This coffee shop is so cute and cozy. I stopped by to do some work and got a nice window table. I was helped by August and he is so amazing! We talked a bit and he made sure I was taken care of while I was here. Everything was delicious and this was my first time trying Ube in my coffee. It was a deliciously unique experience. Working from Cherry Coffee Roasters was so peaceful and welcoming, I look forward to going back.

Superb coffee

When first I sipped my perfectly crafted latte, I was instantly transported back - way back - to a time when coffee held such flavor and aroma it could stop you in your tracks, and I thought, "Yes! I have finally found you!" The joy & heaven in that one sip would have been worth the full price of a cup of coffee. These folks take their coffee very seriously. They aren't just making money here... they are making people happy! Bonus points for top-of-class service and subdued ambiance which invites quiet contemplation. And, bonus, for those cutting back on caffeine but who love the flavor of coffee, they use the Swiss water method - not the chemicals to extract the caffeine. All these elements add up to make Cherry Coffee Roasters my favorite coffee shop.

We stopped by because we heard that they have amazing coffee, it turns out that they do! Really nice people working the counter, and have plenty of great suggestions on what to order here. The chai latte is fantastic. Black coffee is on point. The atmosphere is very chill. I love seeing in the back huge bags of beans right from Honduras. It was also very neat seeing a local artist hang up some new artwork. Overall a nice and chill experience.

I was wondering around the WB with Re and she suggested we go "to the candy store." I was confused…read morebecause it was already after 8pm and what would be open? Royal Roastery that's who! This unassuming spot in a strip mall was gorgeous inside. And it serves coffee, pastries, ice cream plus y'know candy. AND they roast their own nuts, spices and I guess coffee beans. There were definitely folks hanging out and enjoying a Turkish style coffee... I guess either the caffeine doesn't hit them the way it does me or they had no plans to sleep. The candy isn't labeled 100% correctly but you kind of know that gummy worms are not gummy strawberries. I tried an assortment bag of gummies and some of chocolates and the price was by the pound. Re got some freshly roasted unsalted cashews and they were delicious! Parking is easy in the strip mall lot. And as you step in you definitely leave Louisiana and step into another country.

They also carry some gummy and chocolate varieties, some spices, some boxed coffee, some Middle Eastern pastries. Only some things were labeled with either what it was or the price of it, so that was a little disorienting. I was surprised to find a cafe and gelato bar inside. The gelato flavors were incredible. I settled on popcorn caramel and baklava in a waffle bowl. An employee said that everything was made in-house. The price was standard considering that all was made there. The service was weird. I kept getting served after people who'd gotten there after me. My ice cream scoops were significantly smaller than my boyfriend's. Returning isn't high on my list of priorities, but I'm glad I tried them.

Coast Roast has the best iced coffee I have ever had in 63 years!…read more It's not a bargain, at over $6 for a large 24 oz one. But, it is the only iced coffee that I dream about! Seriously. I get one every time I am in the neighborhood. Lots of on-street parking and the service and ambiance of St. Roch Market is phenomenal. Highly recommended.

Still can't quite believe it, just how truly good this coffee was. Don't look to get anything else besides the vanilla cream cold brew, or you will miss out on the experience of a lifetime. Seriously, even if you aren't a sweet fan (I don't like super sweet coffee), this cold brew is so exquisite that it is sweet, yes, but in the way where it perfectly compliments your tastebuds with some sugary vanilla without going over the top, still letting the espresso take the spotlight. Even just the presentation of the dark roast coffee with the cream slowly dispersing into the deeps is so mesmerizing (see video/ pics if not understanding). One person in my party in specific had been to Coast Roast dozens of times before just to have this cold brew. He said anytime they return to New Orlaeans this is a must stop and they will bc one at least once a day every day they are in town. I didn't think there was any chance a coffee could stand up to hype like that. Also, I don't typically like cold brew anyways, so I was pretty unconvinced. Let me be the first to admit I was WRONG. I took one sip and was transported to a land of soft, billowing clouds, pink skies and coffee waterfalls (cold brew, specifically). Wow. I have dreamt of this coffee at least every week since I have been and the daydreams will continue until I can come back. It looks like I'll be stopping there every chance I get too, from now on.
