Not the most inviting ice cream shop in the Quarter, but it's one of the few with choices. One cooler of non-dairy iced and one cooler of dairy ice cream. No fancy flavors, but what they had was tasty. They are also VERY generous with their scoops, so beware! I saw another reviewer comment on the music. When we walked in, it wasn't the most family-friendly type of music, but the associate was good enough to change it. While the lady who helped us was nice enough, she wasn't necessarily the most welcoming. When it's between this and the national chain of super chocolates, it's not bad. read more

I felt really bad for the one employee I saw taking all the orders and preparing everything here at Waffle Time. How can a business with a steady stream of tourists foolishly have only one person working? If there was other coverage in the store, I did not see them. I was here for about 15 minutes and the entire time I saw the one poor employee doing it all. Just amazing how businesses can skimp on support. C'mon- with how many people were making their way through the line, surely they could've afforded to have a second and third employee. Even just for safety's sake it seemed like there should be more support. Anyways, the menu here is extensive. My friends' group wanted some ice cream at about 11am. Yup, 11am, so I wound up here. I ordered a Berry Smoothie. You could tell it was made fresh with real berries and Greek yogurt, but it was insanely sweet, thus negating any health benefit. I could only drink about a third of it before I had to give up. It was a shame because with tip, it was about $14. It was a welcome sight to see a place like Waffle Time where we could get ice cream and smoothies, but I felt like this is just a straight up tourist trap that runs on lean coverage, has sky-high prices and serves ridiculously over-sweetened food. read more

The fact that I am a victim of being raped and ex-employee of this company, after being wrongfully fired for not coming back the following day after the incident. Due to my safety being more important. WRONGFULLY TERMINATED. The family member of the rapist went inside and threatened my life to a coworker. The owner refused to speak about the threats bc it'll ruin the business. And I was forced to keep my mouth shut. NOT ANYMORE. And I wasn't allowed in the building, the rapist got out of jail and is allowed back inside the building and all sorts of things. The manager "Joe" is a piece of shit talks to the workers like we was dirt. Called us out our names, body shamed us, and allows the rapist inside the building since. The address is 829 canal street, I've been asking for my separation letter and check stubs and BRANDI THE GM refuses to provide me with my legal documents. James Allen Scott is a rapist. They allowing a rapist to be in a family established environment. Mind you I am MAKALA , the only person who got canal street from a 4.2 rating to where it is now. The reviews speak for themselves . Since I've been gone it has went to shit! There was one manager who WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON KANDICE ! I wish you the best Kandice. Stay who you are. read more

Wow, the desserts here are insane! A bubble waffle, wrapped around ice cream, and topped with Oreos... what an idea. I nearly finished it, debatably a poor decision, but what a fantastic dessert for my trip. The staff was super polite and the atmosphere was fun. read more

Five stars for this place! Every time I come here, I get something different and I love it! This place is so delicious and I love the different combinations of things you can make with their crêpes, bubble, waffles, ice cream, fruit, smoothies, and açai bowls! I most recently went and got the Dubai chocolate bubble waffle, which was an off menu item, every time I go, the employees working behind the counter are super sweet and friendly, and very helpful with their suggestions. They gave me half and half of vanilla and pistachio ice cream and they recommended the bubble waffle as opposed to the crate because it also came with the strawberries and was a bigger portion! I love this place, but definitely will be dangerous for my wallet given how close I am to it lol. I also had these strawberry Nutella Oreo crêpe, which was so delicious with the vanilla ice cream! I will definitely be coming here more often. read more

Went here for a mid day sweet treat and boy was it yummy! My friends and I went with the Oreo waffle which had vanilla ice cream, Oreos, M&M, and Nutella drizzle. We were all impressed with how creamy the ice cream was! The warm, crisp waffle was a great vessel for the delightful ice cream and toppings. They had a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from and everything seemed very customizable. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a delicious dessert in the French Quarter! read more

Let's jump right into it. This is a tourist spot. If you're from N.O. I would say try to show support but this not for the locals. The bubble waffle is cooked to order! The mix has absolutely no flavor! Just a plain & I mean plain waffle mix. All ice cream come with Nutella inside the waffle along with your ice cream. Yuck! If I would have known that I would have said no Nutella. I spent $13 on ice cream that I tossed in the trash before I even made it back to Decatur St. Now if you know where it's located and I tossed it in the trash by the time I made it to the corner that should you something. My friends also got ice cream in a bubble waffle. I'll post all pics below. Now to the customer service. Customer service should always be top priority along with the food. The cashier with the dreads never once picked her head up out her phone. I'm sorry but that is unprofessional. How did she take our order then, well she looked down and said "what can I get you" and then looked up just enough to type on the tablet for the order. The place was clean & the music mix was fire. read more

Overpriced dessert shop but nothing like it in the area that's walking distance, so decided to give it a try. The inside is very pretty, and they had a lot of holiday decorations up and a Christmas tree. There were 3 long white tables with jenga, as well as a high table area with bar stools. It was empty when we visited. The menu is a bit confusing and located very high up on the wall, so it's hard to see. The employees were not the most friendly, and they were a bit hesitant to answer our questions about size and ice cream flavor limits. We got the cookie dough ice cream- a scoop was $5 and imo was not worth it. The bubble waffle with the scoop of ice cream was overpriced too. The bubble waffle was chewy and warm though. It's surprising that an iced coffee or tea is $10; I've never seen such high prices. Overall, not really worth the price and does not have good service, but there's nothing like it around the area. read more

Service was horrible. Me and the wife wanted to order a Dubai crepe but they said the crepe machine wasn't working; so we said ok, can we order the Dubai cup without the strawberries, they said they can't remove an item or substitute an item because then it wouldn't be a Dubai cup, even though they are made in front of you from scratch. So my wife ordered a build your own with chocolate ice cream and they gave her vanilla and over charged us. read more

Absolutely amazing. The service is great. Their ice cream is unmatched. Sky and Brandi will take care of you EVERY time!!

Just came in with my family visiting from out of the country. The crepes were delicious and the customer service was excellent. The fruit was super fresh and crepes were thin and a perfect combination of soft with crispy edges. The owner was also in and he was delightful. The restaurant is new and clean. Will definitely be back! read more

Really good ice cream! Gave 3 stars because when we came in, the staff was very off putting. They did not say a SINGLE word to us, at all. The man and woman here just looked pissed off that we were there, like we had interrupted their day or something. Very odd behavior and completely unwelcoming. Maybe they're just having a bad day, who knows. I'd still come back for the ice cream though. Very tasty! read more

We stopped in on our last day in New Orleans. Great service, convenient location, good with kids.

If I could give negative star I would. I ordered a smoothie. Nobody seemed to remember my order. I waited 15 mins and inquired about it. The Cashier in the red braids said it's coming. Meanwhile no one was making it. Another 10 mins later. I asked again they still haven't started. When the smoothie finally came. It was not even cold. They simply don't even know how to make it. And it costed 11 dollars. If the workers over there aren't the owner. They give no shit about the shop. They are running it to the ground. The 20+ plus mins I was there, I saw the cashier rolled her eyes on costumer. Unless you are buying bottle drinks from them, don't go. read more

I got the banana Nutella waffle and thought it was delicious , but it was a big mess . When the waffle was handed to me it was dripping and leaking everywhere. It got all over my hands and the table . It was not hot so their was no reason for it to already be so melted. I found the price to be high but no higher than anything else in NOLA . While the food looks good in the photos, and it's pretty good to eat; employee attitudes ruin the experience. They messed up the toppings of my order and out chocolate chips instead of chocolate sprinkles; my teeth were not happy and I was looking forward to little chocolate bits of happiness sprinkled all over. But no... If the food item wasn't $13.50, with each topping costing $1.50, I wouldn't make a fuss. But if my total is nearing $20 for a desert and a drink, it should be made as their menu describes. But there was no forewarning they were out of sprinkles and assumed I'd be down with chips instead. Nah uh. Also, another employee was ranting and raving about wanting to fight someone while on the phone as I dined in. They should leave their personal business at home. I won't be coming back a second time. Womp womp. read more

Scoops are large, staff is friendly, restaurant is clean. We had the caramel brownie, white chocolate bread pudding, and mint chip. Each scoop is $6 and you can mix and match flavors. The ice cream was good but not great. They only have the boring ice cream comes or their own waffle cone, no stage cone, etc. I got a fairly small of cream for $4+change which is a bit pricey but we are in the French Quarter and i know the rent is outrageous. But still, I'm not sure I'd cone back. read more

Pretty overpriced for something so bland. My partner got the bubble waffle ($7) and a scoop of the creole cream cheese ice cream ($5)... they described it as "barely elevated vanilla" and the waffle was soooo bland and cold. i don't get the hype but at least there was no wait and plenty of seating at the park across the street. a bit of room to sit inside too but the music was pretty loud. read more

My husband and I were out celebrating my birthday on Saturday 4/21. I wanted to try some crepes. Only one young lady was doing all the work while the others were hiding in the back talking! I felt bad for her. The crepe was good with the Nutella and bananas. However, there are cinder blocks all on the tables a bit confusing and crowded. The blocks fell on my husband head as he tried to sit down. One of the workers in the back called my husband the N word. I will not be returning. Omg the waffles are so good a must try and bring your kids the ladies are so nice to kids and the boss is so nice they are a good team

There were 4 people in line in front of us. Ten minutes later they STILL had not got to us. Those 4 people were together. The guy working would take one of the orders, then finish that order completely, have them pay, then start another order. There were two people working but only ONE guy was making ONE waffle at a time. Not sure what the other guy was doing. They have multiple waffle makers, but the guy just stood there and waited for ONE waffle to cook. If they want to stay in business, they'll need.to be able to at least handle several orders at a time. Super stingy with the ice cream too. A "scoop" is literally one spoonful of ice cream. For $13 it's a complete rip off! Yep a waffle with a dab of ice cream is $13. read more
