Fantastic local spot. Amazing coffee, great food, and lovely staff!! Plenty of space too. We were able to get a good seat and hang out for a little bit with our luggage before heading to the airport

So the first couple of times they were on vacation but when I finally had brunch there, we were very happy. Lots of free parking in a cool, but not overrun area. Two of the barista/cashiers are very kind. Good menu esp for a place with no cooking. Great mix of coffee, tea and a few grown up drinks. Siphoned coffee, in house roasted and delicious. Beautiful decor with exposed brick, seating in and out. New Orleans Indians descendants' are the photo gallery, although no photographer is given credit. What could be improved: bathroom wasn't super clean, one terse counter girl. Next, the food pick up area is cluttered with condiments, water spigot, plastic wear, some silverware, terrible paper towels but no napkins. This is also where recycling, trash, dish bin, compost, reside and we noticed most tables were not clean; it's a lot of small messes--and not in a cool way. Still go, the wifi is strong, there's a choice of super comfy and cool seating of couches, tables, bar and lots of plugs.

Cherry Espresso Bar is located inside a building that is more than 100 years old. New Orleans coffee shops are often special places and this is another unique spot to enjoy your coffee and tea. This location next to Wisner Park was previously the old Laurel Street Fire Station and then it later served as a New Orleans Recreation Department Community Center before the city auctioned it off which led to us being able to enjoy some great coffee at Cherry Espresso Bar. They serve some great coffee, tea and other tasty beverages along with a selection of baked goods. This is a great spot to enjoy your caffeine and it has a good variety of seating options both inside and outside. When you find yourself in the mood for some tasty hot beverages you should check this place out. My video review of Cherry Espresso Bar is here: https://youtu.be/iV1AQiz7wc8

Espresso is good but the owner or manager needs some training in hospitality. The younger help are so much nicer.

She provided great service and awesome recommendations from drinks, apps and eats! Her personality was very pleasant and sweet. She was attentive but not overwhelming at all. Both Aurry and Joel contributed to the overall experience making it great. The FOOD was a HIT. Everything ordered was presented beautifully and delicious!!! The executive chef is definitely cooking very very well!!! We loved the Blue Crab Ragoon App as well as the Crab Cakes. There was nothing left on the plates. For entrées we had Banana Foster Pain Perdu, Side of Duck Bacon, Hashbrown, 100% Seafood Gumbo and Fried Catfish. Everything was seasoned to perfection and hot!!! Last but definitely not least are the Cocktails which were very good. Try the Cold Brew Martini if you like iced coffee type drinks and also try the Strawberry Lemon drop for a sweet treat. Both taste great and have a nice amount of spirits in them. This is a must try in NOLA. Will definitely return!!

Both were outstanding. The Bananas Foster French Toast was rich, indulgent, and packed with flavor without being overwhelmingly sweet. The bananas and sauce were the perfect complement to the French toast, making it feel like a New Orleans dessert and breakfast all in one. The Boudin Breakfast Biscuit was equally impressive. The biscuit was fresh and flaky, and the boudin added a delicious Cajun flavor that set it apart from a typical breakfast sausage. Every bite was savory, satisfying, and uniquely Louisiana. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it's easy to see why Surrey's has such a loyal following. If you're visiting New Orleans and looking for a memorable breakfast, put this place on your list. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

I didn't mind at all waiting outside because it was such a beautiful day, and it was just great being in New Orleans. I will say the food was astronomically delicious. If I could provide a 10 rating, I definitely would. From the French toast made with the po' boy bread to the shrimp and grits and the crab omelette, my taste buds were so happy. This place is a true gem. I can't wait to come back and try more. Such a great experience.

It has retro vibes, and I loved how the outside looked. The inside was just as cute, with 80s toys lining the walls. There was ample seating. The staff was very friendly and helped me pick out what I would like to order. I went with the spicy chicken biscuit and a side of hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were very crispy and seasoned well, so I loved them, as soggy hashbrowns are a major pet peeve of mine. The chicken biscuit was good, but I'm not 100% sure it was to my taste. It was massive and very hard to eat, and there was a lot of fried chicken skin. The mayo on the sandwich was definitely homemade and had a very strong egg flavor, so I would go without that next time. The biscuit was probably the best biscuit I've ever had. As a California girl, I think the flavors might have just been a little too strong for me, but still a great spot to stop by.

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (one being only 2 years old), and because of that they changed our table type from a 4-top to a 5-top and made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Meanwhile, multiple tables became available that easily could have accommodated us, but the hostess was determined to keep telling us we had to wait. To make matters worse, there was open bench seating in the back where customers ordering to-go could sit. I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service experience.
