If I could give 10 stars, I would! I love this place! Why are there not more alcohol coffee place in nola?! They sell an awesome - near perfect - Irish coffee that I always dream about. There is no reason not to come here and make this place popular. I don't think many people know about it. I have been about three times and there are maybe 2 or 3 other people inside. YOU NEED TO CHECK THEM OUT! They have regular coffee too. But they do not have a huge food list, it is mainly beignets - which are delicious and they make fun shapes out them to be festive - like stars for example. But who needs food, when you have alcohol coffee?! The staff are always kind and helpful. If you want to change anything up, they are more than happy to. And they make the presentation just beautiful as well. It is a great place for pre gaming prior to a meal or post gaming after a meal. They are connected to 4141 and it can be a little confusing trying to find the entrance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms are clean, there is a fun two seater table that has like a pac man game or something similar, and there are some leather chairs and couches to sit on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place is great and you know I will be back! read more

A quiet place to grab a quick bite. I've been here before and their beignets are pretty solid, the minis are great for kids. I got the frostbite today and wasn't impressed. It's supposed to be made with chicory and ice cream blended together but just tastes like watered down coffee. Not really creamy or thick at all. read more

Cute little coffee shop near our AirBnB. Nice coffees and tons of sugar on our beignets! The minis are just a perfect bite and they're crispy! We are used to the softer, pillowy versions, but these were great! Very good service and the clerk was nice. Definitely worth popping in as there is a lot of parking and we didn't feel rushed at all! read more

I used to come here years ago for beignets and because they had a loyalty program. I didn't realize they had changed their name (I'm not sure if they still honor the loyalty program either. Regardless, the beignets were fine, as expected however, the hot chai was terrible. I couldn't even finish it. after two sips, I wanted to return it and get a refund. It did not have the typical chai spices taste that is typical/would be expected. My sister ordered some other latte, and she said it wasn't good either. Also, there's a $1 charge for milk alternative, fyi. read more

Ooh the beignet place is back! But with a new name and a new menu. The beignet spot has been closed since Ida. Now that's its open, it's no longer a franchise of the not famous chain. So it's reinventing itself with pastries and all the fancy coffee drinks. Good news - it still has the mini beignets. But no longer has the chocolate ones... Which is fine honestly. The beignets are perfect, light fluffy and yummy. Bad news for me... No iced tea but maybe that will be available eventually. The drink menu is much larger than before with a legit barista working, making all the fancy coffee drinks. Service was great. The space is open with high ceilings. It's still a liitle sparse but they're getting there. The spa water was a lovely touch. read more

In NOLA on a beignets tour, lol. This was the first stop, off to a strong start. Soft, fluffy and loaded with powdered sugar so the kids are happy. The decor in here is nice the people were clean and polite. Oh and the coffee was pretty awesome read more

Just finished dinner at New Orleans Hamburger and seafood restaurant, food and service wasn't that great. The kids wanted beignets after dinner so we decided to get the beignet bites, they were terrible. They were crunchy and beignets should be soft fluffy and sweet. These aren't it. I feel like the young lady that prepared the order just refried some that were fried before. Please do better. read more

First trip to NOLA and of course you HAVE to get beignets! Everyone talks about Cafe Dumonde, everyone also talks about how long the wait is to get into Cafe Dumonde. Our AirBnB host recommended this place as the best beignets around... they did not disappoint!!! No lines, huge parking lot, get beignets! We personally like the beignet bits, but 3 full size or 12 bites for $4 is a no-brainer. Its a cool little coffee shop, lots of local art, and of course fantastic beignets!! read more

I happened to pass by this place when I parked for The Chloe and I planned to visit after my appointment. This is a cute hidden cafe with an awesome coffee selection. I got my favorite- cold brew and this place does a great one! Nice and rich and they added the perfect amount of cream for me. This spot is bit hidden, but it's worth seeking out! read more

I've gone here twice now for work meetings with clients and it's great! Nice atmosphere, staff and other patrons are always friendly. I had an iced latte the first time and it was pretty good, but I got an iced Vietnamese coffee my second time and it. Was. Fabulous! Definitely need to try the beignets next time read more

A+++ Only thing I would add is some signage on St. Charles to indicate that the coffee shop is open around the corner. Even following gps I almost missed it. We saw the sign on St. Charles when we were on the streetcar the other night and didn't remember where it was this morning so walked and walked and walked...and found it! It's behind the restaurant that fronts St. Charles so walk down the side street and you'll find it! So glad we did!! Didn't realize this was a different place from the previous tenant (New Orleans Coffee & Beignet, which closed). Unfortunately, the beignets here should be called fried biscuits. You would get similar satisfaction from dipping scoops of Bisquick into hot oil. Heavy and dry. No longer worth the stop. read more

If there were some Fats Domino or 90s R&B flowing out of speakers and staff were smiling, upbeat, dancing etc. it would give more "legendary" experience verses midnight diner vibe. That alone made me not want to come back. Not everyone wants to drink alcohol so stopping to sit for a well made artistic milkshake is a great option. The energy brings down the vibe and experience. We ordered one crab beignet each and grabbed a table nearby. The crab lumps inside were super tender and savory, I loved every single bite of it! I thought it was flavorful enough without the sauce so i didn't add much of it but my friends really liked the sauce as well. I wish the beignet itself was a bit more fluffy but I could eat the crab filling all day. Would definitely come back again!

The place is very simple inside, not a ton of tables but that adds to the simple feel. They did have a garbage bin that was overflowing which took away from the look. But the ladies behind the counter were pretty busy. I got a triple chocolate brownie and an affogato with the espresso ice cream. The affogato was a good serving size but it was a struggle to eat. The satisfying taste I associate with affogato wasn't there and the Gelato just wasn't smooth. The brownie was okay, I was expecting something more decadent. Serving: You order at the counter. Drinks: Basically beverage options. Seating: There's some seating inside and outside. Pets: You're good outside. Parking: Street parking.

I like the old school vibes, but it's a pain and cost me more money to get cash. 2. At least ask the homeless dude to leave....I'm trying to eat and he's 6 feet from my family and tweaking out. It's your property, you CAN ask them to leave. It's a lack of interest by the business. Other than that, I had a fantastic time. 100% recommend.

I cook a lot of both at home--I'm someone who is dedicated enough to my Louisiana cooking to order Steen's syrup from Louisiana to my Florida doorstep even though Florida makes perfectly good cane syrup in its own right. (Side note: any New Orleans restaurant you venture to serving pain perdu with maple syrup and not Steen's--ask what the hell they're even doing.) Like most worthwhile restaurants, the menu here changes up. The specials as well as their famous sandwiches seem the way to go and I got the fried shrimp with bread and butter pickles. Exceptional--a small amount, it may have even been a starter but regardless was perfect for me. The sandwiches other diners had on their plates were large and looked delicious just glancing around at other tables. Everything comes up fast and the atmosphere is . . . just ideally New Orleans. It feels all the way "working CBD lunch" yet unhurried, a reflection of Cochon's greatness but scaled down and with utterly no pretense. There's simply a real sense of both care and expertise in everything done here no matter how simple or complex. Beyond all else, they're doing what they love here with no scaling back or dressing up to make it anything else. A winner through and through.

The flavor profile on the catfish-perfection! The grits-creamy! The biscuit-divine! The egg whites- delicious Added a cup of coffee to it and I'm still on cloud 9!
