I got the brisket hash and it was so good! My gf got the crab cake and it was delicious. They also have the best fresh juice selection and their coffee is really good too! Definitely add this to the list when visiting. Weekends dont go unless early the wait will be crazy. Hop on the wait list via yelp and save your time. I went weekend and weekday. Weekday was much better. Weekend I asked if I could sit at the bar cause it was open and they said the waitlist Includs the bar. It was an hr wait and I went to another rest ate and my place is line didnt move much. Weekday much better and was able to walk up and get seated. Food was great. We showed up with a large party and were all able to get seated with no reservation. We weren't able to sit all together but we has 3 tables of 4 near each other. I straight up bought a shirt which I never do because I had such a great time here. The food as fantastic. I enjoyed an app and a main dish. It took a little bit to get our food & but considering how packed the restaurant was I think it was fine. Service in New Orleans is usually pretty friendly and she was not. More seemed she just wanted tables to get in and get out. She brought my check before I was even done eating. I was afraid that we were not gonna get seated as soon as we walked in we were able to get seated, which I truly loved. She also took her time with our food choices and definitely gave some good recommendations. As far as the food, not much in the way of changes from previous review. Potatoes had way to much salt or pepper. Tofu scramble was bland. The vegan sausage was ok. Vegan ranchero was just ok this time. Place was packed, servers hustled. The big change is a mandatory 20% tip for parties of 2 (two) or more, pretty much every table in the restaurant. Plus a 3% "employee health care" upcharge. Just raise your menu prices 25%, announce you are a no-tipping establishment, you pay your employees a living wage with healthcare, and I'll feel really, really good about eating at your establishment. Instead actual out-the-door prices are about 24% higher (about 34% higher including tax) than stated on the menu which I consider to be wrong on many counts. I'm getting tired of it. read more

I eat here once or twice a week because I live in the area but today was probably my last time for a long time.
