I ordered the Under the Sea omelette with sourdough toast and fresh fruit. I liked their menu options especially the fact that they have plenty of healthy stuff. I enjoyed my omelette but it wasn't really much to write home about. Did it deliver on what I needed at the time? Yes, it was a fast and easy high protein meal.
We came here for breakfast last Saturday and had a delicious meal! I got the potato bowl with eggs and bacon and it was so good and super filling! Very large portions too. My husband got the French toast and wow, incredible! I definitely stole more bites than he wanted to share lol! Service was quick and friendly and the place has some really cute vintage decor!
We took a stroll to find this restaurant after searching for breakfast spots. A nice little gem in the area, seems to be a constant flow of people. There was a line when we arrived, but we liked how the host walked the line asking how many people in your party in case they were able to seat people regardless of your position in line. We were seated pretty quickly, our server was great. She came over with a big smile, very mild mannered, but attentive. We ordered our meals, which came out quickly. Omelet for my husband, grits bowl for me. The grits have smoked gouda. The grits bowl is if you have a big appetite because it is big! My husband enjoyed his shrimp and crab Omelet, but he did mention that he couldn't really taste or see much crab, but it was tasty. The grits bowl has a lot of sautéed veggies so if that's not your thing say no veggies or light veggies. I had one of the fresh juices, the Ginger Sun, I believe that's the name. Oh my!!! It was so good and honestly I wasn't feeling my best when I arrived and after drinking the juice my body really started feeling better. I wasn't able to eat all my food, but I can say that juice was the highlight of it for me. The restaurant was clean and I love the long bench with the pillows that line the wall. Also, they have 2 sides, the other side is for to go I believe and its for tacos/quesadillas, etc...
I'll start this review by saying my dad can be pretty critical. He's been searching for the perfect seafood omelet reminiscent of something he had decades ago that has merely been legend since I've been alive. He said the Under The Sea Omelet was as close to perfection as he's had since that OG. Fortunately, he gave me a bite and I will agree - it was excellent. The Hatchery egg sandwich was thoroughly enjoyed as well. I ordered the BBQ shrimp and grits that juxtaposed creamy grits with plump shrimp, paring buttery goodness with deep heat. The dish overall ate pretty greasy but was definitely flavorful. The cafe is situated basically in a hotel lobby but had a fun feel to it.
This was my 1st time visiting everything was great. My omelet was very good and I left feeling full. My boyfriend had French toast with fresh fruit on top which was very delicious as well. There was a little wait before being seated because area is a bit small and packed but once seated service was smooth and fairly quick. I also sampled some of a fresh homage sweet tea and I ended up ordering one to go. Will be back again.

Food was mid. My food was cool not hot for being breakfast. I did have a grapefruit juice that was amazing! Service was bad. All waiters and waitresses were on their phones. Barely making eye contact. Took at least 15mins to take my order from the first time she asked and I said give me a minute. She gave me 15 lol! My waitress was nice when she did come around. Ambiance it's pretty chill.
Excellent food. Omelette was done perfectly! Hosted was great. I had a 20 min wait and ended up getting a seat at the bar. Multiple people milling around behind the bar .... No acknowledgment, hello, can I get you water or coffee or any such interaction. After 10 mins. I simply had to just get ornery and raise my voice!to ask for some service. As good as the food was, 3 stars is all they get

At first glance, you wouldn't think this is a traditional Louisiana soul spot, but the food tells a completely different story. Everything came out fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. Each dish was well-seasoned and clearly made with care and love. If you're looking for a brunch spot in New Orleans, this place is a must-go. 9.1 out of 10.
We were looking for a breakfast place to sit down and have a bite to eat. They were quite busy and we waited a while for a table. We also waited a little while for our food as to how busy they were. It was OK, the veggie Benedict was flavorful, but kind of one note. The potatoes were standard and the crêpes are probably the most delicious part of our meal. The grits were a little bit too creamy if that's possible! Not my favorite I've had in my lifetime. We also never got water and waited almost to the end of our meal for it. The service was OK but they were just busy. It also was a bit warm inside, which was odd as I think they had the air-conditioning going. Not sure we would return again.
Thank you, Yelpers, for turning me on to a great diner. Beautiful space, friendly ladies, GREAT FOOD, water, and coffee. Ate the custom omelette: Gruyere cheese, mushrooms, green spinach. Plus potatoes and toast. I could only eat half of it. I needed my coffee or I would have loved Cucumber Lemonade or European cocktails made with Prosecco (Italian white wine with a fruity flavor). Really, this place is beautiful, calm, and interesting. Enjoyed my coffee and omelette very much (:

The space has a bright, modern feel with plenty of natural light, cheerful colors, and a clean, welcoming vibe. There's a mix of tables and booths, and the layout feels open without being crowded. It was already busy when we stopped in for breakfast, which says a lot about its popularity. Once we were seated, the service was fast and friendly. The food came out quickly, which was great since the place was full. Everything we ordered was really good. My son loved his Nutella crepe and pointed out it had more Nutella than most places we've tried, so it's perfect if you've got a sweet tooth. The omelet and Benedict were both well made and full of flavor. It's easy to see why this café draws a steady crowd. A bright and lively spot with good food and friendly service.

This is a small cafe located right by the convention center with really good food for very inexpensive prices. It was recommended by the staff at the hotel. My coworker and I came here for breakfast one morning before attending our conference workshops. We got lucky and were able to be seated right away despite it being busy. Our servers were friendly and nice and moved quickly about the restaurant tending to the customers. They decoration of the dinner was interesting, reminded me of od school rustic. We opted for french toast, a side of grits, a side of bread, shrimp and grits and a mimosa. All the food and drink were great and fresh. We really enjoyed it. So much so we tried to come back the next day but they were closed. Definitely recommend for someone looking for good breakfast food for a low cost. read more

Conveniently located across from the convention center. Stopped in for breakfast at 10am and it was pretty busy. We had the crab Benedict and traditional benedic, booth were okay. The cappuccino was very good. It's a standard local with chairs, tables and some benches along the wall, plenty of sunlight coming through. Staff was pleasant and welcoming. My first time trying Two Chicks Cafe and it was overall decent. I was that hungry so I tried Bacon and side of eggs w/avocado. The food was made fresh and decent. Maybe when I come back to NO I'll try here and other options. For my drink I had the hurricane and it was just ok. The service was good and attentive! It's not a modern restaurant but it does give southern vibes. It was Essense festival so it was crowded! Small inside and not too many seatings. This was my 1st time visiting everything was great. My omelet was very good and I left feeling full. My boyfriend had French toast with fresh fruit on top which was very delicious as well. The second location of Two Chicks Cafe on Gravier was one of the first brunch places I visited when I moved to New Orleans. It always stood out to me as having a unique Eggs Benedict, using a croissant instead of the traditional English Muffin. I've been to this location a couple of times. It's tucked away inside of a hallway and you kind of have to know it's there. The space is limited but they do squeeze a few tables into that space and they can accommodate multiple sized groups. If you are there with one or two people the bar is available for a fun experience. I decided to venture away from my favorite Eggs Benedict and got the Under the Sea Omelet. And I switched out the toast for a croissant to make up for it. The omelet was good but didn't hit the spot like I knew the Eggs Benedict would. The croissant was disappointing by itself. Service: Good! The server was quick to respond. Drinks: Definitely many options here. Outside Seating: Nope. Parking: Paid parking and a little tough with it being next to the convention center. read more
First breakfast cafe in nola and I am surprisingly shocked at how delicious everything was. The french toast has cornflakes on it so it makes it crunchy and flavorful. My bf thoroughly enjoyed his meal. The french toast were thick and very filling. I recommend to share this with others because it's dense. 10/10 The bbq shrimps & grits was delightful. I never had grits and so I wanted to try it. I loved the flavor of the whole dish. Very well balanced and not overpowering of bbq. The dish is very filling. I could not finish it. 10/10 The portions here are pretty big. I recommend to share it amongst one another. The cafe is a cozy small cafe shop. There's quite a bit of seats and also counter top seating too. The service was good. They are really nice and attentive. read more

This is a very cute little spot that I happened to see on Apple Maps. It was close to my hotel and it looked like it would be a pretty good place to eat by myself. The food was incredible. The kickin chicken omelette may be the best omelette have ever had. The salsa is outstanding. The creamy grits were also great. The mimosa with fresh squeezed orange juice was outstanding. I cannot recommend this place enough. The service was amazing and the food was perfect. read more

Finding good food in New Orleans had been SO disappointing & I didn't have any kind of high hope for stopping in somewhere quick and nearby while working the convention center. But this place was SUCH a nice surprise! Servers were awesome, place is easily within walking distance, and the place feels so clean with a nicely extensive menu! We took our order to go, and were met with a HUGE plate when we got back to work, and everything was DELICIOUS and felt and tasted home made. Thanks for this lovely gem gals!!! read more
Great cafe near the convention center. Was in town for work and found this place to be a great option for a healthy or not so healthy breakfast. I live that they offer fresh juice, smoothies and chia pudding. All were great! Loved the French toast!! Sooo good!! The second time I stopped in I tried the crab cake eggs Benedict. I was mixed on this dish. I think it was kinda dry and needed more sauce. Also my eggs were too well done. Sort of like hard boiled poached eggs. Grits were nice and cheesy. read more

This is an example of why you shouldn't go to sports in touristy areas during peak times. We got here around 12:45pm on a Friday and had a good experience. W returned at noon on Saturday and boooy, was that a mistake. The line stretched around the block and we waited for an hour to get seated. Located in a nondescript business/store front complex, this spot was not easy to find. It is super casual and does not seat a lot of people. Both days, service was horrible. Severely understaffed. Felt bad for the team that had to be so overwhelmed. We never got water or utensils until we asked over and over and over again. Had to wait for staff forever for anything. Be prepared for an up charge for any egg dishes. Seafood egg Benedict was disappointing. Barely any Hollandaise on each egg. Crabcakes were dry and bland. Shrimp and grits were delicious. This Friday meal was solid. Fried chicken club sandwich was delicious on Friday. On Saturday, it was inedible. Served cold (for how long has it been sitting on a counter?) Burnt chicken and burnt bacon, wilted, old tomato, barely any sauce, soggy, stale bread with finger dents. I wanted to cry, because I waited over an hour for this and what we got left a sour aftertaste. This spot closes at 2, so at 1:40, staff are sweeping and washing floors and making every harried effort to get remaining customers to leave. I felt super rushed both times. Very disappointing. Later after that upsetting Saturday burnt sandwich, my intestines started acting up, so I spent quite an hour on the toilet. I have a stomach of steel, so it takes a LOT for me to get any kind of indigestion/diarrhea. Sadly, ruined day. read more

The food is delicious. Highly recommend the French toast. The smoothies were nice and moderately sweet. The citrus mint sweet tea is so good, I'm going to try and make it at home. The place itself is right next to the cruise ship shuttle, so lots of people watching. The wait staff was nice, efficient and friendly. I'd come here again. read more

Popped in for a quick bite before catching a flight out of town and it was delicious! The crepe and juice really hit the spot to me. All of the servers were so nice and seemed to work together really well. Everyone was on top of it and cross-covering for each other. It was a bit busy in the morning so there was a 10-15 min wait, but it wasn't bad at all. The crepe was really good. It was chewier and slightly thicker than I prefer my crepes, but I think it's because of what they make the crepes out of. The juice was delicious though! If I had the time (and the money) I probably would have tried them all. They all sounded great. The crepe and the juice cost the same price though ($9), which was a little surprising to me. I also wanted to mention how cute, cozy, and homey it is in here! It gives grandma's house vibes in the best way. read more
Let's start off by talking about the coffee. Really good and full of flavor. Our waitress told the group I was with that they get fresh from the French corridor everyday. Our waitress was so helpful with the menu and checked on us often. I had the pancakes and wow they make a great stack full of flavor. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Well worth the wait, I can understand why the regulars love it here. Love the design style and atmosphere here. Heard about this place on tik tok so I thought I'd try it on my birthday. There was a line a little after 9. My wait was about 10 minutes and I was seated st the bar. The hostess asked everyone how many were in their party and if we were ok w the bar. I was given a water and asked for oj. It definitely tasted freshly squeezed. I ordered the breakfast Po boy w the spicy mayo on the side. My server suggested grits on the side and I got some. I wasn't crazy about them but the pi boy was good. While at the Spring 2025 NASPA Conference in NOLA, I was in search of breakfast. Two Chicks Cafe is right across the convention center so I decided to give it a try. The place is not large and appears to have been repurposed. It might have been a retail store.. But it has a comfy relaxed vibe with table or counter seating. While there was a long line waiting to be seated, the host came by looking for customers dinning alone and seated me at the counter. I completely enjoy dinning solo in the company of fellow strangers. It fun observing what they order, how they eat their food, and yes their conversation. Wait staff is friendly yet professional. Finally, what did I order? Since I was here for breakfast, I had the Under the Sea Omelette (egg, shrimp, bell peppers, and Brie cheese) with a side of potatoes (lightly seasoned), and multigrain toast. Delicious breakfast/brunch/lunch spot right across the street from the New Orleans Convention Center and cruise departure port. What that also means is there will be a long line and long wait. I know so because I walked past every day for a week. Two Chicks Cafe is pretty small and houses only a handful of tables and a bar counter to sit at. This is the kind of place you go to when you want to be sure your taste buds will be pleased with scrumptious food, but you don't expect anything in terms of available service and timely food arrival. Crab cake benedict - they load up on real crab and the Cajun hollandaise was very creamy with a nice, spicy kick. All on a buttery croissant. Very rich, very savory, will make you want to go take a nap afterward. Got a side of cheese grits which were smooth and creamy, but needed some more salt. Under the sea omelet - makes you wonder if this is a breakfast dish or a dinner for two. Comes with a side of toast of your choice. The omelet was packed with seafood and veggies. Went with a side of flavorsome roasted potatoes that were seasoned very well. Strawberry banana smoothie - good and typical, nothing special about it, heavy on the ice Solid place to have a meal at if you are fine with the likely possibility of standing in line and waiting a while for food.
