Crescent Counter has moved down the street - they're now in the lobby of the Wyndham Garden Inn, accessible in the 900 block of Common St. Very simple coffee shop with some breakfast items. I stop in regularly for their breakfast sandwiches, which are delicious. Open 7 days a week!! Very limited seating, and this may be a temporary location, but the business is still open (it has been reported as closed), and it's definitely worth a stop for coffee or to-go food!! read more

Little code shop inside a hotel with not variety of coffee and pastries. I asked for a cappuccino with non-fat milk . I was told they only had low-fat. So I waited twenty minutes for the cappuccino, a muffin, and a bagel with cream cheese. I was then given a whole-milk cappuccino. When I asked for an explanation, they just said they did not have low or fat free milk. They refunded the cappuccino and left me with the muffin and a bagel without the spread of cream cheese. They should have least: 1. Spread the cream cheese. 2. Refund the whole amount for the time I had waisted. read more

Crescent Counter is a great little coffee shop connected to the hotel. I've been here two days in a row and enjoyed it both times. The first day I ordered a hot caramel latte, which was smooth and really well made. The second day I had the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant--super buttery and flaky, with perfectly seasoned eggs. I also tried a vanilla coffee with milk, and the vanilla syrup had an almost cinnamony flavor that was unexpected and delicious. Came in to catch up with my friend and sat on tiered benches they had in back. There's ample amount of seats that are close to outlets! The Ube matcha was really yummy and so was the golden latte (mung bean base). My favorite drink that we ordered was the golden latte because it didn't have a bitting coffee aftertaste on my tongue and also had a sweet and creamy flavor profile. The baristas are really friendly and offer their recommendation if you don't know what you're looking for! read more

And the coffee and menu consistently amazing. The owners tell me they have been attempting to claim the business on Yelp to update the address but are running into issues with Yelp. read more

This is a really cute spot! There is some bar seating for while you wait for your drinks. The coffee and tea were both good, didn't try the pastries but they looked good. The only bummer was it took quite a long time to get our two to go lattes after ordering (30 minutes) and we were expecting a quicker turnaround, so probably not the best place to come if you are in a hurry. I found this place on my last morning in NOLA and boy do I wish I'd found it sooner. The interior of the shop is super cute and has plenty of bar style seating for taking a quick call or finishing up that last minute report while having your coffee. I got a cafe au lait, egg and cheese and spinach frittata, almond croissant and a homemade limeade. Everything was FANTASTIC. I literally wanted to return and have 4 more of the croissants because they were so good. They make all the pastries in house and the juices are made that morning. This is the type of coffee shop/community space that I had in walking distance in my own neighborhood in Philly. Definitely bookmarking as my go to spot the next time I come back to NOLA. read more

We literally stumbled on this hidden gem while visiting NOLA for a long weekend. Unless you walk by or look it up, you won't see it. It's attached next door to a hotel but the sign is flush on the outside wall. We took a chance based on the Yelp reviews and were so happy we did. It's small inside but very clean and simple. It's a coffee shop buy so much more. It appears everything is made early that morning and they do run out. Only about 10 single seat inside so it appears most take it to go. Here's the kicker! It's not expensive. Their prices were very reasonable. We ordered to coffees and the sausage & cheese roll, blueberry biscuit and the almond croissant. OH MY every bite was pure heaven. We sat down to eat them and let's start with that super flaky blueberry biscuit. Just a hint of sweetness and a glaze that made it scrumptious. The croissant was also flaky and incredibly delicious. The crown jewel was that sausage and cheese roll. Not sure what type of sausage it was but it was the best I've ever had. We ate breakfast for 1/2 of any other restaurant and enjoyed it so much....we came back the next morning. read more

The pictures on google maps were very misleading- the pictures were of a modern looking coffee shop stand alone, but this place was tucked in a 3 star hotel. I was looking forward to trying the coffee/ espresso roasted specifically for them by black and white roasters- unfortunately the coarse grind, insufficient tamping, or an inadequate dose of coffee made for an extremely bitter/ sour espresso. My drip coffee was fine- very darkly roasted for my taste (likely the same coffee as the espresso). read more

Came in for a cappuccino one morning and it was amazing! Everyone here is so friendly and it's a very cute and clean shop that opens early at 7am. I didn't get a pastry but they looked amazing in the little window. They have amazing looking peach croissants when I stopped by. Crescent Counter makes their pastries in-house and provides a delightful atmosphere, great playlist, and serves local beans from woman owned and operated business. I may have never come here if I didn't happen to be walking nearby and in need of a coffee post Mardi Gras madness (since I already have my go-to's). A decent spot for basic coffee, but more about aesthetics than coffee quality. We got two lattes and a piece of the raisin walnut loaf. They were a solid value (albeit a bit burnt in flavor) and the loaf was good, not too sweet. However, we saw the reviews before coming here and got the impression that this was a higher end coffee place, especially given the "pour over" on the menu. When we asked what the pour over options were, the barista said "it's just a different method of making the coffee." We said yes, and clarified that we were asking what beans were being used for the pour over, and got the response "uh, dark roast." No shade to the barista, because this feels like a lack of training issue from the business. It was a bummer to feel duped by the aesthetic over the quality, especially after having solid pour over at a chain coffee shop blocks away. It was the only coffee shop we went into all week without coffee beans or grounds available for sale, and just empty shelves with plants, which should've been our first tip off. read more

Unfortunately this was a disappointing experience. The service was disinterested and I didn't feel welcome here. They charge $1.50 extra for decaf, when I enquired about it they told me it's because they use a different process... I'm not sure I understand exactly what that means. Paid $16 for two decaf (cap and latte). The drinks are average as well unfortunately. Much better coffees at Fourth Wall, and better service and overall experience. We came here while visiting NOLA, and am so glad we did! The food, service and drinks were all so great! We can here for breakfast the last two days of our trip. We got a breakfast sandwich that came with bacon and egg on it! The coffee was tasty and you could customize the drink as well. They had dairy alternatives which was also an added bonus! An oasis of a wonderful coffee shop in the midst of hotels. When I stayed this time for a conference, I walked here pretty much whenever I could (unfortunately their hours at the time were pretty limited). They have their own kitchen, and the biscuits are amazing (blueberry biscuit) - super flaky, honey glazed, crunchy edges, not like most biscuits. And just the right amount of (lots of!) butter. The flakiness and beautiful presentation make it stand out even more. As for the coffee - masterfully done. My barista really used the pourover coffee to highlight the flavors of the coffee - oh and they use some really good beans (Black & White roasters, for example). Unlike a lot of places where coffee (even pourovers) can fall flat, I got strong hints of blueberry and other vibrant notes in the pourover. Maybe things will change as people discover this place more, but at the time it was quiet, had free Wifi, and had a really design-oriented and chill atmosphere. Hope this place is still around the next year I visit! read more

Great little coffee spot and very modern. I enjoyed their paintings. The coffee drinks were good-iced latte and Cappuccino. And ordered what was left of their baked goods-breakfast Sausage and banana bread and was excellent. Will have to go earlier to check out this other baked goods....because what I got was the last of that mornings offerings and if that is any indication of the baked goods, must be very good! Just needed a pick-me-up nearby before we met up with some friends during our visit to NOLA, and Crescent Counter was literally around the corner of our hotel. - PARKING- No parking lot here, just walked on over from our hotel! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - It's a small shop, with little sitting room and honestly standing room even. This is definitely a grab and go type of business! There's a display case with their available pastries, and you order at the front right next to it. It only took a few minutes for the staff to get a few customers' orders in, then they went to working on the drinks. - DRINK - Cafe Au Lait: I love getting Cafe Au Laits here in NOLA, and Crescent Counter did it well! You can't really go wrong with this drink! - OVERALL - If I happen to stay nearby again, I will definitely pop in to give this place more business! read more

It looked so inviting, and is locally owned, so we decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad we did! The baked goods were worth to stop alone. We had the bacon, egg and cheese croissant and the almond/raspberry croissant. Both were scrumptious! They were perfectly buttery and flaky. I had a latte and my fiancé had a mocha latte. Both tasted great, but weren't as hot as we like. The coffee was more like 4/5 stars, because of the temperature, but the baked goods were 20/10; out of this world.! read more

I went and got a smoothie but my.husband wanted to get breakfast and coffee here. The shop was cute and clean. My husband had asked for food recommendation. Employee didnt offer any. My husband went to order the blueberry muffin. The employee told him not that and recommended the biscuit. My husband ordered that and a coffee. He really enjoyed the biscuit. He thought it was really thick and said it would have been good with gravy. The coffee had a cute heart shape in it. The bar and seats at the window make for good workspace or conversational moments. The coffee is smooth. You can tell there is love and craft going into each cup. It doesn't come out burnt.
