Compared to all the other spots we had while in NOLA, I feel like this was only alright. If you're visiting and only have limited time to try places, I wouldn't recommend. If you're here for a while then sure see for yourself. We ordered the egg, bacon, and cheese biscuit. I was disappointed in the breakfast biscuit. The potatoes though?! They were fireeeee! If I ever go back I'm only going for potatoes lol. Maybe I'll try something else on the menu.

Stopped in here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Casual spot, you order at the counter, they have counter and table seating. Food was good, I had the pancakes and my husband had the meat lovers omelet. I thought the omelette could be a bit better, it didn't quite have enough cheese for my taste. Potatoes on the side were good, very crispy. The pancakes were tasty as well. Prices weren't bad for downtown NOLA. Nothing extraordinary, but a good breakfast, would come back.

I was expecting an average breakfast cafe and just walked in because it was freezing! I can't say I wasn't pleasantly surprised. The menu looked pretty basic and simple so I was just expecting a basic simple breakfast. But when I got my French toast it was like a five star restaurant! I've never had such a tasty breakfast. All the way down to the simplest side of potatoes. All items on my plate were packed in flavor! So so good. And the ladies working the counter! Some of the sweetest service so early in the morning. Really gave me a great start to my day. Definitely a way to kickstart your morning!

Fast friendly service. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage, generous portions, reasonable price.

Came to this place while in the area and chose it based on its rating. It's Easy to find location with large menu and seat yourself seating. The staff could be friendlier to customers and each other, and the place definitely needs a deep cleaning, everything is spread out and packaged individually like the condiments and everything you need to eat which is rather annoying when your food arrives and you have to get up and move around tons of other customers to get what you need. The food came quickly and was reasonably priced but lacked heat. I Was also disappointed that the fried potatoes were not homemade. I ordered a chia latte hot and it wasn't hot at all. Overall the reason for the low rating was all about the service and lack of quality and cleanliness. You are served on paper plates with paper cups and plastic wear that isn't covered or sealed. There is a lack of overall quality in the service and food delivery/service and while there are good bones and room for improvement, it remains underwhelming for the time being.

Great little diner hidden by big buildings and hotels. Walk up to the counter to order, take your number and find your seat. Watching the juicer make orange juice is pure entertainment and always juicing. Service is steady- no rush and no hurry and everything works out fine, so bring your patience. Appears to be a scratch kitchen but don't hold me to that if I'm wrong. Everyone is friendly. The prices are on point with the portions and if you leave and you're not full, then that's on you!

Our food was delicious. Delivered quick after a little wait to be seated. No waiting area so we had to stand outside in the rain. This was walkable from our hotel. Once we were seated, we enjoyed all aspects of our environment and experience.

Line long, moved slowly on a Sunday morning. Employee told me she wasn't making any coffee or teas at the moment but I noticed others after me were made. No waffles either so pretty bummed. Food was worth the wait when it came out. Probably the best breakfast we had while here and visiting year after year. Husband had hot sausage omelet. I had cheese biscuit and breakfast potatoes which were very good. Good vibe and music.

Such great food and service!! Ms. Dey was so accommodating when we told her we were in a rush to get to a conference. The food is insanely delicious. Crispy breakfast potatoes, and perfectly seasoned Cajun Biscuit!! Definitely will be back next time im in Nola:)))

And Cafe Du Monde is a quintessential must go place in the Crescent City! Even for locals, nothing beats a plate of fresh beignets covered in powdered sugar ashes down by a nice cup of cafe au lait made with strong chickpea laced coffee. Go for the beignets and stay for the people watching. Like the food court at the Mall of America's, you'll see every walk of life come to Cafe Du Monde. You might even see a local musician or politician here. The vibe and the beignets keep people coming back. Laissez les beignets rouller!

I had the chance to come back to the city last weekend, when a good friend from my Italy days was in town for a conference. I was able to meet her to explore the city for a day, and we of course had to make room for beignets and Cafe du Monde. We almost settled for one of the locations at an indoor mall, but we stuck out a 20-30 min walk from where we were to make it to the original at the French Quarter. Since it was just two of us, we were able to get seated pretty quickly even though there was an expected Saturday morning line. I am also glad my friend had cash because they STILL only accept cash for payment. No credit cards, which is wild at any US establishment nowadays. We also tried to only order one plate of beignets (come in a set of 3) and one coffee each but the server came back with two beignet plates and coffees. $20 with tax included! The beignets themselves were scrumptious, warm, and delicious ofcourse. So I suppose worth any inconvenience that we may have experienced. However, the tables are left incredibly messy. It is true that our server did wipe off our table before we sat down but it is embarrassing to see patrons create such a mess to begin with.

Just like on my first JazzFest in 1987 an elderly man with one tooth in his mouth ambled up to me and said "if you can't have fun in New Orleans, you ain't got a pulse" My friend and I ordered the following Gris Gris with espresso: gris gris banana brown sugar gelato, praline rum ball, brûléed banana, caramel rum drizzle, cinnamon dust, espresso boozy version option: spiced rum evo drizzle option: koroneiki It was delicious and was a perfect ending after we had a great meal. I look forward to their move to their new location which I heard will have an event space. All the best to Drip and the Drippetts.

We went all in: shrimp and grits that were downright phenomenal (I'm still thinking about them), a goat cheese omelette that was so good it made me question all my past breakfast decisions, and pancakes with berries that tasted like they were made by someone who genuinely cares about your happiness. The coffee? Strong enough to fix your life. The service? Warm, attentive, and somehow psychic--they just knew when we needed refills or another mimosa (which, for the record, felt less like a drink and more like a lifestyle choice). Honestly, this place doesn't just serve breakfast--it gives you a reason to get out of bed. 10/10 would wake up early again... and I do not say that lightly.

Price wise, it was reasonable, and it was filling enough that I wasn't hungry when I left, nor was I ill-prepared for any shenanigans that the say might bring. Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
