Had to put this thing in the microwave just to eat part of it.

if I could zero stars I would. went in bought an apple fritter and a pack of the McKenzie cinnamon rolls that I use to love as a kid got home which was 50 minutes away and the whole pack of cinnamon rolls were stale as heck. I paid $14 just to be disappointed. this place is a joke not like it used to be to be. waste of money.

    Soooo amazing yall

Such a delight to come to this location for my Tastee fix. I love the fact that out of all the Tastee locations, this 1 is fully serviced where everyone is ready & willing to serve with such a quick and upbeat personality. The aroma that hits you in the face as soon as you enter is beyond memorizing so much it makes you want to taste every single thing that has been baked. I highly suggest the buttermilk drops

This Tastee doesn't have the huge selection like the one on Loyola Dr in Kenner but they are, nonetheless, fresh and tasty. They have an assortment of donuts from glazed to cake donuts. Then there are numerous varieties of each one from a regular glazed to a chocolate ice glazed with sprinkles or a regular cake donut to glazed chocolate cake donuts. I usually get a small 1/2 dozen box for $4.99. Kastleburgers and a few other items are also available here (chicken and fish baskets). You can't go wrong with a few Kastleburgers late at night when on an empty stomach.

    Yumm-ay!

Tastee has been in my life for decades! I don't remember a time before chocolate sprinkle donuts and I distinctly remember my first Kastleburger with cheese! It was a rush of addictive wonderfulness that I have revisited, with fervor, time and time again! This location takes me waaaayyyy back with the sugar dressed donuts of my dreams, McKenzie's favorites, and the staple slider Kastleburger. Good coffee, tasty tasty treats and sweet smiling staff make this my favorite Tastee of all time!

Apple fritters are the bomb. These are some of the best I have had. Large, crispy on the outside and soft and tasty inside.

Do you have old McKenzies buttermilk drops?

They do not have "old" McKenzies buttermilk drops. That would be stale & gross! They DO have the original recipe for McKenzies buttermilk drops & make fresh donuts daily. Yummy!

I'm not throwing this around lightly: this is hands down the best glazed donut in the New Orleans metro. Maybe all of America. I'm willing to defend that opinion. They're soft and airy in the middle, with that sugary crisp shell on the outside. They're always hot, and somehow they melt into this buttery, sweet perfection as you chew. It's the kind of donut that makes you sit in your car for a minute after the first bite just to appreciate what just happened, and you might just eat two before leaving the parking lot. I've had plenty of their other donuts, and they're all good. But nothing, and I mean nothing, touches the classic hot glazed. Be prepared for a line. Then forget about the line the second you take your first bite. It's worth every minute. If you're from Orleans Parish, let me save you the debate. Cross the parish line. Your diet can be mad at you tomorrow.

The gentleman that was making our drinks didn't really seem like he wanted to be there and wasn't as friendly as the others. We love Asian inspired flavors like pandan and ube and this place had it all! There were so many innovative and unique ice cream flavors like Vietnamese coffee, lychee, pandan coconut, etc. It was a little overwhelming at first because there was just so many desserts and drinks to choose from! They also had cafe drinks and we ordered a few to try! I had the banana pudding matcha latte and it's honestly one of the better matcha lattes I've had. There were scoops of banana pudding in the matcha both on the bottom and top. Each sip had that delicious banana flavor (not artificial) along with the matcha. It wasn't too sweet and banana goes extremely well with the matcha. My SIL had the lavender matcha latte and she enjoyed it as well. Lavender can overpower alot of flavors if not done right and they did it right here! The flavors were balanced well without it being too floral. My husband had the latte with pandan cream foam and what he loved about it was that he can taste the pandan flavor. Pandan is a very light and delicate flavor so it can get a bit muddled with other flavors. I tried it and the pandan's flavor was bold and bright. Mixed with the espresso and milk and it was creamy and delicious. We also got three cookies to try: Vietnamese coffee, ube, and pandan coconut. The cookies were about $5 a pop but they were so worth it! They were all huge and jam stuffed with either chocolate chips, coconut, or white chocolate chips! I am literally still dreaming about the cookies! My favorite cookie was probably the pandan coconut one but the ube and Vietnamese coffee one were close. The Vietnamese coffee cookie was good but the flavor of the coffee could be stronger. I do appreciate how rich and decadent each cookie was and I will absolutely come back just for the cookies haha. They had a bunch of different and unique flavors too! We also got some ice cream to try. My husband had the pandan coconut and SIL got the cream cheese red velvet. They know how to make their ice cream right that's for sure. The flavors were like a punch to your face (in a good way) and we all agreed that they were both delicious. I'm knocking one star off because the service could be a little friendlier. Can't wait to come back and try more desserts off their menu (they had cakes, macarons, etc.).

Crisp on outside and juicy on the inside. I know someone mentioned greasiness of the hot dog. So I was checking for that and it definitely is the normal juice that was come from the rolling heater you see hot dogs on at a convenience store. Also with the donuts, if you want an American sweet taste from the donut, then go with the one with the most glaze. Because in order to maintain the right chewy texture there isn't going to be a lot of sugar in that dough. So for me the s'mores I got to try was a lot more sweet than the churro. I also had the ube matcha which was pretty standard. I did like that I could ask for alternative milk as sometimes the milks are premade and don't have all the options. I'm not a fan of the parking in that strip, so I'm more likely to visit other locations but if you are at the mall and have a taste for corn dogs this is the only place to be ( it's behind the mall but close enough).

She was polite and hospitable, and said she couldn't wait to see me. It was the type of interaction you'd expect from Chick-fil-a. I felt valued, and not like I was bothering them for patronizing their business. The donuts were still warm when I got home. The family quickly devoured them. And the icing on the cake? Two dozen mixed donuts were only $22 including tax. Other donut shops and bakeries could take a lesson in customer service from this place. It's simple--either train your staff to interact respectfully and professionally with customers, or if they lack the people skills, consider placing them in roles behind the scenes where they can still contribute without impacting the customer experience.
