I live in the neighborhood. I don't go to cafes nearly as often as I should, let alone this one. But I've started to pop by more often because their food is low-key one of the cheapest and tastiest breakfast options in the neighborhood. Grits, burritos, potatoes, bagels. Their coffee is really good, plus they always have good doughnuts. The people who work here are cool. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a sort of a Bohemian, 1970s cafe vibe going on both inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's usually a clothing rack with items for sale from a local vendor. I wouldn't be surprised if I walked in to the sounds of a slightly off-kilter personality playing acoustic guitar with a tip jar, though that's never been the case. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's definitely not a tourist place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]In fact, there have been multiple occasions where I felt like I got out of here just in time before I had to interact with someone completely unhinged.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But that's par for the course in New Orleans, baby. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In that respect, this is a very good New Orleans place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

BEST BREAKFAST BURRITOS IN NEW ORLEANS. Ingredients are fresh, staff is friendly and polite. What more could you ask for? I don't know, but they'd probably have that too.

Iced mocha....crazy delicious cold or hot!!!

New Orleans is known for excellence in a lot of things, including coffee....Saint Coffee is no exception to this excellence! I have had iced mocha in a large number of coffee shops, but this mocha was EXCEPTIONAL!!!! Creamy, sweet without adding any sweetener and chocolatey to the last bit in the cup. Folks, just go in and ask for a large cup of deliciousness....ask for hot or cold, depending on your liking!! I WILL return for another one tomorrow....yeah, I'm hooked!

Feeling lucky this was the first meal of my trip to Nola. Great breakfast options including bagels, burritos, breakfast sandwiches and my favorite, grit bowls. For $5.50, I couldn't turn it town. Despite inflation it seems the prices have seemed steady over the year but you couldn't tell by quality - the food was made with love. The sautéed onions and peppers, the best cheese grits I've had in a long time. All milk and cream types including oat milk available at the bar. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in their massive yard. Check out their vintage rack, really nice variety of stuff at a great price and profits go to charity. Everyone here seems to go above and beyond, I'd be here every day if I lived nearby!!!

I am updating my review to reflect the new (to me) awesome courtyard and my new go to summer refresher, the red drink (rooibos tea with hibiscus).

The bacon burrito and the medium sized latte with lavender flavoring.

This place is SOOOOOOO YUMMY! If you are looking for a perfect breakfast to start your morning off right COME HERE. I loved the lavender flavor with the latte and I had an awesome bacon burrito. This place is AWESOME!

Fantastic outdoor seating, one of the best ive seen in New Orleans. And I'm in love with their coffee. I enjoy a smooth cup with no aftertaste, and thats what you get here. And they have a everything bagel with cream cheese, which is as close to New York as they come. Cool spot!

Sorry to hear this very small but really cool artsy coffee joint has closed. RIP Saint Coffee on St Claude. Guess it's better to be a sinner than a saint in Nola.

Ambiance is amazing but also not so much lol. We had a shirtless and homeless drug addict next to us for about 3 minutes and no one seemed concerned enough to ask him to leave. He had been talking to his imaginary friend. Just wanting to enjoy breakfast, I did have a fun topic to explain to my kids. The bennys were delicious like I said. Hot and ready to eat. It was worth the walk! YOU NEED CASH!!!! They have an ATM there but it's still an inconvenience. I'm going to leave a 4 star for 2 reasons. 1. It's 2026....take cards lol. I like the old school vibes, but it's a pain and cost me more money to get cash. 2. At least ask the homeless dude to leave....I'm trying to eat and he's 6 feet from my family and tweaking out. It's your property, you CAN ask them to leave. It's a lack of interest by the business. Other than that, I had a fantastic time. 100% recommend.

If you are looking to avoid Starbucks or French Truck for your coffee fix and want something that is much locally based, Fourth Wall will fit the bill. The cold brew is wicked strong like much stronger than what I order normally at Starbucks. The iced London Fog lattes I discovered are premade, which overall my wife thought was alright, but she liked that they had gluten free blueberry muffins. The chocolate croissant was solid. The service was prompt and friendly. And the decor had a rustic ambiance with the brick walls, dark book shelving and garden patio in the back. The coffee bar has a hidden quality about it that is alluring and appealing. It was good to check out before we concluded our recent stay in NOLA.

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
