BMP & GRND has nested their new home on Carondelet, previously homed Yo Nashi. The aesthetic of luxury greets you upon entry. They still have the same counter bar set up but now serves breakfast. I only ordered the egg drop sand which I thought was tasty. Soft scramble eggs, crispy bacon, a slice of American cheese hugged between two buttery toasts drizzled with this spicy sauce. Idk if it's spicy mayo, tastes like it lol they serve matchas, refreshers, and coffee. Limited menu. Staff was so nice! Wait time was about 30 mins. Definitely would come again. Only issue was the line flow. It caused confusion and was a cramped. Overall, would return!

This is not a Starbucks. Do not come here expecting to be in and out. It took 15 minutes to get my egg drop sandwich from the time I placed my order. The matcha took about 5. That did not include time waiting in line This place is about quality, and they take their time. The place is small, basically a hallway with a good amount of seating. I can't imagine if this place was packed. I came at a great time. The music was a vibe, chill, relaxing. The aesthetic is great, very upscale and chic. The menu is via QR code. You order at the counter and sit or go. Everything is made when you order. The matcha was delicious! I got the banana pudding with almond milk. There were a lot of steps to make it, but at least it served as entertainment while I waited. The egg drop sandwich was an egg sandwich, nothing too crazy. The sauce on it gave a good kick. It was cooked well, but omg, it took forever. I hope this place does well, but they've got to get more quick menu items. It's the CBD. Not that many people have 15-20 minutes to wait for food. Perhaps being able to order ahead will help. All in all, when I do have time again, I'll be back.

New Black-owned coffee shop in the CBD is a must try. I recently heard about this spot on Instagram and decided to give it a try Saturday morning after the gym with my friend. Was pleasantly surprised when I walked in, this is not your average coffee shop. This place is giving high end coffee and breakfast spot, the ambiance is beautiful, I mean what coffee spot you know that has a chandelier. We decided to get the berry Chantilly coffee, breakfast burrito, and hot honey avocado toast. Everything was delicious. The eggs in the burrito were so fluffy and cooked to perfection. They did have a line so be prepared to wait. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Highly recommend giving this place a try next time you're in the CBD. Be prepared to pay to park

*New downtown coffee shop alert* Bmp & Grind is a new coffee shop and cafe. The space is very cute and modern. Excellent service. I've tried two of their speciality lattes and both were excellent. The iced chantilly latte and the banana pudding latte . Small but mighty menu. The breakfast burrito was also fantastic, fresh and made to order. Look forward to trying out new items as the coffee shop continues to expand their menu.

Believe the hype!! Stopped by for a quick breakfast before the festival and got the egg drop and the banana pudding latte. Both were delicious! The croissant bread and the bacon really do it for me! The pudding in the latte was so good I ended up going back and purchasing the pudding by itself. Please give this place a try! Truly wish this business continued success

Omg..... I have no words for this place. I genuinely drank this and felt extreme happiness no lie I almost never drive downtown but I am willing to make the trek for this place! I will say that the store is a bit on the smaller side so it's more of a pick up and go. They forgot our sandwhich and we had to remind them but the matcha was so bomb we weren't even mad! Everything here was delish!

Was in town for a conference and stoped in for a breakfast sandwich... wow. Bread was slightly toasted on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Jam packed with eggs and the Smokey saltiness of the bacon. Was two bites in before I remembered to take a picture.

I am so impressed with the food and the service. I love matcha so to try a chantilly matcha for the first time was impressive and I will make this a common stop since I work in the area. The avocado toast is so good as well and the bread they use is soooo good and fresh! I loved that we were able to sit in the coffee shop to enjoy everything. It is peaceful and easy on the eye. I love what they did to the space!

Everything here deserves 5 stars from the food to the service. I definitely will be back. Its a great breakfast vibe

MUST TRY! Wife and I were visiting from out of state and stopped by for a quick breakfast. Little did we know we were about to have the best breakfast sandwich in our lives. Must try the egg drop!

No bag no box just walk down these New Orleans streets with a sandwich in my hand

I wanted to love this business but it fell short. When I walked in the workers looked at me and then back to their work but yet a white couple walked in and received a good morning welcome so they are very much capable. Please don't scream black owned when you treat your own like crap. I tried to order the same lady said give me a few moments still with no warmth someone came behind her and said I can take your order I got The brown sugar latte and egg drop sandwich. The drink was delicious sandwich I didn't care for the sauce . Now when I got the sandwich the lady just tried to hand it to me no napkin no box no bag and she knew it was to go because in house received plates. Idk why she thought I was about to walk down the street with a sandwich in my hand.l would go back For the drink but the service made me not even want to return. I'm

Stumbled upon this cute new spot. My husband and I originally were just going to order a couple lattes but then saw other people with their food and had to order the same. First off, all their syrups are in-house! That right there won us over. None of that store-bought Monin/Torani syrup crap. We ordered the banana pudding latte and chantilly latte. Both 5/5. Next, the food. We ordered the egg drop sandwich and hot honey avocado toast. BOMB. Everything, 5/5. BMP&GRND is clearly an establishment that cares about what they make and how they make it. You can just taste it in their drinks and their food. We'll be coming back before we leave town!

Getting there about 5 mins before they opened, there was one couple in line in front of us waiting for them to open. Once they opened, we were immediately seated. Nice texture and flavor. The Muffaletta was really good! Loved the warm, soft, fresh bread... I believe they make it there. The meats and the olive spread were so very fresh and tasty too. The Cubano was a fav as well... made so nicely and packed with flavor too. Their Cuban bread was spot-on as well. Service was great! The warm Italian Muffuletta was another highlight, loaded with ham, Genoa salami, pastrami, Swiss, provolone, and olive salad on fresh seeded Italian bread. Absolutely delicious and a must-try when visiting. To finish, we had the Chocolate Doberge Cake, which was rich, decadent, and the perfect ending to the meal. We arrived sans reservation, but were whisked straight into the courtyard -- arguably the best seat in the house on a pleasant Louisiana evening. Between the soft night air and the glow of the courtyard, the atmosphere alone deserved applause. The cocktails arrived first and immediately set a dangerously high standard: beautifully crafted, perfectly balanced, and the kind of drinks that make you consider canceling your plans afterward. Fortunately, the food rose to the occasion. The edamame and roasted Brussels sprouts disappeared with alarming speed, and the Amelie Salad was a standout -- generously portioned, fresh, vibrant, and substantial enough to be an entrée or ideal for sharing if you're pretending to be civilized. A special nod to Liz, who elevated the entire experience with spot-on recommendations, warm hospitality, and the rare ability to be both attentive and effortlessly relaxed. In a city famous for memorable dining, this meal still managed to feel special -- equal parts elegant, welcoming, and unmistakably New Orleans.

The host was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server and helpers were over quickly to drop off waters and greet us. I ended up ordered the salmon. With it being so early and only one or 2 other tables besides my friend and me, the food did take longer to come out than I expected it to. Both of us did thoroughly enjoy what we got. The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing. We got there around 5:30p and had to leave by 7:15p so an almost 2 hours experience that probably could have been 1 hour.

We had reservations for the Thanksgiving buffet, and the food was tasty with exceptional, attentive service at first. Unfortunately, one staff member significantly disrupted the experience. She approached our table without speaking, reached across us to remove plates while we were still eating, and returned later to grab items again without acknowledgment. When I asked her not to, she responded with visible irritation, eye-rolling and audibly sucking her teeth. When I requested a manager, our server mentioned there had already been complaints. During my conversation with the manager, the rude staff member returned to our table, hands balled in fists and had to be asked to leave. It took the manager several minutes to get her to walk away. While we didn't let it completely ruin the evening, we did cut our visit short as she was near the buffet when we went to get more food. While we received a round of comped drinks, that in no way makes up for the encounter. One person's lack of professionalism--and the manager's inability to effectively address it--made this experience disappointing. I'm hesitant to return, as encountering that staff member again would be enough to turn us away.

On the one hand, it was maybe the least interesting bar in New Orleans. On the other, it was a totally solid conference bar. I wandered in throughout the day and wound up there most nights, for hours of socializing with wonderful friends and colleagues. The space was pretty generic, par for the course for a giant Marriott. If you've ever been in a chain hotel lobby, you can probably close your eyes and conjure the carpets. There was lots of seating, though, and it was a comfortable, easy place to hang out. A convenient meeting point even when I did end up leaving the hotel. The bartenders were decent, though it was hard to get their attention when the place was busy. I had a hell of a time paying for my very wise and virtuous afternoon Diet Pepsi. That was the only non-alcoholic beverage I got here. The rest of the conference, I drank draft Abita and bourbon, and several solid Sazeracs, with rye, Herbsaint, Peychaud's bitters, and simple syrup. If you're a tourist in New Orleans, please don't drink at 55 Fahrenheit. Save your time and health for the myriad bars that await you outside the Marriott. But if you're there for a conference with a lot of fun people, grab a Sazerac and sit down.

Rich, layered, and well-balanced with fresh elements that worked together on the plate. For entrées, we had a variety of cuts, including the Australian Wagyu, ribeye, butcher's cut, and lamb chops. The Wagyu stood out immediately. High quality, great sear, and finished tableside, which added to the overall experience without taking away from the food itself. Each steak was cooked precisely to temperature and full of flavor. The lamb chops paired with carrots and brussels were well executed and balanced. The sides complemented the meal well and did not feel like afterthoughts. You can also see their in-house dry aging setup, which speaks to the level of detail they put into their steak program. It shows in the final product. The drinks were solid across the board. The Old Fashioned and bourbon selections paired well with the meal and matched the food's quality. Service by Noelle was attentive and responsive throughout the night. Everything flowed well, and we were taken care of without feeling rushed or hovered over. It started the moment we walked in. Glancing at the hostess, asking "OK to sit at the bar?", getting a nod, sitting down. An experience we've done in hundreds of restaurants. (We had reservations for a table but often prefer the bar.) The bartender -- whom we believe was named Mike -- started off his interaction with new customers as follows. "Did you check with the hostess?" I nodded in the affirmative, apparently that wasn't enough. "Check with the hostess", he ordered. I got up, went over the hostess stand, and confirmed, this time so "Mike" could see, that it was OK for us to sit at a half-empty bar. (In retrospect, we should have gotten up and walked out immediately, but it was late and even in the Quarter most places were closing for dinner.) You see, Mike clearly didn't want to be working that night. He was rude, inattentive, and condescending. And not just to us, to everyone seated at the bar. Slow making drinks, slow asking for orders, seething contempt for his customers. One time we asked to see a drink menu to decide on a new drink, he said, and this is a direct quote, "Do you want to see it or do you want to review it?" Mike's behavior was clearly well-known to the staff, because another staff member, who was off-shift and next to us at the bar, witnessed this behavior and arranged for a free dessert on the house (classy move on her part). She confided in us that Mike's pretty much always like that, but that he's a buddy of the general manager so seemingly un-fireable. Well, here's hoping someone reads this and thinks the better of Doris Metropolitan, or at least sitting at the bar. Unless you think service you'd get in a Paris tourist trap cafe is appropriate for a high-end steakhouse, you're better off spending your hard-earned money elsewhere.
