The glazed beignets are a 10/10! I'm not the biggest pastry or donut lover, but these are delicious! They're light and the glaze isn't overbearing. The best neighborhood bakery! I've lived very close to Mr. B's (previously Honey Whip Donuts) for a very long time now and I can confidently say that I have never come across a bakery quite like it. For the longest time I would just get the donuts, which are to die for, but this year I finally tried one of their king cakes and OMG it was amazing! It is very similar to Randazzo's king cakes, so if you like those, then you'll definitely like Mr. B's king cakes. I may have even liked Mr. B's more than Randazzo's. Small bakery on the Westbank where you can get donuts, beignets, cakes, king cakes, and even a hot breakfast plate. It's located in a strip mall just down the street from Karr high school. The inside is small, but there are a few high top tables to sit and eat. They're open until 5:00pm, but I'd suggest that you get their early if you'd like anything other than beignets. I arrived around noon and the donut case was pretty sparse. There were a few cakes in the pastry case as well, but the glazed beignets are the star of the show here and the reason why I came. You can get them hot and fresh at any time of the day. They make them to order, so if you're getting more than I'd say a half dozen be prepared for a wait. When I went there was only one person working and she had a large order that she was working on. I waited over an hour for three dozen beignets. The young lady working was very kind and apologetic about the wait, but it wasn't her fault. Only so much you can do when you're short staffed. I had no issues here, but again, just be mindful if you visit. The wait paid off in the end though as everyone that got their hands on one of the warm delights adored them. Hopefully they can get some more staff soon as I'd love to try some of the other pastries and a breakfast sandwich. read more

This was my first time here. Seriously I tried to call at least 5 times about my order. These grits are not fresh. Y'all dead wrong. Just be cutting corners and selling people anything. Then wanna act all surprised when I called to let them know. You cannot re-warm grits. Period! Now I see someone stating my review was a lie. A girl answered the phone and stated there is a lady on the phone saying the grits are not fresh. I spoke to the owner. I could hear someone in the background a guy saying he told them not to serve it. I cannot make this up. For the young lady saying that I am lying. I've been cooking longer than you've been alive and I know old grits from fresh grits it's obvious you do not. Some people just eat anything.
