I love the savory experience, and District Donuts has nailed it. It's exciting, decadent, yet still classic comfort flavors. If I lived locally I would eat this every day.

The Rooster

I don't usually give five stars, but credit where it's due--they earned every one. Food The Rooster - 9/10: A fantastic chicken sandwich. The filet was hot, crispy, and well-seasoned, tucked in a soft bun. I'm not usually a fan of spicy food, but the candied jalapeño and spicy pimento cheese added great flavor without overwhelming heat (spice level: 2/5). Ancho Sweet Taters - 10/10: Absolute perfection. Crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth creamy on the inside, and made even better with the buttermilk garlic dip. Service Our server was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive--everything you could hope for. Atmosphere The restaurant feels bright and open with its high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, and the furnishings are top-notch. A delicious treat all around.

Visiting from out of town and looking for a fast casual place to grab dinner, what a gem of a restaurant we found! We tried the burger sliders and fries, the hot honey chicken French toast biscuit, and a white chocolate mocha donut. Everything here was amazing! The dinner was freshly made to order and the donuts even at the end of the night were so fresh! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was seating inside with good vibes. Definitely will have to come back to try the breakfast menu and the coffee. They also had their own fountain sodas that were all very very good! So glad we stopped in to try this place and looking forward to trying more off the menu.

The food was really good and the service was amazing. I ordered the 2 fried chicken sliders and waffle fries. It was really good ! I'd give it a 9/10. The glaze donut was okay, it was soft that's the only perk. I'd give it a 7/10, I just it were glazed all around.

Went for the $2 sliders special and I will definitely be back. This location was such a vibe. The music wasn't too loud; it's a great place if you want grab a bite while studying and having some coffee. The beef slider was my favorite; literally seasoned so well. The chicken was also a decent size for a slider and juicy. The customer service was also great and we didn't wait long for our food.

Scrambled Egg & Cheese Biscuit + Turkey Sausage Patty

Me and the family was just out shopping and I seen District next door so we decide to go get a quick snack. The workers greeted us as we walked in the door all of them were super cool! Me and the wife love a good Vietnamese Coffee, I spotted there was one on the menu so we had to get it. It was so good I feel like it was well balanced but they gave me to much Ice next time I'll ask for light ice. The food: Egg & cheese biscuit Add Turkey sausage: Omg this was the best breakfast biscuit I've had in years! The egg is so fluffy & lightly salted, the biscuit was firm on the outside but so soft in the inside with a hint of sweatiness and the turkey Sausage was out of this work that what I think sold me. The sausage patty had countless amounts of flavor seasoned very well and very juicy. This will be my breakfast for many days to come!

Chicken and Hamburger Sliders with fries.

I was visiting New Orleans for a work trip and found the restaurant on TikTok. Upon arriving the anticipation was building. I knew I had to try the chicken and hamburger sliders and they didn't disappoint at all. And of course I had to try a cookie and ice cream. They were both delicious. The customer service was excellent and if I ever travel back to New Orleans I will definitely be going again.

Their actual food is delicious!! All the sliders we had were amazing. The donuts were a little much. They're very pretty and they have good taste but not great like I had hoped. You would think they'd be out of this world. They definitely didn't taste fresh. Lemonade was SOOOO TART! I had to cut it with big cups of water first before any of us could drink it. Vietnamese iced coffee was delish! So all in all get coffee and sliders and fries! Skip the fancy donuts and lemonade!

Hot Chicken & Honey Butter French Toast Biscuit

4/18/2022 I've been going to district for years strictly for donuts and coffee which they've mastered beautifully. I decided hey it's time to try out breakfast. I chose the hot honey buttered chicken biscuit. At first glance I wasn't sure how I was going to conquer this delicious massive sandwich in front of me. So I cut it in half and proceeded to dive in. The chicken was seasoned and fried so well. Warning it is a chicken thigh and not a chicken breast so it is darker meat. I had no issues with it. The biscuit was amazing think church's biscuit but way bigger and loads more of butter and honey with a kick of heat. It wasn't to spicy but the spice was still there. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich and when I'm ready hungry I'd get it again.

Great place to grab a cup of coffee and sweet treats. I really love the Kolaches as well, they are so yummy. Service is quick and efficient and the outdoor seating is a plus.

At the recommendation of a few people, we made our way to District Donuts anticipating some sweet treats to start our day. Our Lyft driver suggested that we try the breakfast sandwiches, and I'm so glad he did! We had an assortment of breakfast items-a couple sandwiches as well as a donut and a cinnamon roll. For the first time in history, my teen son was unable to finish his food-he raised the white flag and said he couldn't handle all the sweetness of the cinnamon roll. It was good, but mighty!

I love coming here for donuts when I'm in NOLA. In addition to getting donuts here, my friend and I also got the Hot Chicken & Honey Butter French Toast Biscuit and it was absolutely incredible - sweet & savory while also fried to perfectly and seasoned well. I've had the pork belly sliders here in the past and they were also very good. Now that I think about it, although the donuts are very good, I actually prefer the food items more lol. Also love that they have lavender lattes here so we ordered that - it was a bit too sweet for me so I did ask the barista for some more coffee to tone the sweetness down a bit and she was so nice about it. Service was great and love that this location isn't crazy busy.

Ask the Community - District Donuts Sliders Brew

Are there any vegan options?

They have a veggie burger and sometimes they'll have tofu sliders! As for vegan donuts I'm not sure.

Do they actually carry Kolaches or do they just carry klobasniky? So far the comments talk about klobansiky but no mention of actual Kolaches.

Yes, They do sell Kolache's. Until 11am and they are $2.75.

On on first day in New Orleans we explored the night life thoroughly and then stumbled across Cafe Du Monde, it wasn't too late at night but they were still opened which was nice. It was such a hot, humid night so we got their frozen cafe au lait and an order of their beignets. They paired so well together as we walked back to our street car line. I had a cafe au lait every day, it kept me cool and gave me some much needed energy with the heat. I know there's some debate on what cafe has the best beignets because I did find the night time versions do not compare to the fluffiness of those during the day.

The lines can be long but if you time it right (like we did) you can walk right in and get a table. We arrived about 3pm and found a table immediately. The review starts and ends with beignets. In case you have not heard, they are outstanding. Once you can flag a server and place your order, they come out a few minutes later piping hot and smothered in powder sugar. It is hard to describe the pure delight of the first bite, quickly followed by a second and third (depending on your tolerance for really hot fried dough). Everyone loves them, as well they should. In October 2026 an order of 3 was $4.83. We got two orders for 3 people and they were gone before you knew it. If you have not been, you must. If you have, you know exactly what I am talking about.

She was polite and hospitable, and said she couldn't wait to see me. It was the type of interaction you'd expect from Chick-fil-a. When I arrived, a young lady, perhaps a teenager, took my order and quickly boxed up my two dozen donuts. Again, she was hospitable and patient. I felt valued, and not like I was bothering them for patronizing their business. The donuts were still warm when I got home. The family quickly devoured them. And the icing on the cake? Two dozen mixed donuts were only $22 including tax. Other donut shops and bakeries could take a lesson in customer service from this place. It's simple--either train your staff to interact respectfully and professionally with customers, or if they lack the people skills, consider placing them in roles behind the scenes where they can still contribute without impacting the customer experience. I'm talking to you Buttermilk Drop and Adrian's Bakery. Regarding ambience, it's seen better days, and it's in a sketchy part of town. And, yes, there was a car parked on the grass, almost on the sidewalk, in front of the store. Hehe! That said, it's a great value.

The food is consistently good, which is why I keep coming back. They're almost always busy, so I definitely recommend putting your name on the waitlist as soon as possible because the wait can get pretty long. My biggest complaint, though, is the service. Unfortunately, it's been an issue pretty much every time I've visited. The servers often seem a little disengaged, forget things we ask for, and take a long time to bring out food or other items. During my most recent visit, the table next to us had their food brought out before we had even placed our order, even though we had been seated first. It honestly felt like our server had forgotten about us completely. We shouldn't have to keep trying to get someone's attention just to place an order or get the things we need. I understand that restaurants get busy, but there's a difference between being busy and making your customers feel overlooked. It's frustrating because the food is genuinely so good, and the service doesn't match the quality of the experience. Overall, I still love this place and will probably keep coming back because the food is that good! I just really wish the service were more attentive, organized, and welcoming. With better service, this place would be even harder to beat.
