This place has some of the best food around with a large menu and plenty to choose from. I usually order several items like the gumbo or the po-boy plate. This time I went with the glazed donuts, easily some of my favorite donuts. This spot does require patience since everything is cooked to order and it's almost always packed. That said, I've never had a bad meal here. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall, so don't expect a lot when it comes to cleanliness, and that's the reason for the 4 stars. If you're coming for flavor and don't mind the wait or the no-frills atmosphere, it's worth the stop. read more

Paying $14.99 for a wing plate is a little absurd but I must say you definitely got your moneys worth. I did a pickup order and they told me 15mins, and they were every bit of on time. The customer service was good. The lady that took my order was very helpful & knowledgeable. Not only did I receive this hug plate of wings and fries, I got a large drink and 1 free donut. So for order 718 you see I ordered a lasagna plate right, after waiting a while and everybody else in my group got they orders she say oh we outta lasagna what else you want. So I said let me just get the shrimp and crawfish pasta - I didn't ask for the shrimp cakes bc obviously that meal was higher than what I paid...she start telling me she can't give me that ... ma'am it's 4am WTH do you have available that's comparable to what I ordered. Our Uber driver recommended this to us on our 3:30am ride home! We were looking for a breakfast spot without having to go to downtown and this was perfect. The menu is HUGE and they are open 24hours. My mom loved her omelette & grits (they are not stingy with the bacon) The portion sizes were huge, and everything was cooked nicely. The ladies at the counter were helpful and quick. Well...I was looking for an afternoon meal and this was right on time. I asked for the turkey wing plate & was told they were out...'But, we have turkey necks', she said. (Wait, I looove turkey necks!!). Anyway, got a turkey neck w/optional gravy, salad & mashed potatoes. This included a drink & donut all for less than $13. I started experiencing donut-choice overload because it was just too much!! Too many choices, oh my. So I said with uncertainty, "peanut?!!" The food was great. It may take a few minutes for your food to come out, but when it does!!!!!

Staff refused to make dounuts without cheese. They were not friendly. The place was not clean.

This spot is truly a hidden gem yall. Now don't go flocking over cos you're going to mess it up for all of us, head over in a single file& have some manners. So from beginning to end. It's a small hole in the wall, only about 4/5 tables. Definitely dated but clean & kept it good condition. Placing the order takes time and you will not be serviced immediately. The lady was emotionless but a complete sweetheart. With all my extra requests (more napkins, a new bag, bought two donuts) she was nice and didn't give me grief about anything. Anyways, I was standing around for a good 3/4 minutes before she emerged from the back to take my order. I ordered the smothered Turkey wing, with jambalaya, shrimp & crawfish pasta and potato salad. No lie, it took about a good 20/25 minutes for my food to come out, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The Turkey just fell off the bone. (If you Turkey wings then you know it can be tough and hard if not cooked properly.) I DIDNT NEED A TOOTHPICK AFTER EATING THE WING! That says a lot to me lol. Everything about the wing was perfection, the seasoning, the texture, the HEAT! The jambalaya was soooo freaking good. Potato salad was meh, there was a herb in it I didn't really care for but that's a me problem. And the crawfish and shrimp pasta was PERFECTION!!! Chunks all throughout the cup, seasoned well, with a hint of spice. I can't emphasize enough how kind this lady was to me even tho I went back up to the register about 3 more times after my initial order. She was so much patience and that is a big deal for me. This place is absolutely worth a try. I'm so sad I found this spot the day I was flying out but it's a HUGE plus that it's a five minute drive from the airport. So I'll def be coming back and trying something new when I'm in town again. read more

Stopped by during the Corona outbreak for some donuts and plate lunches to go. All of the donuts were superb, and the smothered chicken lunches were throughly enjoyed. The total price was $37 and some change, and I paid with $100 bill. Later, when I pulled the change she had given me out of my wallet, it was only $42 instead of $62. Not sure if it was accidental or intentional, but I was too busy enjoying my food to really care too much.
