Not sure what others see. $5! for just an espresso and wasn't served with sparkling water or presented fancy. They use torani syrups and no house made anything. Would expect better quality for the price. Boring. Beans are from Michigan so not local but the shot was balanced and nutty. Bathrooms are part of the rest of building and not nice. On my local coffee place while traveling, I found Mr. Wolf. The space is located inside the lobby of the Contemporary Arts Center of NO. The cafe walls are adorned with prints of past NOJ&HF posters and other pieces of art and the space itself is bright and airy and cozy. The lovely woman behind the counter, my assumption, is the owner. She was kind and gracious. My breve iced mocha was perfect for the New Orleans humidity and made to perfection, not too sweet, and not masking the flavor of the coffee. It'll be one of my go-to places the next time I'm in town. read more

Easy to miss - tucked inside a contemporary art building that doesn't open until 11! Serves mainly drinks. Has just a few pastries, and they ran out by 9:30am. Don't go looking for breakfast. Drink menu is standard and posted on a glass partition so hard to see and read. The coffee was great - we had a decaf latte and iced vanilla latte. However - the wait is long. With only one barista hand making each drink we waited ~10 solid minutes. Just plan ahead. There are no other coffee shops in the area so they do get busy. Fortunately it's also a little book shop so you can browse the books while you wait. read more

Honestly, it tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal milk in the best way possible. It was perfectly spiced, creamy, and I didn't get an artificial aftertaste from the sugar-free syrup. I've been to many coffee shops in the city in the past week, and I would confidently say this was the best iced mocha I've gotten. Most of the coffees I got just didn't have the flavor and tasted too watery, but this was perfect. The coffee bean flavor is perfect and they use torani sweeteners which is just ideal. I absolutely loved it! There isn't much seating though so expect to grab your coffee and go somewhere else. read more

This place is so cute! Is very modern with its glass aesthetic. It's located inside of this building with a lot of suites, but it's directly to the right when you walk into the building. I also love that they have black artwork on the wall. The barista was very friendly and helped me decide between the London fog, and a chai. I ended up choosing a chai, with the milk alternative, oat milk. There is an up charge for having a milk alternative though. I've only seen metered parking here, do you have to pay to park if you don't live nearby/are in the area. But there are usually plenty of parking spaces when I come in the early afternoon late morning. read more

The vibes!!!! It's so relaxed in here. The large scale modern art is lovely and the music is just the right mood for reading or working or sipping an espresso. I brought headphones but didn't need or want to use them. They have a basic but solid coffee menu and a simple pastry/sandwich lunch offering. Today's was turkey and cheddar on a croissant. A cortado and a sandwich was just enough to keep me going for the afternoon. Chips or plain croissant available. It is chill and welcoming. Dropped by when I was in town for a conference, and I am so glad I did! Mr Wolf is tucked inside of the CAC Atrium, and can be easy to miss if you're just walking down the street. Despite being a conference week, since it's further out from the convention center, it was not packed at all. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and our drinks were ready quickly, too! I opted for two drinks: hot peppermint tea and an iced chai. The peppermint tea is hard to mess up, admittedly, but my iced chai was delicious! I also grabbed a warmed chocolate croissant (which I don't think are made in house) but it was heavenly! This place is artsy, but welcoming. Seems like the perfect place to drop in get some work done, or study. It wasn't overly loud or crowded, and there was plenty of space between the seating available. read more

I visited Mr. Wolf Espresso a couple of times during my work conference at the convention center. While it's not the closest coffee shop to the convention center, it's definitely a step up from the nearby Starbucks and PJ's. The vibes inside are fantastic--very artsy, with lots of art to enjoy while you wait for your coffee. The same barista was working both days, and she was incredibly nice and was running the shop solo, so you know she's killing it. If you're at the convention center, I highly recommend taking the short walk to Mr. Wolf Espresso. It's a nice break from the chaos, and you'll be supporting a great local spot. read more

As far as coffee shops go, Mr. Wolf is top tier. The matcha lattes are great and other tea drinks are great. I'll admit I'm not a big coffee drinker so I don't have much to offer in terms of coffee critique. The ambiance is amazing- the music is definitely my taste so I never feel like I need to have headphones on. There's so much natural lighting which is perfect to highlight all of the amazing art work that fills the space. I'm always happy into visit Mr. Wolf and chop it up with Lashae and Wayne the owner. Very cool people and lovely couple. Mr. Wolf is definitely in my top three coffee shops in the city! read more

The cafe is inside the Contemporary Arts Center, a beautiful brick building, but easy to find. The barista is very helpful and friendly. My latte was delicious- balanced and creamy.
