Visited Sweet Saint July 2025. The ice cream shop is small & cute. Traditional styled ice cream shop setup where they only have limited menu items. The service was great. I ended up getting two scoops of ice cream. I would return here again on my next trip to NOLA.
Both the owner and the employee who helped us were very sweet. We each got the chicory and coffee ice cream in waffle cones, and it was absolutely delicious. Rich, strong coffee flavor with a creamy, slightly "stretchy" texture. We would love to come back and try the other flavors. Highly recommend giving this ice cream shop a try if you haven't.
Saint is a smaller ice cream store but delivers in flavor. There are limited flavors and the scoops are New Orleans themed. Service was decent with scoopers offering suggestions. I ordered the banana with chocolate pieces. It was smooth and not too sweet. And you get an ice cream scoop store atmosphere which works well in humid NOL.
The selection here is so unique in the best way. I got the banana brownie ice cream and it's so delicious! They churn their own ice cream in house and it's super high quality and creamy. The owner is really nice as well.
Came here after dinner. I ordered "the mona lisa". It is a lavender, blueberry and Louisiana citrus and a cream cheese based hard ice cream. The consistency was thicker but so good! They use cane sugar and I love how the taste and texture is! I would definitely recommend this flavour! The owner Kenny was super nice as well! Will visit again if I have the chance in the future! It is a cute and small shop with art pieces to display and for sale too! The crochet ice creams were so cute!!
Idk how this place was so dead when we went, maybe because it's kinda hidden but some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Super unique flavors and all incredibly tasty. For sure worth a stop!! Worker gave good recs and had us try some of his favorites as well which was fun! Small amount of seating inside and right in the French quarter so very convenient if you're down that way anyway!
In the heart of a touristy, busy area in New Orleans, this is a quaint little local spot scooping up homemade flavors! I had a hard time choosing a flavor, especially after sampling quite a few and enjoying all of them. From chicory to goat cheese and jam to triple chocolate, all of the flavors are exciting and delicious. The owner was kind enough to give me a half scoop of my 2 favorite flavors in a waffle cone. I enjoyed the chicory & chocolate as well as a seasonal pumpkin flavor! Skip the tourist traps and stop here to support a local shop.
Stumbled across this super sweet ice cream shop when craving something sweet after dinner and it definitely hit the spot with their stellar service and flavors! Our server (didn't get her name!) was so friendly in letting us try the different flavors and provided an excellent recommendation. We enjoyed sampling the various flavors and settled on a single cup of crème de citron in a cup ($5.99) which was a very creamy flavor reminiscent of key lime pie! The place is on the smaller side with bright lighting and few seating but you can certainly enjoy your ice cream strolling around the charming neighborhood. 10/10 recommend for ice cream aficionados!
seriously fantastic ice cream. limited hours, but worth the rush after work. the coffee ice cream was perfect -- not too bitter, not too sweet, and incredibly creamy. the flecks and chips of chocolate pushed it over the top. the shop is small but cute and they let you sample! i took a little bite of the marigny (cucumber sorbet) and it was super delightful as well - really fresh and bright. i wish i had enough time to come back and sample all of the flavors, because i bet they're all out of this world. i'll be thinking about that coffee ice cream for a while!

This ice cream place had great reviews and it was near our hotel. We stopped by to get a late night sweet treat. My mom got the mint chocolate chip and I got their Bayou mud. The ice cream was okay, nothing remarkable. They do have some unique flavors but we weren't wowed by what we got. Perhaps we didnt get the right flavors. The consistency of the ice cream was a bit off as well. We were expecting it to be creamy and it was rather hard and dense instead.
In the mood for something sweet in the Quarter ... Sweet Saint is the spot ! Homemade, unique, flavorful ice cream. Creative ingredients and recipes abound. The owners run the place and are super sweet! Enjoy tastes with medal spoons and conversation. Always great to be able to support a local family business, even better when the food and service exceeds your expectations. Only downside is no tables ... just a couple stools.

What a unique selection of ice creams and sorbets. Wonderful flavors. If you like ice cream and a unique variety of flavors, then this is your ice cream shop. The owner/ manager was very engaging and explained the process on how they created their flavors. Super nice and helpful. read more

Sweet Saint is definitely a hidden gem, inconspicuously situated on St. Louis St. between Royal St and Bourbon St. I was on the hunt for coffee flavored ice cream and had to visit a couple of places before finding Sweet Saint. The attendants were so friendly and served us quickly. They had exactly what I was looking for in their chicory coffee with chocolate chip flavor. I got a double scoop to share with my friend. We both loved it! read more

I'm currently waiting for the nola pride parade to get to St Louis Street, so I popped into Sweet Saint to get a cold treat. Saw the sign out front. Vegan ice cream, you say? I'm in. I tried the Ponchatoula strawberry. It has a hint of lime for tang, and while it isn't creamy, it does have a nice smooth texture and is softer than most sorbets. Most of all, it hits you with a bright, fresh pop of flavor, just like eating ripe strawberries in summer--not at all like the typical artificial berry full of red 40. The woman who served me said they're working on a coconut based flavor, which I'm excited about. Sadly, I'm allergic to dairy, so I always appreciate a true ice cream with alternative milk. read more
This gelato shop, man oh man! Okay, let me calm myself down. No matter where I travel, I always love to try and experience ice cream/gelato. Stepping into this shop is a vibe unto itself. The owner is so chill and is passionate about making his gelato! It has a rich organic butter content, so the ice cream has a taste like you have never imagined. Imagine creamy but also thicc, yes with the double C! The owner told me the stories behind each flavor! A plus is that sampled are also available. I ordered a double scoop with #1 chocolate coffee chicory which was so smooth, vibrant and awakened my senses! #2 mint chocolate chip, the mint was very bold and vibrant! This rocked my world! Always refreshing and delicious! Sweet Saint has become one of my French Quarter Favorites! I haven't ever had a flavor disappoint me, but my favorite flavor remains The Northern Most State of the Caribbean. That sweet, juicy mango and coconut sorbet is incredible! Hands Down - this was the BEST Ice Cream we have ever had in our 60+ years of living! It was so dense (from hand folding & whipping we were told) that even in a 75 degree evening, it would not melt when we stepped outside. Absolutely exquisite ice cream and I'm not an Ice Cream fanatic. You MUST stop by and taste 4 yourself! You will be sorry if you don't. Gentleman in charge couldn't have been kinder or more patient and understanding with families! read more

I cannot tell you how many times we pass this little spot and never really gave it much thought other than putting it on my mental list to try. What were we thinking?!?! Why didn't we come in sooner??? Absolutely delicious homemade ice cream with well thought out flavors. It is rich and creamy and this isn't your ordinary chocolate or vanilla. My husband chose their Mardi Gras pie flavor. It had chunks of Moon Pie in the ice cream and a delicate banana flavor. I had their bayou mud. It was a mix of chocolate and marshmallow ice cream with a caramel ribbon, roasted pecans, and homemade brownies chunks throughout. We both had them in waffle cones. I didn't even get a picture of them as we devoured them quickly. I wanted to go back and get a second scoop, but we're in the middle of king cake season and so I have to balance it all out. My only suggestion would be that they make waffle cones. That is what would make their ice cream perfect. Plus the smell of a fresh waffle cone would bring so many in off the street to try their many flavors. Cute little place, and their staff is incredibly gracious as you can sample the many flavors. I was craving ice cream on this hot summer day, so I headed to Sweet Saint near Bourbon Street. It's a cute shop, but it lacks seating options. That was fine with me since I was just grabbing a cup and heading out. I sampled two flavors before deciding to go with a scoop of An Ice Cream Named Desire, which contains three different chocolates. It was creamy and rich; definitely a must try for chocolate lovers! read more
Came to this place a little before 8 pm and there were not a lot of people here so I didn't have to wait too long to place my order and receive my ice cream. I haven't tasted ice cream with this consistency before. The consistency is much different than the typical ice cream you would get at the grocery store or Baskin Robbins. This one was very thick and a bit stretchy. They make all ice cream in the store which is cool (this reflects in the price of the ice cream- it is a bit on the expensive side). Also even though the place is really small, there is still a cute sitting area with small chairs so you could eat inside. I fairly enjoyed the coffee ice cream I got. I am a coffee ice cream lover so it was pretty good but I will say if you don't like an overpowering coffee flavor, the coffee ice cream here is not for you. My sister got two scoops of different flavored ice creams (the Desire and a special one). She liked it a lot but two scoops made her super full. I definitely recommend only one scoop because it's very filling. The woman taking my order was also very nice and helpful. Overall, very good place but definitely a bit pricey. read more

If you're wondering near Bourbon Street and the French Quarter and crave a sweet treat, Sweet Saint is worth stopping into. It's locally made ice cream with flavors like chicory and coffee and bayou mud. My seven-year-old daughter loved tasting the flavors and landing on chocolate in a waffle cone. this small, cute shop serves some tasty ice cream! we got the bayou mud, mona lisa, and the creme de citron. all 3 flavors were delicious but i loved the mona lisa the most, the lavender really comes through on that one. the creme de citron was a spontaneous pick that i ended up really enjoying - the lemon curd is refreshingly tart. the texture of the ice cream is creamy but also very solid and at times i felt like the plastic spoon would break - i enjoy that texture but just a headsup for those who prefer softer ice cream. the people at the shop were very nice and gave us some tips on where to go to eat and explore nola. definitely recommended! read more
