Seated promptly, waitress was right over to get our drink order. Wife had blueberry pancakes with scrambled eggs with cheese. I had the Fleur De Lis omelette which is a crawfish omelette. Both were very good and good portions. The coffee was a little bit too strong for me but not undrinkabe. Very simple decor, server was extremely polite. Good value for the price.
Because of our party size (6), brunch here was a 45 minute wait. They texted us when our table for 6 was available. We all were good and hungry by then. The food was delicious and the service was fast. Nothing extraordinary about the space. Simple and clean. That's top tier for me.

Cafe Fleur De Lis was near closing time, but the staff still gave exceptional service. One of the servers overheard me mention a street vendor i wan ted to grab something from and actually saw the vendor while i was eating and i was able to go grab few things. I sincerely appreciate him. The food was very average breakfast food to be honest. My shrimp and grits weren't my favorite. I dislike cheesy grits and they add sour cream and cheese. My dirty chair was gross and I didn't finish it. This place only offers pork which is unfortunate.
I stopped by Cafe Fleur De Lis on my last morning in NOLA. I'm really glad I did! There is a large bar with open seating so it's perfect if you don't have a reservation. I had a cappuccino and a crab cake eggs Benedict with grits. The crab cakes were flaky and crispy. The eggs were poached to perfection. The bar tender was cordial and chatting with guests while he made drinks and coffees. As a bonus, for anyone with an interest in Roman Catholic history, the building is the first residence of the Ursuline nuns when they immigrated from France in 1727
The service was great. I do wish they used slab bacon on the po boy. It needs something meatier. They could also add more pickles and aioli. I would come back and try something else.
Kinda touristy, but still solid. Clean and great service right in the French Quarter. I had the sampler meal, which hit the spot and was certainly mild (but great flavor!). It's a good spot to show someone the most basic of cajun/southern cuisine.

The seafood part of it just didn't taste the freshest but everything else was great. Egg was poached perfectly and cheese grits were great. I think if I'd have ordered something else on the menu it would be 5 stars. Bloody Mary I got was also great along with the pickled okra and green beans that come with it.

Our goal every year is to find somewhere new, and Cafe FDL definitely fit the bill this year. There is quaint seating on the first and second floor, and it feels like there's not going to be enough room, but the wait isn't bad. The service was quick and attentive, and the food was hot and filling. The alcohol was... alcohol. What's there to say about that? Price wise, it was reasonable, and it was filling enough that I wasn't hungry when I left, nor was I ill-prepared for any shenanigans that the say might bring. Definitely a solid choice for breakfast in the Quarter. Not fancy, but filling!
Checked this place out for breakfast bright and early at 7am! Good option for the early morning. Service was quick and helpful. The inside gave a cozy diner feel to me. Lots of breakfast items looked tasty with a southern twist. I tried the eggs Benedict with hash browns and got a hot latte. The latte was super smooth and delicious. The eggs were poached perfectly and the hash browns were nice and crispy. The grits were really creamy and yummy too, just too heavy for me to finish it all. Solid breakfast options for early birds!

We don't make reservations but they out our name down and sent us a text when our seats were ready. You have to check in within 5 mins of receiving the text message. We sat on the balcony with a nice little view of French Quarters. Our waitress was kind and helpful when it came to deciding what I wanted. I ordered: The Fleur de Lis omelette 5/5 Side of grits 10/5 Iced coffee 1/5 My husband ordered the Bourbon Street Breakfast Platter comes with a shot of jack daniels. Super sweet. I wasn't a fan, but my husband loved it. It was pecan and bananas pancakes. On our last morning we went back and each ordered the grits. We got a lot more to go for a side order. Came in a nice to go container. Overall, I'd be back! Until next time.
We tried to walk-in to a couple of breakfast restaurants and we needed reservations for both. We kept walking and found this great place. The wait was only 20ish minutes. Once we were sat, our waitress was attentive and very friendly. She took our drink order quickly and kept refilling coffee. We both ordered seafood benedicts with a side of bacon. The bennys were absolutely delicious. The side of bacon was insane!! so much bacon! Definitely try this breakfast place in the FQ!
We initially went to this location looking for the Banana Fosters Beignets. However it will be at the "Camp St." . This is the "Chartres St." location which will have a different menu. We ordered an Avocado Bowl, and Biscuits and Gravy. They were both good! Nothing too special about them. Avocado bowl is more like a salad topped with avocado. Biscuits were soft and gravy was light! I am such a gravy girl. The service was good. Staff was friendly. We were sat immediately. Our busser was so sweet and nice. He was so fast to clear our dishes. However it did take a while to get our bill. The place is like a cute breakfast dinner. There was a second floor option, but we didn't get to explore because 2nd floor is outside and it was humid that day. In conclusion, a good breakfast spot. However, I much prefer the "Camp St." location over this one. read more

After all the alcohol yesterday, I needed something good! Never had a fried grit cake before so I ordered that and the avocado bowl! Holy hell! Couldn't finish either but the grit cake is so freaking good! Get it for the table! Your taste buds will thank you! The bowl of salad is a good start to the day because I know I'm going to eat bad later! Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food!!!! read more

The service was excellent. Staff were pleasant and friendly. But the food was just okay. Nothing was tasty or seasoned with Cajun spices. We had a simple cheese grits with andouille sausage and fried eggs and hot buttered biscuits. read more

Oh man, this was the highlight of my visit. It was amazing. Best grits I ever had, catfish perfectly cooked. Very clean, nice lighting and great customer service. It was a vibe but the food was the star of the show for sure. read more

As soon as we walked in we were asked if we wanted patio or indoors which was nice that we had a say in that. We were immediately seated and given a minute to go over the menu. Our server was friendly and definitely knew her menu & her suggestions were 10/10! The portions were just right as we had an appetite. I told my boyfriend if I could have licked my plate clean I sure would have!! That's how good this place was. If you're looking for a nice brunch place this is where it's at! :) read more

Breakfast foods are always delicious, and I found this place on social media to try out during my NOLA stay. I got the eggs benedict, I just like eggs on the runnier side, but the egg just boiled. Nevertheless, everything was filling and satisfying! read more
Cool breakfast experience for us. We were lucky enough to get balcony seating overlooking the street. Kinda reminded me of dining in certain parts of Europe. The balcony itself is quite long compared to what you expect to see in Europe, of course. The main highlight for us remained the food. We ordered fried green tomatoes, which was the first here to actually be vegetarian. This reminded me of what we ate in Charleston earlier in the summer. Super yummy. Loved the aioli dip, which had a bit of a kick to it. I also got the avocado omelet. It was very hearty. Maybe a bit too much, which I attribute to the goat cheese. I decided to get some hash browns to split with my girl. Those were pretty good. Just loved the overall ambiance, I def recommend. read more
Sunday morning, sat at the bar. Friendly bartender. Chicory coffee, beignets. Coffee not hot, bartender made a fresh pot and all was well. Beignets seemed like biscuits with powdered sugar, but quite tasty. Followed up with Oyster Benedict and grits. Oh my! Every bite was amazing. I wanted to lick the plate! I went to Café Fleur de Lis for brunch, and unfortunately, the experience was very unsettling from the moment we walked in. As we walked upstairs, we were immediately hit with a strong smell of oysters mixed with what smelled like a public restroom. It was honestly very unpleasant and made us question whether we should stay. We felt bad leaving, so we decided to stay and simply share one meal. The food itself wasn't necessarily terrible, but the overall atmosphere and presentation of the restaurant made it difficult to enjoy. The smells, cleanliness, and general condition of the space really took away from the experience. I also went to use the restroom, and unfortunately, that only added to the discomfort. The bathroom was visibly unclean and had a very unpleasant atmosphere. At that point, I was already feeling pretty unsettled about the overall experience. I do want to make it clear that I understand the server is not responsible for the food, cleanliness, or overall condition of the restaurant. I actually intended to leave a 20% tip if the service was good because I don't believe servers should be penalized for things outside of their control. However, toward the end of the meal, our server came to the table and asked who was paying, and then followed up by asking, "Would whoever's paying want to leave a tip?" We ended up leaving $10 on a $17 meal, which is well over 20%, because we genuinely did feel bad that the environment wasn't her fault. However, that final comment was unnecessary and left an even worse impression of the experience. Overall, the service wasn't the main issue. It was the combination of the smells, cleanliness, atmosphere, presentation, and the way the experience ended that made me feel like I would not want to return. I really wanted to enjoy the experience, but unfortunately, I left feeling unsettled rather than satisfied. read more
They have plenty of tables inside and out. We came here around 9 am on a Saturday and we're seated on the patio right away. They have a decent menu, something for everyone. My third time to New Orleans. First time eating here. Service was fast and fabulous. Drip coffee could use some work, but the food was amazing. I ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of cheese grits, and my daughter ordered chocolate chip pancakes. Everything came out fast and the grits was the best thing I've ever eaten. Our service was top-notch. We ran in during a huge rainstorm. The server gave us towels to dry off with. Our food came quickly and was steaming hot. Shrimp and grits were my fav plate during my short stay in the area. Amazing texture on the grits (not too runny) and flavorful. The shrimp were covered in a delicious sauce and cooked perfectly. Super cute place and they have an option to sit outside on the upstairs patio with a view of the French quarter. It was too hot for that but would definitely be cool on a day with nicer weather. I had the breakfast plate that came with pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and hash browns. It was a huge amount of food but perfect because I was starving. Cafe Fleur De Lis is a lovely breakfast cafe in the French Quarter. A handful of locals online recommended this place over a big chain like Ruby Slipper. I got the Fleur de lis omelette, which is an omelette with red peppers, onions, and crawfish etouffee. I also added a side of cheesy grits, because I was told you shouldn't miss it here! My husband got the Creole Country breakfast, which comes with boudin sausage, two eggs, grits, and a biscuit. The Fleur de lis omelette was delectable. The crawfish etouffee on top of an omelette really pushed it to the next level. The portions are notably large. The side of grits, which looks kind of small, is actually so rich and heavy and creamy that it's all you really need (and it was really, really good). My husband also enjoyed his Creole Country breakfast. I love how many sides it comes with, and though the menu states two eggs, it was such a large portion of scrambled eggs that we really thought it must be about 4 eggs' worth. Boudin was not really my thing (it was my first time having it) as it has a mushy texture. I thought the breakfast here was so good and the interior is very cute. Service was friendly as well. I really miss having a place with options like this for breakfast now that I'm back home. read more
The Baseline: For a breakfast/brunch cafe the food must be hearty/filling/satisfying for the early morning, there must be a mix of sweet and savory to fulfill that brunch/breakfast need, and service must be a welcoming start of your day experience. Food: The food satisfied that need for a brunch on the last day of our trip. We had the Shrimp and Grits, Eggs Benedict, the banana & praline pancakes, and a good mess of coffee drinks. I ate before my camera on this visit but the food is above the baseline with taste (savory/sweet factor), presentation (felt like brunch), and I was satisfied on feeling full (not overstuffed though I could have made that happen). Service: Great service from our waitress. Water always full. Coffee was kept hot and full. I dropped a fork and had a new one in less than a minute. Ambiance: Breakfast/Brunch in the French Quarter and it felt like the place matched the surrounding energy of a Saturday morning in New Orleans. The place was clean and well serviced. read more

Is this restaurant able to seat large parties. Say around 20 people?
I would think if you contact them in advance, it might be possible, they have an upstairs area, but that might completely fill the upstairs, so I dont know if it would be beneficial.
Hours for Christmas day?
Gluten free beignets? Anyone? Anywhere?
This would not be possible. You could deep fry some gluten free pastry or other but it would not be a beignets if it lack gluten. Gluten is the core of what makes a beignet a beignet.
