I really enjoyed the iced Pisatchio latte I had. This place is bright and cheery inside. There's an outdoor seating area in the back.

Ordered a pistachio petals as a iced latte (instead of matcha) This was over $9. Zero flavor of pistachio, tasted like there was 1 shot of espresso with over a full cup of milk. The "cold foam" tasted like just heavy whipping cream. Extreme rip off.

We came in on a chill Saturday, not too busy and didn't wait too long for them to take my order. We ordered a Regular matcha latte and Strawberry fields drink. While waiting for the drinks to be made, we visited and strolled around the shop next door with unique items, which was quite nice to have! The drinks itself were just alright. If you're someone who likes ceremonial grade matcha with very minimal, almost to no sweetener, this is the right place for you. My matcha latte was quite flavorless, which was surprisingly considering how many people i've heard say that this was the best in town. The Strawberry fields drink however was quite tasty! The cold foam was honestly the best part of the drink and tasted like strawberry milk and the purée in addition was great, but again quite lackluster in the flavor department. Also, I was not pleased with the cashier/ worker who took my order. She did not initiate conversation when it was my turn to place an order. It honestly felt very awkward and not welcoming. Not sure if I would come again :/

The area was spacious and connected to another store selling kitchen items. The staff was friendly and the apple pie chat latte was great! I was pleased with how it came out, I drank the whole thing :) Will come back sometime!

This was my first time trying Lower Coast and I will definitely be returning. The peppermint mocha latte was so good! They also have 1% milk which is hard to find at coffee shops. The pastries were also delicious and are made by a local friend to the business who specializes in French pastry. The baristas were friendly and made our drinks very quickly. There's not a ton of seating inside by they do have a patio for milder and warmer months.

Had the matcha latte at Lower Coast Coffee and it was excellent. Smooth, vibrant matcha flavor with the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. You can tell they use quality matcha. Definitely one of the better matcha lattes I've had. Highly recommend.

I believe this is an already established place but it was new to me. I'd come here again! I love the coffee shop aesthetic. It was filled with some greenery and had a simple little bar area. If I lived in this area I could see myself at this coffee shop every weekend. The matcha was surprisingly good although I wish I just got the normal one, the coconut added was a little too sweet. Workers were nice!

    Plain bagel, mostly devoured.

A tad overpriced but the food is delicious and high quality. I just got a plain bagel to go and it comes with cream cheese of choice. I got the honey pecan and it's flavorful with just the right ratio of sweet to savory. They also carry a wide array of tasteful souvenir type items, many of which seem handmade. It's hard to come in for just one thing if you're easily distracted like me. Employees are pretty chill too, and will give you honest recs of what's good. Would recommend, especially to tourists.

One of the best matches in New Orleans! I was pleasantly surprised! The pumpkin matcha was to die for! Lovely space with lots of seating! Friendly service too. I highly recommmend and would come back!

Such a cute and small place! I had their fallin for you banana bread matcha and it was DELICIOUS! I will say that there is not much of a matcha flavor but the drink is still very yummy! The service was quick and nice. There are about 4 desk if you want to sit and study here. Overall I would for sure come back!

On Magazine Street in New Orleans, I came across Lower Coast Coffee. Lower Coast Coffee and the handcrafted cutting board store, NOLA Boards share a space. The majority, of the space is NOLA Boards, there is a small counter dedicated to Lower Coast Coffee. There was a very free spirited man working as a barista. I got a Pistachio Latte with Chicory. This was very flavorful, very pistachio. Maybe it's the, chicory that made the flavor so prominent. There is nowhere to sit inside. There are two little tables and chairs outside. It would be nice if they could offer some indoor seating. Their coffee menu at Lower Coast Coffee is very broad and very flavorful.

I'm so late on posting this review... but here it is! Lower Coast is our favorite coffee spot. My husband and I love everything they offer and if we could get coffee from here every day we absolutely would! I also want to say that Spencer is the best! Every time we go and he's there, he gives the best recommendations and is always so so kind - and always has the prettiest/coolest designed nails! It truly is such a treat when we get to pop in on the weekends!

    King cake iced latte

Amazing vibes overall! The coffee was super flavorful and delicious. We got the king cake latte iced and the campfire hot chocolate. The cold foam flavor was amazing and I've never had such a flavorful hot chocolate. You could really taste the campfire flavors! It was only one lady working and a busy morning too but she was amazing at keeping it rolling. Definitely will be back

The atmosphere? 10/10. It's one of those places that just feels good. Calm, airy, aesthetically pleasing without trying too hard. Perfect for getting work done, studying, catching up with your friend, or a cute little meet-up with your boo. And it's family-friendly, which I love. Inside + outside seating, so you can really choose your mood for the day. Now let's talk about what really matters... the BAGEL. Listen... it has been YEARS since I've had a goooood bagel sandwich. Like the kind you think about later. The kind that makes you pause mid-bite. This is THAT spot. The menu isn't overwhelming, but the options?? Whew. So many bagel choices, cream cheeses, jams--because let's be real... what is a bagel without cream cheese?? I went in fully planning to get two sandwiches just to try more (greedy, I know ), but this one humbled me real quick. I got the BlueBird... and I've been eyeing it for a minute, so I already knew I had to. Turkey, jalapeño cream cheese, banana peppers, blueberry jam... Yeah. Let that sit. Sweet, savory, creamy, a little kick... it just works. I was SOLD. While I was sitting there working, I asked a couple next to me if they were regulars (because their food looked too good not to ask ). They told me they come all the time and basically get everything. That told me everything I needed to know. And honestly? I believe them. You will NOT be disappointed here. And the drink?? Oh it had a little punch to it--in the best way. Not watered down, not playing with you. One of those "okayyyy I taste it" moments. IYKYK. Overall, this was such a great experience. The food, the vibe, the energy... everything aligned. I will absolutely be back--especially when I'm on that side of the river again. Flour Moon, you did your thing.

The coffee? Strong enough to fix your life. The service? Warm, attentive, and somehow psychic--they just knew when we needed refills or another mimosa (which, for the record, felt less like a drink and more like a lifestyle choice). Our goal every year is to find somewhere new, and Cafe FDL definitely fit the bill this year. There is quaint seating on the first and second floor, and it feels like there's not going to be enough room, but the wait isn't bad. Price wise, it was reasonable, and it was filling enough that I wasn't hungry when I left, nor was I ill-prepared for any shenanigans that the say might bring. Definitely a solid choice for breakfast in the Quarter. Not fancy, but filling!
