BEST PLACE TO EAT AFTER A NIGHT OF FESTIVITIES! Saturday rising about 10am it was packed and the line was worth every minute of the wait! It took roughly 15 minutes to order and the atmosphere felt like grandma's house! The outside area felt like we were eating in the garden! You could smell basil, mint, thyme and the sounds of the chimes were refreshing while eating! I'm glad that I found this spot! The Honey Lavender Latte was very refreshing and went well with my meal. Every time I'm in New Orleans, I'm going to make sure I eat here at least one of the days. 10 out of 10 highly recommend. read more

I always love stopping by here because the staff is always positive and welcoming. I've had breakfast and lunch here and it's always good. Been as recently as this month (May 2026). Highly recommend. Seen this place on our drive to find dinner the night before. I was intrigued by their outdoor garden patio area. And they have coffee!! They open at 6am almost every day! I read some good reviews and we went about 8:30A. Wasn't too busy just the right amount of foot traffic. They are very welcoming upon arrival. Not sure where I read someone said they had a little encounter with a cashier. Maybe they misunderstood them? Idk but we didn't pick up any "attitudes " I was super excited to try these so called buttermilk drops that folks were ranting about. Idk I just couldn't put my tastebuds on what was throwing me off about it. I split one with my husband and even he wasn't too impressed. And he's not the picky eater, as I am. I did enjoy the sunrise muffin. They offer to have it warmed up if you decide to eat in. Which I did and was glad we did. We went to enjoy our coffee and pastries in the garden area. Very calming and peaceful. Not to mention I love how the folks that run this place own a church and some of their proceeds help fund sobriety housing. The honey lavender latte is good. Locally owned by a Church, Pontilly Coffee is a wonderful coffee breakfast spot. It's a busy spot and inside is loud, but there's plenty of seating outside including a beautiful garden spot that is also available to rent for special occasions. I had the iced White Mocha and it was delicious. There's so many baked goods that's it was hard to choose so we picked the Buttermilk Drop and Iced Apple Turnover. Both were so moist and light. The Turnover melted in my mouth and had a delicious apple filling. The Buttermilk drop did remind me a bit of McKenzies back in the day. I've seen reviews about a bit of rudeness from the cashier but we didn't have any issues. We will definitely be making this a go to Sunday morning spot and am looking forward to trying other things. read more

The lady that took out was rude to both my friend and I as well as the couple in front of us. I had never been here before even though it was super close to my aunt's house that we visit often. However, I got the best caramel frappe I have ever tasted. The colache was also delicious. My friend got the buttermilk drops and a sausage egg & cheese biscuit and they were both Devine. I got the Crawfish NOLA-CHE and the buttermilk drop donut. Crawfish Nola-Che is very flavorful and cheesy and the buttermilk donut is like a tennis ball size donut hole. Breakfast sandwich: 9/10; I had the breakfast sausage, egg and cheese on croissant. OMG! It was off the chain, and reminded me of the sausage/egg/cheese McMuffin from McDonald's. The sausage and egg were well seasoned. I initially thought the croissant was on the smaller side, but at $4.50, it was fair. Service: Service was good. Excellent experience every visit. My go to favorites are anything on the breakfast menu, the smoked turkey salad and of course their coffee.

Pontilly outside area is covered with outdoor fans. Every seating area was spacious and roomy The atmosphere is great, and the staff is friendly and respectful. I'm looking forward to the juice bar that will soon open next door. I've tested some of their juices, and I thought they were fairly nice. I paid $6 for a medium iced mocha matcha. Didn't try any of the food but it looked amazing:) great place to study ! 10/10 recommended!!! read more
