Very good donuts and cinammon rolls. Ordered a delivery box with banana pudding filled, chocolate peanut butter filled and a strawberry shortcake cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll positively surprised me, as it was moist throughout, had a nice balance of cinnamon and sugar, and stood up well on its own even without the cream and strawberry toppings included on the side. Both donuts featured delicious, non artificial tasting fillings. The banana cream was a bit light but solid and the peanut butter cream in the Chocolate-PB donut hit the mark perfectly. Why no 5 stars? Well, unfortunately, DD's donuts suffer from the same problem of many other donut shops who craft large sized, filled specimens- the unfilled exterior portions dry out and you get too many bites with no filling. Fortunately, the filling quality here is superior to many other spots, but I sure wish that either the size was reduced to 3/4 or 1/2, or more filling was added to make for a perfect dough to filling ratio.

We popped over to District donuts for breakfast sandwiches and a donut after seeing how good the food looked on google. We were not expecting to find our meal at district the best we had while in New Orleans. First of all, the brussel sprouts are unreal and something we craved the whole 4 days we spent in New Orleans. Whatever sweetness they add to them, was fantastic! I ordered the ranchero burger and it was cooked to perfection! It was slightly spicy but so savory and filling! My hubby ordered the rooster and cleaned his plate! The Thai tea drink was a bit too sweet, as they make it with condensed milk, so if that's your thing, you'll love it! Lavendar latte impressed me and the shot was not bitter! We ordered donuts to go and they were great! Do not sleep on District!

This was my first time going to District Donuts. They don't have a dedicated parking area but street parking is plentiful enough. It's a really tiny place and there was only one woman working. She was great! We all ordered a coffee and a biscuit. We broke our parties into two groups so the second group did have to wait to order since she was making our biscuit sandwiches but it was no big deal. Just something to consider! My biggest problem with this location was that the entrance door will hit you if this place is full. It swings in and hits a pretty awkward place in the space. The coffee was SO GOOD. I really enjoyed it. Now the biscuits were even better! I got the biscuit with havarti cheese and an egg cup. The biscuit is so buttery and wonderfully crumbly. Highly recommend the biscuits!

Seated right away, and my server was sweet and funny! The ambience gives modern hipster with lots of window lighting and blues and grays. Came for the donuts but got the hot chicken and butter biscuit which was soooo good. The chicken was tender but crunchy, the biscuit was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the flavor was sweet with a hint of spice! We also got the crème brûlée cinnamon roll which was very sweet so I suggest maybe getting that for a sweet treat and not just for breakfast if you aren't too into sweets.

Very impressive and I was so unsure of what to order because it was 11am and I was between wanting breakfast and lunch and the kolache helped me find balance. I also picked out two donuts that I ate later. I ate one later that day and one the next day and they were so fresh a filling.

I'm upset with myself for waiting so long to try this place but better late than never. Employees were very nice and happy to tell me about the food seeing that it was my first visit. The restaurant is cozy and open so you can see them get your order together, I like that! Everything on the menu looks amazing but I had to have the infamous Hot Chicken & Honey Butter Biscuit and I ordered donuts to go. My order came out quickly and she was nice enough to hold my to go order until I got ready to leave. That chicken biscuit is Everything they said, buttery with a bit of sweet heat all soaking and oozing down that delicious biscuit! Good thing I don't live closer because that could be a problem for me! I was afraid that the donuts would not travel well but they were delicious!! I can't believe how good the donuts were!! Now I'm spoiled, I can no longer eat a mediocre donut.

This was one of my picks thanks to numerous recommendations on TikTok! Plus I love donuts, so it wasn't a hard choice! When you walk in you order and pay at the counter then they'll call your name when your food and or drink is ready. We got here around noon, so the donut selection was slimmer than I'm sure it was earlier in the day! I got a blueberry cheesecake donut. It was really good. We also got one of the hot chicken and honey butter french toast biscuits to share. We all enjoyed that too. I love a fancy donut, so when I get the opportunity I will always be sure to stop at a specialty local shop.

District Donuts Sliders Brew is part of a local chain that serves ice cream, donuts, burgers, and sandwiches. It has a Las Vegas Strip location, too. The vibe in Garden District branch is super chill, and the staff here were really friendly. We ordered: * Double Cheeseburger with extra onion $11.50 * Two Sliders & Waffle Fries with 2 pieces of chicken $11 The food was served quickly. The burger was a little on the smaller side, but it tasted pretty good. Since a lot of restaurants were closed for Memorial Day, we felt lucky to find this cute place open after strolling around the Garden District and it made for a nice and relaxed dinner stop. One of the best coffee shops in the Garden District! The crew at this location is phenomenal. Even the one time my order was made incorrectly, they fixed it immediately and offered me free cookies. My go-to order is a vanilla iced latte with caramel and a chocolate chip cookie. They literally have the best chocolate chip cookies in New Orleans--put your money up and argue with someone else! I always stop by on my lunch break, and the service is consistently excellent. Great job, District/Magazine team!

We had the Ranch bird chicken sandwich and it was SO good. I can't stop thinking about it. I wish we had a District Donuts in Austin! The crispy Brussels sprouts were so tasty and fresh. We tried the Bananas fosters donut and the lemon raspberry. The Bananas foster was amazing! 10/10. Not too sweet and a perfect balance of flavors. The lemon raspberry was good, if you like a tangy lemon flavor you'll love this one.

Disappointing $11 Hot Chicken & Honey Butter Biscuit

Made a loooong treck by foot at 8am in the morning, just for the Insta-viral hot chicken & honey butter biscuit sandwich. Was one of the first customers of the day. Lovely staff. Friendly and accommodating. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Casual eatery vibes. Got the hot chicken & honey butter biscuit sandwich to go, but ended up eating it at the outdoor patio. This was an example of how you cannot trust Instagram. The biscuit was tasty--buttery and filling. The fried chicken was disappointing. Not only was the piece tiny, it was not crispy or flavorful. Pretty bland. Not enough sauce or seasoning. I like my food flavorful and messy, so I was very sad that my sandwich barely had any of that delicious butter. Overall, a waste of $11. Bland, small sandwich. Chicken was a let down. Biscuit was good. Maybe try other items on the menu.

Today, we were exploring outside the French Quarter in NOLA! So much more to NOLA than the French Quarter. Down in the Freret area, we found beautiful homes, nice cafes, and boutiques.. We decided on District Donuts. So many donuts to choose from. I love key lime pie, so I tried their key lime donut. My wife got the cinnamon roll. They both were served fast, and our iced latte took less than a few minutes. Their coffee was really good. The donuts and roll were so soft. The cinnamon roll melted in our mouth. Not too sweet but just enough!!! The key lime donut was soft and fresh.... And the frosting kind of tasted like lime, but in no way tasted like key lime. Didn't finish it. It was terrible, just bland and not what I expected. Overall, their customer service is fantastic, prices are decent, cinnamon roll was outstanding.... But pass on the key lime donut. Not worth it. 5 star service, 4 for the food

I came for the chicken sandwich and it didn't disappoint. It was really flavorful and the biscuit. There wasn't a long wait for ordering nor the food. Also ordered some donuts. Wasn't a fan of the glazed. It was dry and thick/bready. I kind of played over it. Not sure if it was out for a while or not fresh. That's how it tasted. The cinnamon roll donut was good. The restaurant itself was a nice size. It was a decent amount of seating and I believe it was an outside area in the back but I didn't walk that way to verify. Saw other patrons walking that way. Overall I would be back to try a different donut.

Between my partner and I, we didn't spend more than $30 in this place. This place is super low-key; no expectations of dressing fancy one bit. This past week we visited and we could both tell right away things were different. The inside of the restaurant was filthy and I mean filthy. You could see the floor under the bar and in the kitchen hadn't been cleaned in months. The fryers hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Everything just looked dirty and like no effort is put into cleaning and maintenance. We decided to eat anyway which was a mistake. We love their burgers that are cooked and steamed old school. We both ordered one. My wife ordered hers with bacon, which they charge over 3 bucks for. We both ordered our burger dressed with all the fixings. When my wife's burger came out it had no bacon and no fixings. I told the waiter and he said he would handled it. He never did as he started doing other orders. My burger had no flavor and it looked like the person that made it didn't care , which goes along with the restaurant cleanness. One thing that really turned us off was the was other guest were treated by staff. The "cook" was completely pissed off and had a horrible attitude. A group came in looking for a table and there wasn't room. He yelled at them that there wasn't room. They stood in the entrance area for a few moments and then he yelled at them that they needed to get out of the restaurant and wait outside. He told them this isn't a restroom so don't wait in line. The attitude and distain in his voice was overwhelming. A few minutes later a couple came in and found 2 seats at the bar. They decided to order food to go and was talking to the waiter. One of the 2 people ordering was standing behind the empty bar seat while they ordered. The cook yelled at this person that they needed to sit down. Both customers were stunned. The waiter told the cook they were making an order to go and the cook could be heard muttering under his breath. This little guy was nothing but attitude and seemed extremely pissed off the there. Maybe instead of being the restaurant traffic cop and total smart ass he should concentrate on getting orders straight since ours was screwed up and never fixed. Whatever charm this place had is gone along with the any effort to keep it up to clean standards.

I've been coming here for about 6 or 7 years now, and they are easily in my top three. The vibe? Dive bar, laid back, no fuss... but the FOOD? Don't sleep on it. Their menu is solid and I still haven't made it through everything yet. I've had the wings, which we actually got this visit but ate them so fast we didn't even get a picture. That should tell you enough right there. I've had the pizza, and my husband usually goes for a burger. Never any complaints. They've got plenty on tap and the drinks hit too. I love a good Electric Lemonade, but this time I kept it simple with an Angry Orchard. Now let's talk about what keeps me coming back... The steak. We got our old faithful, one of their signature steaks, the 10oz petite ribeye. This is exactly what made me fall in love with Turtle Bay in the first place. Normally it's around $13.95, comes with a twice stuffed potato and a slice of garlic bread. A DEAL. This time it was a little higher, but still under $15, which honestly is still more than fair with how prices are these days. And when I say it be hitting... it be hitting. Only reason this visit didn't get a full 5 stars? My steak was cooked a little over my liking. I usually go for medium, and this one leaned more done than I prefer. Not horrible, just not my usual perfection. But everything else? Still solid. The staff is always nice, always welcoming. I've never had a bad experience with them, and that matters. And I already know I'm coming back because I keep hearing the crawfish is FIRE. Yeah... I need to see that for myself. This is my happy place. Open 24/7, consistent, affordable, and just a real gem in the French Quarter. The Bay is Babe. Period.

New Orleans version of a NY bodega is where I found one of the best and most adorable shrimp po'boys. You'll have to put these directions into your phone, because the location is in the depths of the neighborhood district. It's walkable to and from the popular Canal Street, just much quieter and secluded. You won't be able to park on this particular street, but near by areas would allow for street parking. This is in fact a grocery store with a hot food market setup in the back. I was pleasantly greeted immediately as I entered by a gentleman stocking, and a nice lady behind the register. I immediately darted to the back of the store and saw the setup, simple with a bit of updated technology. You can order and pay at a tablet style screen, and wait for the magic to be made on the other side. It took about 5 minutes and I got a text my order was ready, the same gentleman who was stocking called out my name from the back and handed me a 12 inch shrimp po'boy for 12.00. This sandwich was incredible, loaded with crispy fried shrimp and fresh lettuce. The bun was soft and very fresh, I added extra pickles for an acidic flavor breakup to the fried fish and dough. The flavors were on point, very seasoned and perfectly cooked shrimp. I was very impressed by the price and quality....not to mention customer service. Pro Tip: My van driver mentioned to me before dropping me off at the hotel, a lot of people walk Burbon Street and turn around when it becomes residential. But there is actually a ton of life and experiences to be had off the beaten path, both local and authentic.
