It was decent - not amazing. It was very cold and noisy in the restaurant. Our server, Walter was kind and attentive. Two of us shared the following for breakfast: - Gulf Shrimp Omelet w/ Grits and Buttermilk Biscuit - Side of Tater Tots - Side of Buttermilk Biscuit The coffee was a bit weak but it was hot. The cream was fresh. The omelet was really good. The tots were cooked crispy - just how we prefer. The buttermilk biscuit was disappointing. It looked great but was tough and chewy. I would return to the Ruby Slipper but I'd eat outside. Maybe have another omelet and the pancakes. The pancakes looked real good. -

Reserve or get on the waitlist early. The place definitely gets busy. We ended up ordering online and the food still wasn't ready by the time we arrived for pickup. Got the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and a spicy chicken biscuit. The biscuits are great and pricing is reasonable.

This is the spot you want to be for a great brunch session. They have various restaurants all over. We ordered the Trifecta, Sweet Heat Chicken and French Toast Bites, and some Irish Coffee. The Trifecta is great since it lets you taste the 3 different specialties of benedicts. The Chicken St. Charles was my favorite of the 3. The Sweet Heat Chicken was great too! It had a nice kick to the sweetness but it was not overpowering. To wash it all down, an order of Irish Coffee, which was quite strong and pretty good as well. This is a nice spot although it can get packed during peak hours. The servers were quick in getting orders and cleaning off the tables. I would recommend this place for anyone that was a good brunch experience.

Glad we stopped by twice during our stay in NOLA. Enjoyed the French toast, salmon avocado toast, Bloody Mary, peach Bellini and the BLT. The shrimp and grits wasn't my favorite but then again I got it to go so it probably would've been better eating it fresh.

The food here makes my taste buds sing! Ruby Slipper was SO good that my group went twice. My first order was the peacemaker Benedict with the bayou shrimp and chicken. I wished I got just the shrimp as everything was perfect from the shrimp, flavor, and on top of the the BUTTERIEST biscuits ever The second time I ordered the shrimp and grits which was also delicious! It gets busy here especially in the weekends so making a reservation is recommended!

Solid breakfast spot in the French Quarter. Food and service were great. I was able to make a reservation online, and avoided the walk-in line.

Couldn't leave New Orleans without getting in a brunch at one of their most popular brunch restaurants! The line was constant while we were there. Fortunately they have a yelp waitlist and take reservations. Hub's banana fosters French toast was AMAZING! I loved my trifecta of bennies! Their Cochon, an apple braised pork, bayou shrimp with fried green tomatoe and their chicken St. Charles were all so good! So glad I didn't have to make a choice! Lol. Had to try their strawberry rainbow crunch beignets lol. The strawberry cheesecake sauce was delish as were the candied bacon! Everything was superb and our server Bradley was super energetic and friendly and had great recs. A lively fun ambiance' and servers had cool shirts! Such a fun place. Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Absolutely great that there is an online waitlist. This place is delicious & well worth the wait. Still weird that potatoes do not come with the eggs Benedict

The food here is second to none for breakfast/brunch. I have never had a bad meal here. Be prepared for a long wait to get in the door, but it's worth it. It hurts me to only give 4 stars, but the service was so slow, almost unbearably so. Took a very long time to get our order in and our drinks did not arrive until we were nearly finished eating our food. Regardless I definitely be back next time I'm in town.

I had to come back and try the praline pancakes with bacon and nuts on top and bacon on the side. Wow , you have to try them. They are so delicious and so much flavor going on. Highly recommended going and eating any thing here .

Ryan took care of us and he was great. Greeted us quickly and was very efficient. I shared the Spanish omelet and it was really good. Had a great spice and lots of flavor to it. We also got pancakes and those were delish as well. I tried their boozy iced coffee, it was small but I liked it. The restaurant itself is really small but that made it extra cute and cozy. They have 3 locations all less than 10 min away from each other and if I'm not mistaken, they all have the same food, so you can choose which aesthetic you're in the mood for when picking a location. Thank u Ruby slipper!

I know it's a chain restaurant, but the location was near the Aquarium, and the reviews made it a must for breakfast. We were seated immediately upon arrival and were delighted with the French toast bites for an appetizer. I had the trifecta, which is one of each of their signature egg Benedicts. My son had the Gulf shrimp omelette and grits. Both entrees were delicious. The trifecta is large and dense enough to be shared. Bar, booth, low-top casual dinner setting. Moderate noise. Clean with excellent southern service. Competitive prices. I would return.

I was in New Orleans for the 2026 Jazz and Heritage Festival, so my mornings were my own. I travel alone and don't always look for reservations when planning on a meal in this city. Streetcar Café is a perfect choice for what I was looking for: ample breakfast choices, a full bar, and excellent service by Andres. I ordered two poached eggs ($3.50), a single pancake ($4.50), and hash brown potatoes ($4). Totally reasonable pricing, and excellent meals, topped with the Always Summer (Malibu rum, Triple sec, OJ, Pineapple juice, Grenadine, $13). The place filled up pretty quickly after I arrived at around 10 a.m. Andres did an outstanding job of keeping track of my order, and served up the menu items piping hot. Couldn't finish it all, but it was a best-choice for brunch this morning.

We arrived sans reservation, but were whisked straight into the courtyard -- arguably the best seat in the house on a pleasant Louisiana evening. Between the soft night air and the glow of the courtyard, the atmosphere alone deserved applause. The cocktails arrived first and immediately set a dangerously high standard: beautifully crafted, perfectly balanced, and the kind of drinks that make you consider canceling your plans afterward. Fortunately, the food rose to the occasion. The edamame and roasted Brussels sprouts disappeared with alarming speed, and the Amelie Salad was a standout -- generously portioned, fresh, vibrant, and substantial enough to be an entrée or ideal for sharing if you're pretending to be civilized. A special nod to Liz, who elevated the entire experience with spot-on recommendations, warm hospitality, and the rare ability to be both attentive and effortlessly relaxed. In a city famous for memorable dining, this meal still managed to feel special -- equal parts elegant, welcoming, and unmistakably New Orleans.

The host was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server and helpers were over quickly to drop off waters and greet us. I ended up ordered the salmon. With it being so early and only one or 2 other tables besides my friend and me, the food did take longer to come out than I expected it to. Both of us did thoroughly enjoy what we got. The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing. We got there around 5:30p and had to leave by 7:15p so an almost 2 hours experience that probably could have been 1 hour.
