tasty. Ive been here a couple of times. The service is top notch they are very nice and easy to talk to. Always willing to explain what's on the menu. Ice has their chocolate chip cookie and it is worth it. I have tried Cafe Levant several times since their opening, and it has always been a hit! I love supporting Palestinian businesses, and this cute cafe has everything when I need a little pick me up. I absolutely love their desserts, especially their pistachio cheesecake--I cannot recommend it enough. When I walked in I was greeted immediately by a really friendly woman behind the counter. The coffee shop is really cute and really spacious. It's a fantastic spot to get some work done, provided you are lucky enough to snag one of the coveted seats near a power outlet. I tried the blueberry matcha, but it was just okay for me. A bit too heavy on the milk. One notable downside to keep in mind is that they allow dogs inside the main dining area, which isn't ideal when you are trying to eat. I'm obsessed with this place. It might be my favorite coffee shop in Mid-City. Palestinian owned, they've got great coffee and breakfast and lunch items. I had a butter pecan latte and it was sooo good. Staff is friendly and understanding when I asked questions and mispronounced menu items. The vibes in here are immaculate. I heard about this place on Instagram so while down in New Orleans I had to try it and support this amazing business. I love working from a coffee shop and Cafe Levant was perfect. It was cute with plenty of room. I tried the Mufawar for the first time and loved it. It's medium roast coffee beans, cardamom, ginger and cinnamon with milk. I did almond milk. I ordered the avocado toast and was expecting an open face sandwich. When I saw the avocado sandwich basically, my face lit up. It was delicious. As I sat and worked I saw other's orders of breakfast sandwich's on croissants or bagels and burritos. Everything looked tasty and I can't wait to go back and try. The service was great. Friendly and you can tell there are regulars. It seemed like a family orientated place which I love. You can even bring your you four legged friends. Good matcha is still rare in Nola, but I would put this one up there as one of the best. The space is very cozy and relaxing and the warm tones of the decor enhance that vibe. I've loved this spot since it was Monkey Monkey - the location and airy venue speak for themselves, but Cafe Levant really elevates everything else. The service was quick and friendly. What sets this place apart already is the pastries - truly every one was delicious and the pistachio cheesecake is the best I've ever had. The matcha is fresh and not too "chalky." Ordered a Hot cocoa and a slice of Banana wLnut bread. The cocoa came and it was Luke warm. The Slice of Banana bread took at least 20minutes after the cocoa. In a perfect world I would like to get them at the same time. I asked the Barista about my cake and she went over to the young Lady serving the food and whispered to her about my order. I love working from coffee shops from time to time and love trying new places. The atmosphere and vibes were amazing - I would def come back here to work again. The chairs were comfy, the tables were a great size to work on. I ordered the Citrus Honey Hibiscus iced tea and it was delicious. They had some great coffee and non coffee options.
