Coffee shop is a vibe! Staff is nice. They have a full menu and not just pastries! Seating in both the front and back. It's a solid environment here. Definitely made its way to my list. Music was good too & not too loud either. The food (flatbreads) were super good & the coffee was tasty! I'll be back.

Good coffee. Very tasty and the place has a nice, homey ambience. They didn't have almond milk so I got coconut in my decaf iced latte. Had a lot of good flavor for a decaf... didn't have the usual nasty decaf aftertaste which I appreciate. Pretty large for a small too!

Undergrowth Coffee is a coffee shop with such great vibes! They have both in door and outdoor seating and it's a great place to do work. They also have a great selection of eats and drinks and highly recommend to stop any time your on Magazine Street!

We were next door saw this coffee shop and decided to give it a try. It's a little coffee shop so the counter is right there. There's only a few tables. I ordered ice salted caramel latte. I told the girl who was making it that I like mine on the sweeter side. She made my coffee right away. My coffee was perfect not overly sweet. Definitely a 5 star and great customer service.

Cozy and you can find a quiet space. Breakfasts foods are great and the baked goods are, well, baked fresh on site.l! Pricing is reasonable and the staff is caring.

A lovely small little coffee shop. Visiting from out of state and love trying to local coffee shops. Got a few drinks and brunch items. They do have a vegan burrito, bowl and one more item I believe. Three (?) non dairy milk options which is plus. My matcha was okay, just think I forgot to add flavoring to it. Enjoyed my burrito. The workers were super friendly and answered our questions in a kindly matter, which is always appreciated. Would come back and try out the other drinks.

I love their new back porch area. It's so lovely in the morning. I also recently tried their egg cheese on flatbread that intrigued me and really enjoyed it!

It's a coffee shop. Was expecting more for food options but their drinks were good. Kid friendly and friendly staff. Definitely felt comfortable there and recommended it.

Coffee made with love, cappuccino was great. They also have local products including home made kombucha by South Eden which is made from local Louisiana sugar cane. We had the hibiscus ginger which was basically a kombucha mixed with sorrel (Caribbean spiced hibiscus tea), so good. Cute low key coffee shop, be sure to check out the local events calendar on their wall.

On the strip of Magazine St near Napoleon Ave, sits this euphoric coffee and breakfast shop. I had gone here to do some web surfing. There's lots of walking traffic along Magazine so you'll meet lots of people. I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I opted for the Chai Tea (on ice), which was really good. They also have a full service kitchen in the back. Ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese Flatbread; very tasty and light. The back of the shop has seating for outdoor use. It has greenery, led string lights and some cool art. Lol The staff was generous and always kept a smile. Definitely will be returning.

A newish and smallish cafe near a major intersection. I was in a hurry and my things were ready quickly. A chai latte had a subtle and slightly astringent flavor with minimal sweetness. More of a treat was a heated almond croissant. Neither really blew me away, but what was notable was the range of vegan options the place offered, which would be worth looking into for someone with more time to devote to breakfast.

    Fall flavors available. Yum!

So excited to have a great coffee shop back in this location! I stopped in today after hearing from a neighbor that Undergrowth Coffee had taken over the space after Hey! Cafe left. Walking in I loved what Undergrowth did to the place. The green paint gives it an airy and welcoming vibe that it didn't have previously. I grabbed an iced latte and hubby grabbed a regular drip coffee. Loved my iced latte. It was smooth and delicious. Hubby enjoyed his plain drip too. Happened to notice that they have some delicious sounding seasonal flavors on their outdoor menu board. Wish I'd noticed them before ordering my standard iced latte but gives me an excuse to have to go back! :) Another great thing about this spot is that the pastries are delicious! I highly recommend the financier, although if you plan to share with a friend or spouse, be sure to get two...you'll want one all for yourself. I agreed to share with hubby but actually didn't want to share any of it after taking the first bite. We also got a blueberry scone and the scone was just the right texture and had a plentiful amount of blueberries!! I typically don't enjoy scones because they are dry and too crunchy but this was a bit on the softer side and has forever changed my opinion on scones - they can be good! LOL The barista was super pleasant and provided the password to the wifi. We also took a moment to enjoy the delightfully nice fall NOLA weather in the cute pink outdoor tables. Oh and if you're a regular to the Uptown area, you may recognize the gentleman known as "Twitchy" as a regular out front. He's been at the one of the pink cafe tables every morning this week. He's pleasant to talk to and always appreciates a free cup of coffee. Definitely pop in and support this local biz!

Now let's talk about breakfast: Weekday around lunch. About 1/4 of seats taken. As best I could tell, 2 or 3 servers. Coffee, OJ and soda brought promptly after ordering. FYI - drinks reasonably priced. I opted for Spinach & Swiss omelette, hash browns well done and biscuit. He opted for Meatlover's omelette, hash browns and toast. 25 minutes later breakfast was served. Husband's order was fine: tasty omelette, and the toast was well buttered. Mine? The Swiss was sticking out of the omelette and it was a slice not melted. The cheese inside the omelette was melted, and overall it had good flavor. The hash browns had good flavor, but they were not well done. The biscuit was not buttered - there was butter on the table - and it was nice and dense to support slathering it in jelly. The waitress checked on us a couple of times. I made no comment whether it was good or bad, because I was going to eat it anyway. As a general rule I don't send things back, and in this instance given the time it took to get it, I was starved and certainly wasn't sending it back. Leftovers box and checkout was super quick. This experience: 2 stars; averaging to 4 stars for restaurant overall. Will continue to use for pastries, but won't be back for another sit down experience.

The first drink I tried was excellent--a pumpkin spice latte with coconut or oat milk, I don't remember. The spices were on point and it was nice and frothy and perfectly sweet. Worst cafe coffee I've bought in many a moon--and it was over 7 dollars for a small! It was burnt... noticeably so. Maybe no one buys enough decaf to warrant a fresh pot more than once a day, but please, for the love of God, don't serve it if the carbon has reached these levels. I couldn't even drink it. I took two sips and chucked it. Hopefully they'll eventually convince me, because it's such a cute spot and so close to home, but as of now I'm still luke warm about it.

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
