Who Dat! Cafe is one of the best casual breakfast spots in the city!! The atmosphere is very nostalgic as there are a lot of interesting art pieces which fit the aesthetic of the place very well. The food was excellent I had the breakfast sandwich which is was hot, tasty, and not salty at all. The biscuit was crunchy, the cheese was melty, and the sausage was flavorful and cooked throughly. Great breakfast! I had the Bywater Bene. 2 poached eggs on slices of sautéed tomatoes on French bread topped by a yummy Hollandaise sauce. My side of fruit was fresh and good. Hubby had Da Cajun Scramble with sausage, onions, cheese red & green bell peppers served with potatoes. He said the seasoning on the eggs was especially good. I couldn't have been happier with my first meal in New Orleans. After an early flight, we showed up to Who Dat hungry and ready to get our vacation going. The bartender and server were super friendly the morning we came in. My boyfriend got "Da Cajun Scramble" and I got "Maw-Maw's Garden Casserole". We both loved our meals. His eggs were perfectly cooked. The casserole was full of veggies and amazingly cheesy. The real star though were those breakfast potatoes.... I don't know what kind of New Orleans voodoo magic they use to make those potatoes perfectly crispy on the outside, deliciously warm and melty on the inside, and seasoned with love. After perusing the menu, I decided on the catfish benedict and poinsettia cocktail. Babyyy... that catfish benedict put ya girl in a chokehold, okaaaay?! Who told these folks to slay the catfish like that?! First and foremost; they do not skimp. Hooked me up with a huge ass piece of perfectly crispy and wonderfully seasoned catfish. The hollandaise sauce was on point. It was like a partay in my mouth. So, soooo good. The poinsettia cocktail was like 3 cocktails in one. Do you see how big that plastic red cup is?! And yes I drank it ALL! I'm glad I wasn't driving. I just loved everything about this place. Wished that I could have spent more time here.
