I don't go to Jefferson Parish often. But nine times out of ten, it's because I want Baker's Dozen fresh, hot glazed donuts. I'm not throwing this around lightly: this is hands down the best glazed donut in the New Orleans metro. Maybe all of America. I'm willing to defend that opinion. They're soft and airy in the middle, with that sugary crisp shell on the outside. They're always hot, and somehow they melt into this buttery, sweet perfection as you chew. It's the kind of donut that makes you sit in your car for a minute after the first bite just to appreciate what just happened, and you might just eat two before leaving the parking lot. I've had plenty of their other donuts, and they're all good. But nothing, and I mean nothing, touches the classic hot glazed. Be prepared for a line. Then forget about the line the second you take your first bite. It's worth every minute. If you're from Orleans Parish, let me save you the debate. Cross the parish line. Your diet can be mad at you tomorrow. read more

I absolutely love their donuts here! So fresh and gooey. My favorite. They melt in your mouth. We got the donut cake for daughters birthday that you order ahead of time. It was absolutely delicious. I was very surprised at how good it was! Ordering more for the future. When you order ahead of time, you just go to the side and do a quick pick up which is great. Everyone there is very nice! read more

10 out of 10. No notes. The best glazed donuts I've had in this city. That means a lot considering I hail from HTown and the home of Shipley's. The fresh glazed was hot enough to satisfy but had cooled long enough for the glaze to really Tati k to the bread. My son had the red glazed Christmas donut and it came with a cute little candy cane ring as a souvenir. The parking lot was packed at around 8:20a and a lot of the specialty donuts had already been purchased but the workers were quick and efficient. Will definitely return to try those cinnamon rolls and get more of the warm glazed donuts. read more

The absolute BEST donuts I've ever had. Quite similar to Shipley's donuts in Texas (but better) . They melt in your mouth. Honestly, makes you want to fight Krispy Kreme bc how dare they call themselves a donut when you got this right here? This?? Party in your mouth right here!!! read more

I arrived here at 7:20am and to my surprise it wasn't busy at. I went in expecting great service however, I did not receive it. Instead I was met with attitude and horrible customer service. I lady at the counter didn't greet me happily like she did guest before me. In addition to, not wanting to give me a bag for the dozen donuts that I purchased. Also, I believe I was supposed to to receive a free donut with the dozen that I purchased. I guess that's not something that I was allowed to receive along with good customer service. Donuts are great but customer service needs improvement! read more

Best doughnuts ever. Get there early if you want a selection because they run out! They will keep making the glazed though until they close.

The donuts is delicious my kids and I love them and every two weeks my kids ask for donuts and the service is awesome

Oh wow! I went here based on the reviews on Yelp! It was awesome. Got a dozen donuts and donut holes. Our favorite was the chocolate covered cake donut. It's a whole in the wall feel but the service was wonderful. A pleasant surprise is your glazed donuts are hot! read more

Best donuts in the area! Depending on how busy they are, sometime you'll have to wait for a parking spot to open up. If there's a wait for fresh, hot donuts, wait. It's worth it. read more

This is the best donut place in New Orleans. My husband is a donut snob and only goes here. The staff is so kind and helpful. There's a reason they always have a long line (order in advance the night before) and they sell out by 9:00-9:30. read more

I experienced the Bakers Dozen for the first time last week... Let's just say it won't be my last! A coworker brought a bunch of glazed donuts into work, and they are hands down the BEST glazed donuts in the city! I typically only like cake donuts, but now I've been converted. They are thick, perfectly sweet, soft, and chewy. Not your average glazed donut! Do yourself a favor, go get some! Grab me a few while you're at it ;) read more

It's easy to see why this place has been around for so long. Bakers Dozen has so many cute and creative donuts but I'll only order two when I come here because they're just that good. The Apple Crumble and the Apple Cinnamon are life. I can't decide which one I enjoy more, the crumble of Apple Crumble or the cinnamon sugary goodness of the Apple Cinnamon. Luckily I don't have to choose and just get half and half. Both are filled with warm and delicious apple filling and taste like the best apple pie you've ever had in your life but in donut form. They are little pillows of heaven. Normally I'm not a donut person, especially at breakfast. Don't get me wrong, they're good and everything but for breakfast I want savory, not sweet. Has Bakers Dozen changed this stance? Yes indeed. Don't let the line out the door stop you from trying them! So worth the wait for these babies! read more

This was my very first visit to the Bakers Dozen. I'm in love!!!! The customer service experience was AWESOME. I received a free donut hole just for being a new customer. When you purchase a dozen donuts you get 13 donuts instead of 12. I order a assorted dozen of donuts. Chocolate Donut Twist, Vanilla Donut Twist, Buttermilk Drop Holes, Apple Fiddle and a Honey Bun. I selected the Apple Crumble as my free donut. The Buttermilk Drop Holes are delicious. The donut Twist have the perfect crisp and soft center. The donut fillings are delicious OMG! If you haven't had the opportunity to try the Bakers Dozen I recommend you stop by soon. There is seating if you decided you want to enjoy your donut on site. I'm more of a Krispy Kreme kind of gal but I've been passing up this place every morning to work and finally decided to stop by. They open from 7am till 11am so usually I'm rushing to work and never had the chance to stop by. I've been back at least three or four times so far. Their glazed donuts are so freaking addictive. It's usually a five minute wait if you want glazed but the wait is so worth it. It just melts in your mouth. They also have bunch of different filling donuts and donuts hole to purchase. If you purchase a dozen of donuts, you get a free one. They also sell King Cakes. For kids, they have weekly special that they decorated in a theme. Be careful with parking and getting out since they are located in a busy intersection. read more

The best donut in town, in my humble opinion! There's a reason their hours are so limited-- BECAUSE THEY CAN BE!!! They're just that good! I'm a sucker for a hot glazed and their buttermilk donuts. Absolutely love Baker's Dozen! The donuts are always so fresh and fluffy. When you order glaze it may take a minute but that's only because they are bringing them straight from the back area so they will be super fresh and still hot.
