My 4 yr one picked this spot to wander into and we loved it! She wanted ice cream (go figure) but wandered into a store displaying candy apples lol. There were TONS of tasty treats to choose from. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and asked if we wanted any samples. I should've tried them, but I had eaten SOOOOO much while on vacation we declined. The store not only had multiple types of candy apples; they also have chocolate covered marshmallows (different toppings), chocolate covered Oreos, strawberries and a few other items, and most importantly icecream. For a store who wasn't specializing in ice cream there were a solid 10 flavors too choose from. My daughter had the oreo covered marshmallow and she said jt was AMAZING! She wishes we had something like this in Indy. I had a butter finger candy apple and it was scrumptious!! There was even some caramel on it which was a great surprise! And nice thick chewy caramel too. If you're a caramel eater you know what I mean. Mi Amor had a caramel pecan covered apple and he couldn't stop eating. If you're near the French Quarters área doubt a little shopping be sure to also stop into Mr Apple for a sweet treat. The male and female who run the shop are extremely nice and have great customer service with all that enter their shop. We tried a specialty Apple, the Oreo, and also purchased an Oreo BonBon. We wanted so badly to love both of the items we bought but unfortunately they both had very distinct aftertaste. The Oreo BonBon was very greasy inside as it appeared to have a lot of butter in it and was inedible by myself, kiddo and hubby. The owner of this company is so humble and takes great pride in his business. When we first came to the shop a few years ago we was impressed! They also offer shipping which is usually done on Mondays. What I like the most is this is a family owned business. The apples are so amazing and it's definitely a must try. My favorite apples are the Oreo, candy apples and the original Carmel apple . The also offer marshmallows and pecan candies. Miss Sharon is a wonderful soul and a great worker. While walking down the French Quarter today with the fam, I stumbled upon Mister Apple. After taking a peek through the door, I noticed that there was a very long line. With my curiosity peaked, I opened the door to see what the skinny was. Inside was a neat little sweets shop with specialty caramel apples, ice cream, snow cones, and various chocolate covered items. I had a sweet tooth, and also wanted to support local business, so I went to the back of the line to browse and wait. The line was not moving very fast, so there was plenty of time to decide. The wife decided on a butterfinger caramel apple; my daughter a snow cone; and myself a butterfinger covered marshmallow. The gentlemen made the snow cone while the nice lady, Julie, retrieved the other items for us. After some small talk, my wife asked if Julie could slice her apple. Julie laughed. She said she was just about to ask, and when my wife said yes, she was going to say, "no, this is not Burger King. You cannot have it your way." Then cut it and laugh. Julie, you prankster you. You rascal. Julie said I would love my delicious treat later when I got home. Also told me how much her grandson loved it just as much as I was going to. Julie kept us smiling and laughing, and we really enjoyed chatting with her more than we enjoyed our treats. It made the long wait in line a lot more bearable, and worth it. I highly recommend this little sweets shop. Furthermore, I want to extend a warm and heartfelt THANK YOU to Julie for being such a sweet lady, and for making this world more bright. Got the chocolate strawberry and the Oreo Bon Bon and the Oreo Bon Bon was amazing. Highly recommend it. It is a little pricey but is also good size. The strawberry was okay and definitely felt a lot for what you get. The other selection seemed nice, they also have ice cream. I haven't had a candle apple in decades. So when I read about it place and that they make fresh batches, it was destiny. It did take me 2 days to finish 1 candy apple. One thing that I am always cautious about is buying candy apple only to find the apple is rotten or the apple doesn't have the sweet/sour factor needed to pull off the magic. I need to know how I have never known about this place until two weeks ago!! It is probably a good thing if I am honest. I had the praline apple and I am quite certain it is the best thing in the world. THE WHOLE WORLD. It's on an unsuspecting corner behind Canal Place. You walk in and you see all of these gorgeous ginormous apples decorated in various flavors and the guy working was actually making an apple when we arrived. I don't think I have seen apples that big, so I may need to ask them where they get them - they are incredible! NOW, onto the praline apple. The flavor was delightful, the consistency was equally so. It was not dry and hard like the ones you get in the store; instead, it was gooey enough to let you know that it can be messy if you want it to be. Oh... it was so amazing!!! He even cut the apple and sliced it to make it easier to eat. I had intended to eat a few pieces at work and finish it at home. I ate the whole damn thing before I left the office. I have alway been a sucker for some delicious caramel apples. For me it's just the good ole fashion caramel with peanut. Nothing fancy. Mister Apple gave me that. The day I came in.. The weather almost melted my skin off. So I opted for a sugar cone with Blue Bunny black cherry 2 scoops ice cream. The girlfriends all opted for ice cream also but they got the waffle cones with the fancy toppings. I did come back the day I'm about to fly out to get an apple as a gift. We walked by Mister Apple in the French Quarter one night. It was almost closing time, but my son saw the beautiful looking caramel apples in the window, so he walked into the store and asked the lady if she was still open. She said, "yes! I am! How can I help you?" He told her that he wanted to try a regular caramel apple while I browsed around the shop. She asked him if he wanted the apple cut up. He said yes, so she cut it up for him and packaged it up nicely for him. He promised her he would come back again, especially if the apple was good!
