    Iced vanilla latte to-go!
    Tiffany F.

Out of all of the coffee shops in my area this is the one I frequent most. It's right across the street from my house, and is always open when I need them. Coffee is always fresh and tasty, and the barista's are super friendly and Now know me by my name. Akeyla is my favorite barista. She remembers what I order and it's very fast when I'm in a hurry.

Ordered a matcha latte, avocado toast, and shrimp and grits to share. The avocado toast was good. The shrimp and grits tasted good, but I wasn't able to taste the shrimp. Matcha latte was good, hard to mess that up. Overall, pleasant experience. Portions are small for what you pay, but understandable due to it being a more artsy cafe.

Billed as "part coffee shop, part lounge, part remote office and part meeting spot", I would argue it is also "part game room, part photo op, and part uber waiting room". The instantly welcoming place is a strikingly whimsical and texturally busy space for the hotel, which is something lacking from the Virgin in Chicago. (The hotel, not D'anthony, the zoo volunteer that speaks Mandalorian). The musically-pumpin' place is comfortable, though a little to sterile to be truly cozy. Knick-knack kitschy, it's a perfect setting for a Richard Scarry book, filled to the rim with games, books, plants, lamps, art, a mannequin in a bunny suit that manages to not be out of place, and pillows with patterns so singular they can only be described as "Joann's clearance bin", all splashed with more red than a Ron Howard family reunion under the two suns of Tattooine. The blackberry mocha was good, but my wife liked the pisatchio mocha the best. A place for $6 drips (Columbe), $3 cookies, $8 bagels, and $18 breakfast sandwiches (hot breakfast options run $17-24) this place is the only thing funding Virgin Galactic. Five stars for offering free infused water, though they only fill it once. They should refill it at 5 because we were the ones manhandling it like a stolen ATM, shaking out the last drops like Steve Martin's canteen in Three Amigos. If you're familiar with other the effelles (F.L.'s, you can steal that, Richie Rich), this one ranked the highest (4.5) compared to Nashville (4.4), Dallas (4.1), and Vegas (3.8).

Delicious food! A wonderful option we ate at daily for breakfast while at the hotel! The grits are to die for. Really loved the avocado toast too.

Hehe the bunny guy is indeed funny (iykyk), and it is indeed a library, oh it's more than a library too :) actually a coffee shop if you didn't catch it in the photos, maybe the coolest baristas and staff, so professional and personable yes, you are in a hotel, but something about this place feels so strange, lovely, yet distinct.

Funny how? Last year during our stay at the Virgin Hotel, I'd let my wife sleep as I grabbed my morning coffee. Once I had my coffee, I'd go to the lounge, find a leather chair and just chill. 2022, I'm staying at a different hotel close by. I still want that outrageous Cortado! Last week I walked in like I owned the joint. These baristas know how to use that coffee maker, nothing but the best provided by Sir Richard. One Cortado please. I grab my freshly made, amazing coffee. I sit next to the white rabbit and smile. I'm back.

Stayed in the Virgin Hotel, and stopped in to Funny Library before heading to the airport. I'm always encouraged when the barista warns me that my macchiato will be tiny - that means they know what they're doing! It was delicious, and my plain bagel with cream cheese didn't disappoint either. My friends were pleased with their food orders as well! Such a fun atmosphere - I think it would take a long time to run out of quirky things to amuse yourself with. My only complaint is that the 20% off coupon I received as part of my stay was apparently only valid the first day of my stay, but I believe that is on the hotel, not Funny Library!

This is the cute little coffee shop in the lobby of the Virgin hotel- eclectic decor and a great place to meet a client or colleague before heading out for the day. It's 100% enclosed/indoors so no outside seating but that's also good for inclement weather. Very narrow menu but basics to start you day: coffee, latte, etc and a few pastries.

Lies! Beautiful cappuccino/croissant I saw on yelp vs what I got. Sorry to be a jerk, but to the people who made that...What the??

Located on the first floor of the Virgin Hotel New Orleans is a peculiar, colorful, and eccentric Cafe. This eclectic 'library' features a lovely selection of drinks and small-eats. A great little stop to enjoy a drink...and play "I spy" with the unique decor'! I loved the fun vibe and atmosphere, however both my husband and I's drinks were not very good. We ended up tossing both ours out before drinking even half of each.

The vibes here are unbeatable - a perfect blend of modern, artistic ambiance with nods to New Orleans' rich cultural heritage, making it feel like more than just a coffee shop; it's like sipping your latte in an inspiring gallery space. The natural light, sleek design, and subtle artistic touches created such a productive yet relaxed atmosphere for our discussion. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome right away with their warm smiles and spot-on recommendations. Everything about the service was top-notch - efficient without feeling rushed, and genuinely engaging. I went for the brown sugar iced latte, which tasted just like a delicious coffee cake, and paired it with a fresh pastry that was flaky and flavorful. They even have unique offerings like bottled cold brew for on-the-go, and as a Black-owned spot with a focus on community and creativity (they've got books and art integrations too!), it stands out in a city full of great cafes. If you're looking for a unique place to meet, work, or just unwind, Mr. Wolf is a must-visit. Great place for vibes, focus & overall damn good coffee.

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! We will be back.

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (one being only 2 years old), and because of that they changed our table type from a 4-top to a 5-top and made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Meanwhile, multiple tables became available that easily could have accommodated us, but the hostess was determined to keep telling us we had to wait. To make matters worse, there was open bench seating in the back where customers ordering to-go could sit. I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service experience.
