I walked up without a reservation and was able to sit at the last available seat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered my drink, but I told him to surprise me with the food. They didn't have any salmon available, so that eliminated the two dishes I really had my eyes on. To my complete surprise, I ended up with white chocolate bread pudding pancakes. I would have never ordered that on my own, but WOW! I was immediately impressed from the first bite! It was so decadent, there was no need for syrup. And I appreciate the restaurant offering a pork alternative for breakfast meat. I opted for the chicken sausage patties. I wish I could have finished my plate; I was just full as a tick and couldn't down another bite. Great food and better customer service! read more

A group of four of us went to lunch after arriving from NY. The wait to sit us down was quick. Our food took over an hour for us to receive. According to the manager the food was served to another table. The hot honey French toast was hard. The biscuit and gravy was delicious. The gravy had sausage which gave it a kick. The coastrican meal was amazing, I wish they had added more Maduro. Although we had a long wait the food was great and I will come back again. read more

Cute breakfast spot. Kaylyn was my server and she was so nice! I had a breakfast platter with grits, fruit, eggs and a biscuit. Everything was yummy and the price was good too. The biscuit was so buttery and my favorite part of the meal. I also had orange juice and it was good. Great value for the money. Plenty of seats and the restaurant is ADA accessible. read more

Seriously. This place is awesome! Clean and a bit loud from conversations. Not a problem though. I came here solo first and got the bacon infused Bloody Mary. Holy moly. So great! Dangerous too if you have a few I'm sure. I then had the Chicken St Charles Benedict. Really dam good. Side of bacon. Coffee. A great breakfast. Later, when my wife was ready to grab something, we came back. She got a Benedict. The eggs were over. When she asked for one more egg that was poached right, Tommie brought two perfectly poached eggs. Nice and runny yolks. I then ordered the fried green tomatoes. Those come with a salad and more importantly a bacon onion jam that is out of this world good! Great service from a super awesome and friendly staff. Great good. Great value. Oh, and they Bloody Mary? I'd like another right now. read more

The breakfast we had here was oustanding! Absolutely delicious. We stayed at an Airbnb that was within walking distance so we scoped this place out for breakfast the night before. It was a great decision. We were treated very well here. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant when we arrived, so we got great service. I ordered the creamy vanilla spiced latte to start and it was so good. I needed more kick (caffeine) so I ordered the iced vanilla latte and it was just what I needed. For breakfast, I had the migas. Let me tell you, I will come all the way back to NOLA just for that dish. It had everything you need. Crunch, spice, delicious eggs made just right. 10/10 experience. I'd definitely come back read more

I was in NOLA for like 20hours on a work mission. and i decided to have breakfast here. Everyone at the hotel i was staying recommended it. So i gave it a shot Im from NYC so i had to try theyre Bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. And i will tell you it was official. I told them instead of a roll put it on a biscuit. (Which they make inhouse) and wow. Every bite was a happy moment. Eggs were fluffy, the cheese was melted just rite! Also had some grits, that was good too but who can mess up grits. The service was also great! They did move at a slower pace but thats only cus im use to that city speed. But it was all worth it once the food came out. read more

Happy bellies here! This location is much smaller from the one on Magazine St., but I love the charm and intimate feeling this one brings. The Ruby Slipper's menu had so many options to choose from, it was tough to choose. I was between the southern breakfast plate and the fried chicken on French toast but opted for the southern plate to try their biscuit and fried green tomato. I also tried the shrimp and grits which I def recommend. Service was friendly and attentive as well. read more

Every time I come here it's always delicious. The service is top tier! I sit at the bar and Norman has been the bartender the last two times and he's always great. I came last year for my birthday and this year again he provided excellent service and the food and drinks top tier! The pride momosa flight and the peach Paloma-Rita both delicious!!! I recommend it to everyone at least once. I always get the catfish and grits they never miss! But I try the other people's food I'm with and they still slap! Best Birthday Breakfast! The food here was absolutely delicious! The service was fantastic! Everyone was so friendly and they're also very quick considering how busy it is in there. I was visiting from California and found this place because we were looking for brunch. I do recommend adding your name and your number in your party into the waitlist because it does get very busy and the wait times can be very long. When we arrived, there was already a whole bunch of people waiting outside of the café, but luckily, we already had our names in the waitlist as we were in our Uber from our hotel to the restaurant. read more

I had "The Peacemaker". You can choose two of tbeir fabulous Egg Benedict plates. I chose the (1) Pork Benny and (2) Shrimp on Fried Tomato with Creole Tomato Sauce. Both on housemade biscuits vs. English Muffin. Yum! Service was good. Yelp! made it easy to track the progess of our reservation. I had to ask for extra Hollandaise sauce because my pork Benny plate was a little dry. My eggs were a tad overcooked. No drippy yums! :/... Delicious flavors, regardless, with the pork tasso and creole tomato sauces. Iʻd go again. read more

There's a couple of locations of this breakfast-lunch eatery, and our group found ourselves in the one near Canal. It's a bit small inside, and there's a few outdoor seats, so it feels a little cramped. Menu is familiar as it's got a lot of local Cajun type of dishes. I got the following: - Catfish and Grits - 6.5/10: presentation was nice. But there was way more breading than actual catfish. The filet portions are really small. Not a good ratio from the typical cornmeal jacket to filet. A little disappointing. - NOLA Style Iced Coffee - 8/10: Terrific chickory beverage. Very smooth. Anyway, the menu is big enough to probably call for another visit, so I'll update this review some time in the future. read more

Ruby Slipper is the quintessential destination for brunch when visiting NOLA. With numerous locations located in the area it's like you can't not stop by and try them out. They are so popular you almost always have to sign up for the waitlist online but I promise you it will always be worth the wait. This visit we decided to try a variety of menu options. - Bayou Shrimp and Chicken St. Charles Bennies were flavorful and delicious and served on their world famous biscuits. If I remember correctly I believe our server said they serve over 2-3 million biscuits per year. I can 100% see why, they are some of the best homemade biscuits you'll ever have. - Southern Breakfast with a side of pancakes all were good and filing (you'll see how big the pancakes are in my pictures) -Sweet Heat Chicken & French Toast Bites were cooked to perfection and flavorful. Do yourself a favor, if you're in NOLA go ahead and stop by Ruby Slipper they have a variety of tasty brunch items that won't leave you disappointed! read more

Love that they have yelp waitlist. This is a great option as they do have a wait. Hostess was very kind and helpful. We were quickly seated after checking in. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food quality was not worth it. I have been to another Ruby Slippers location and found the food to be great. Perhaps it's this location, or the combination of the timing being the weekend following superbowl and preparation for Mardi Gras. Coffee was great no complaints. Eggs Cochon Benedict came out with the eggs overcooked and no yolk to be found. Waiter was kind to bring out some fresh ones, but unfortunately when I cut into the pork and biscuit both were cold. He took it back and came out with a new plate. Unfortunately it wasn't better so I ate the eggs and biscuit. At another location it was served hot and the yolks ran all over the pork and biscuit. Sadly this location was either having an off day or just overwhelmed with the amount of people. My fiancés shrimp and grits was better than the Cochon dish, but nothing to give rave reviews about. While their customer service and ease of being out on the waitlist was great, we won't be back. read more

Tho restaurant is super popular! We got on the waitlist from our phones, but didn't make it to the restaurant in time. We immediately made another request to get back on the waitlist and was sat after about 20 minutes. The restaurant is tiny but very packed. The waitstaff were all great, especially considering how busy it was. Unfortunately, for my small group, the food and drinks were either incorrect, or they didn't measure up to our taste. The fried green tomatoes I ordered seemed to lack the actual tomatoes- it tasted almost like just fried batter with the dressings. The drinks were overly sweet but presented nicely. We all left pretty hungry, but I would give the restaurant another try during a not so busy time of the year. We may have just come at a bad time. read more

Came here with 3 of my friends. The space is very casual, with cute NOLA/Ruby Slipper-themed decor. The mimosa flight, appetizers (fried green tomatoes and candy bacon) and entrees were all 3/5 or3.5/5 - solid breakfast food, nothing stood out as particularly bad or great. Now the service was fabulous! Everyone we interacted with was attentive, friendly, welcoming and hilarious on top of all that! They made a simple breakfast very memorable. read more

Absolutely one of the best mainstream restaurants we tried! I consider it mainstream because it is very popular online and it seems to have lines out of the door (we usually go for the hole in the wall in New Orleans) but this place was outstanding! We had the Chantilly pancakes, veggie omelette, kids pancake and bacon, and the amazing shrimp and grits! The shrimp and grits literally melt it in your mouth. The grits were cooked so well that you would never know they were a grain. The shrimp were tender, season to perfection and they gave a good amount. Online I did the waitlist and my table was about 20 minutes overdue. We walked in and they took us right away. Do not let the line intimidate you. You might get lucky and be able to find a seat that fit your party still. The servings were huge, the service was outstanding! I believe our waiters name was Chris and he was awesome. There's definitely no parking so plan ahead. read more

Do not trust the hype!! I'm honestly not sure how Ruby Slipper has such a high rating on Yelp after this experience. We joined the waitlist at 9:37 AM, were seated at 10:20 AM, and didn't receive our food until after 11:10 AM. That's over an hour and a half from waitlist to food -- completely unreasonable for breakfast. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best and absolutely not worth the long wait. To make matters worse, the restaurant was noticeably dirty, which made the whole experience even more disappointing. With so many great breakfast spots around, this one just didn't live up to the hype. Such as disappointment coming all the way from NYC. read more

We always visit the Slipper on Magazine St but on this occasion, we had breakfast at this locale. This is southern cuisine at its finest whether you are there for breakfast or their awesome brunch. Biscuits and gravy are a must order. Don't fancy gravy order the biscuit and you will be comparing their off the chart flaky biscuits to all others and be disappointed that you are not at the Slipper. On this visit I ordered their Spanish omelet, and it was just stuffed with chorizo and veggies. I made sure to include a biscuit. This breakfast stayed with me throughout the day. I did notice that an adjoining diner ordered their Costa Rican breakfast. Warning: It was huge, and you could easily split this dish. Service on this visit was Meh. The waiter at the next table was outgoing and even offered to go drinks to his table. Ours appeared to be doing us a favor by taking our order and bringing us a 2nd coffee. This is out of the Norm as we always have great friendly service. Pro tip: Their adult drinks are heavy pours so enjoy! read more

I'd literally been told I had to go here so many times that by the time I landed in New Orleans, I pretty much made a beeline straight for this legendary cafe. This cafe is located right outside Jackson Square right off the waterfront. They are open late, as they close at either 11p or 12am every day. When we went in the middle of the afternoon, the place was very busy as it was hard to find a table in their outside patio, so we settled for a table in the indoor section(A/C SCORE!!). The ground was littered with powdered sugar as customers like myself don't always understand how to eat these beignets without making a big mess. The beignets themselves were pretty inexpensive as they cost only $4.53 for a 3-pack. I also got a large frozen coffee for $7.70. The beignets were delivered to our table very fast and very warm. The movie "Chef" says you only get your first bite of your first beignet from Cafe Du Monde once in your life and to cherish the moment and I do truly understand what they meant with that quote. These beignets were so great and that first bite with the powdered sugar explosion was so amazing-I really enjoyed the recklessness of having a beignet at Cafe Du Monde. Overall, I feel that anyone who visits New Orleans has to find their way to this legendary cafe and enjoy this dish that has been served since 1862. A really great bite!.

When it comes to breakfast and brunch spots in New Orleans, The Ruby Slipper on 204 Decatur is a true standout. As someone who has had their fair share of eggs benedicts, I can confidently say that this charming establishment delivers a dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. One of the highlights at The Ruby Slipper is their exceptional eggs benedicts. In particular, the Trifecta featuring three different variations of this classic dish left me in awe. Each benedict surpassed the last in terms of flavor and execution. The pièce de résistance was undoubtedly the perfect hollandaise sauce that graced each of the eggs. Its velvety texture and rich flavor elevated every bite to new heights of indulgence. But let's talk about the seafood. The Gulf shrimp benedict showcased the freshest, most succulent shrimp I have ever tasted. Their natural sweetness shone through, perfectly complementing the other components of the dish. And the fried chicken benedict? Well, the crispy chicken atop the benedict was a revelation. Its golden exterior gave way to juicy and tender meat, adding a delightful twist to this breakfast classic. What truly sets The Ruby Slipper apart is their unparalleled execution and ability to weave a captivating culinary tale through their dishes. The attention to detail is evident in every bite. The sauce accompanying the benedicts was flawlessly emulsified, striking the perfect balance of richness and tanginess. And let's not forget about the poached eggs--the yolks were a work of art, boasting an impeccable "jammy" consistency that added an extra layer of decadence. During my visit, my wife had the fried chicken and French toast dish. This creation showcased the restaurant's creativity and culinary prowess. The execution was flawless, and the French toast had a unique twist reminiscent of panzanella or French toast croutons. It was a delightful departure from the ordinary, leaving a lasting impression on our palates. The Ruby Slipper not only excels in culinary innovation but also provides impeccable service. The staff's attention to detail and genuine passion for their craft is evident from the moment you step through the door. The servers are knowledgeable, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. If you find yourself in the vibrant city of New Orleans, a visit to The Ruby Slipper is an absolute must. This gem of a restaurant seamlessly combines creativity, flawless execution, and exceptional service. Whether you're a local or a visitor, The Ruby Slipper is sure to leave an indelible mark on your culinary journey. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. read more

Title: A Culinary Gem with a Dash of Quirk: Ruby Slipper Cafe Review Nestled in the heart of New Orleans , Louisiana the Ruby Slipper Cafe offers a tantalizing fusion of flavors and a memorable dining experience that captures the essence of Southern cuisine. During a recent visit, I had the pleasure of indulging in their renowned biscuits and gravy, a dish that left an indelible mark on my taste buds. The biscuits and gravy at Ruby Slipper Cafe are a triumph of culinary artistry. The biscuits, baked to perfection, boasted a delicate balance of flakiness and tenderness. Paired with a rich and flavorful gravy that was a symphony of savory notes, this dish provided a hearty and comforting culinary encounter. The marriage of textures and taste was a true testament to the kitchen's dedication to quality and creativity. While the cuisine was undeniably a highlight, the service left something to be desired. Our waiter, regrettably, fell short of delivering the kind of attentive and polished service one might expect from an establishment of this caliber. However, amidst this minor setback, a shining star emerged in the form of Brian, a dishwasher with an infectious sense of humor. His presence injected a delightful touch of levity into the dining experience, turning what could have been a lackluster encounter into an unforgettable one. Brian's wit and charm resonated with patrons and provided a refreshing and unexpected layer of entertainment. In summary, the Ruby Slipper Cafe exudes an undeniable charm with its delectable dishes and quirky personalities. While the waiter's service left room for improvement, the true gem of the visit was the culinary artistry that graced our table. Furthermore, the unexpected joy brought forth by dishwasher Brian added an unexpected and memorable twist to our dining adventure. For those seeking a blend of Southern comfort food and a touch of lighthearted amusement, the Ruby Slipper Cafe is a destination well worth exploring. read more

As a devoted fan of the Ruby family, my expectations were sky-high when I stepped into the Ruby Slipper Cafe in New Orleans after my delightful experiences at their sister restaurant, Ruby Sunrise in Charleston, SC. I'm thrilled to report that the Ruby Slipper not only met but exceeded those expectations, firmly establishing itself as a #ThatBrunchLife essential. From the moment I walked in, the warmth of Southern hospitality enveloped me. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and an eagerness to make my dining experience memorable. The atmosphere was a cozy embrace, with a vibrant yet comforting decor that paid homage to the soul of New Orleans. The menu was a love letter to Southern cuisine with an innovative twist. Each dish I tried was a masterpiece, but the standout was their signature Eggs Cochon - a decadent masterpiece of slow-cooked apple-braised pork debris over a biscuit, topped with perfectly poached eggs and hollandaise. It was a symphony of flavors that danced harmoniously on the palate. Comparing it to Ruby Sunrise in Charleston, where the shrimp and grits reign supreme, the Ruby Slipper holds its own with distinctive flair and an unmistakable New Orleans charm. It's clear that both establishments share a commitment to quality, flavor, and an unforgettable dining experience. In every aspect, from the attentive service to the mouthwatering cuisine, the Ruby Slipper Cafe is a beacon of #ThatBrunchLife and Southern hospitality. Whether you're a local or just passing through, missing out on this gem would be a culinary crime. The Ruby Slipper isn't just a restaurant; it's a celebration of the spirit of the South, and I can't wait to return. read more

While visiting the Big Easy during Mardi Gras, I was in the mood for brunch. After visiting the Ruby Slipper a couple of times, knew it was time to go back. The Decatur location was closest to me & glad I went. There was a line & I was greeted at the host stand by Stanley. Stanley gladly took my name but I asked if there happen to be a spot at the bar for just one. He turned around & told me to wait a couple of minutes as he cleared me a spot. Sat me down quick with a smile. Was immediately acknowledged by one of the bartenders saying they would be right with me. Kelli & Jaylynn were working that day. Started my day with an Irish coffee & it truly hit the spot. It did take a moment for me to decide, but didn't feel rushed. Yes, Kelli & Jaylynn checked on me, but only to see if I was ready & encouraged me to take my time. After a couple of moment, I chose the southern breakfast. It was the fried green tomato that sold me. Yes, it was simple, but extremely satisfying. And, that fried green tomato, was better than expected. The service at The Ruby Slipper was outstanding. Our waiter, a terrific young gentleman, was attentive, professional, and stayed on his toes to make sure we had everything we needed. The decor was true to the restaurant's name--fun, vibrant, and welcoming. Other patrons were also very friendly, adding to the warm atmosphere. As for the food, I really enjoyed the Chicken Benedict--it was flavorful and satisfying. However, the Shrimp Benedict was a bit of a letdown, as it only came with three small shrimp, which felt underwhelming. My friend ordered the Salmon Omelette with grits and a biscuit, and they said it was absolutely delicious. Here's how we rated the dishes: Chicken Biscuit: 9/10 Shrimp Biscuit: 6/10 Salmon Omelette Plate: 9/10 Overall, while the service and ambiance were great, the menu didn't quite match my personal preferences--mainly because I don't eat pork, and I found the non-pork options somewhat limited. I recently dined at Ruby Slipper and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. Although the food preparation took a while, the wait was well worth it as the food was absolutely delicious. From the appetizers to the entrees, every dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. I would highly recommend the food here. While the drinks were average, they were advertised as award-winning and amazing, which was a bit disappointing. However, this was a minor setback in an otherwise great dining experience. I was impressed with how easy it was to make a reservation and while the waitlist said it would be an hour, I only had to wait 30 minutes before being seated. The staff was nice and attentive, making sure my dining experience was enjoyable. The ambiance of the restaurant was also great - it had a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that was perfect for a relaxing meal. Ruby Slipper on Decatur Street is a fantastic spot for a hearty, Southern-inspired breakfast or brunch. The warm, lively atmosphere immediately sets the tone for a great dining experience, and the menu is full of indulgent options that showcase New Orleans flair. I couldn't resist ordering the Biscuits and Gravy, and they were incredible. The biscuits were perfectly fluffy, and the gravy was rich, creamy, and full of flavor--just the way it should be. It's true comfort food at its best. The candied bacon was a standout as well. Sweet, smoky, and perfectly crisp, it was the perfect balance of flavors and a delicious addition to the meal. I came to New Orleans for a quick trip and was craving a good breakfast. After seeing glowing reviews on Yelp, TikTok, and hearing personal recommendations, I thought Ruby Slipper would be a great choice. However, I have to say, I was left a bit underwhelmed. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the diverse dining scene in Houston, but Ruby Slipper felt extremely basic and average. We ordered several things off the menu, and honestly, nothing really stood out. There was nothing particularly unique or memorable about any of the dishes we tried. It was all fine, but not impressive by any means. If you're in the mood for a quick, no-frills breakfast, Ruby Slipper could work, but there are definitely better and more unique breakfast spots around New Orleans that I'd recommend exploring. The food here just didn't offer anything special to make it stand out in a city known for its incredible food scene. read more

Ruby Slipper is a cute and cozy brunch spot with a Creole fusion twist, and overall, it was a great experience! I started with a creamy vanilla latte topped with nutmeg and whipped cream, which was delicious--just a bit sweeter than I usually prefer, but still really well made. For my main dish, I had the French toast with fried chicken, strawberries, and maple syrup. The flavors worked beautifully together, but it was definitely a heavy dish, and I wish there had been something like whipped cream or a light topping to balance it out. We also tried the catfish with grits, which was another solid choice. Overall, Ruby Slipper is a great spot for brunch, but just know that the dishes lean toward the rich and indulgent side. The Ruby Slipper Cafe is a breakfast and lunch spot in the heart of downtown. They have amazing food and fast service, so you can't go wrong with this place! They serve everything from omelets to waffles, and they're all made fresh right in front of you. The coffee is great as well--they use beans from local roasters, which makes it even more special. The food is very filling, so I recommend ordering one of their sandwiches or salads if you're looking for something lighter. But if you want something that will fill up your entire stomach, then this is definitely the place for you! The only downside? If you're coming here during peak hours (between 8am and 10am), expect to wait for at least 15 minutes before being seated. It's worth it though--the food is worth it! read more

The food here was absolutely excellent! The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The restaurant was on the noisier side, though still manageable to talk without shouting. My only complaint was that the tables felt sticky and not very well cleaned, which was a little disappointing. That said, the food truly stood out -- especially the Eggs Benedict. We look the fact that they have these duo options They have a list of like 8 eggs benedict and 6 specialty pancakes so they have options you can do 2 different types and try multiple options in one meal. Our waitress Jackie took great care of us! The Eggs benedict with the chicken and pork tasso sauce was The cinnamon roll pancake was really good too. read more

Well, I came back AGAIN & brought a couple of friends this time!! Instead of sitting at the bar to chat up with the wonderful staff, we had the pleasure of having Misty. She was an absolute delight & it was BUSY. We enjoyed our food & drinks. Again, I had the Irish Coffee & my friends had the milk punch. Got to taste it & it was tasty. Thanks again Misty for giving another enjoyable experience. Hope to see you again when I come back. Sorry, no pics. We were hungry & y'all hit the spot!!! read more

Ruby slipper was EXACTLY what I needed on Sunday. My wife and I were greeted completely hung over by the host (Bailey?) who was super cool and said we wouldn't wait to long and directed us to the end of the bar to order a drink while we waited. Jennifer took the order quick and had us back to life. We were stoked after sitting at the bar with Jennifer and Airy! Super attentive and excellent service. Definitely check out the seasonal menu. Crawfish cake starter is a must if you like seafood. read more

From the moment we walked up, we were greeted with that true Southern hospitality -- the host (who somehow picked up on our Seattle vibe right away) made us feel right at home. Maria and her team were absolutely wonderful, treating us like old friends. And the food? Lord have mercy, it was so good! Every bite was pure comfort and flavor. My advice? Don't even think twice -- just go! I'll be back first thing tomorrow morning for round two. read more

The Sweet and Hot Entree is a delicious combination of crispy French toast bites and juicy chicken coated in a sweet and spicy honey glaze. However, the French toast bites could have been less crispy. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and she made our dining experience a memorable one. Overall, I would definitely recommend Ruby Slipper to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying brunch. read more

But the food & vibe legit slaps!! They killed it, hands down. I had a pistachio hot latte & the Seafood Benedict. My food came out hot & fresh before my latte did. I will admit the latte was good but i didnt taste any pistachio, but it's cool- id just ask for more next time, not something major that i'd straight up dock a star for. I thought I was legit gonna need the Tabasco because, guys, let's be real- hollindaise can be a little underwhelming from place to place. The stories about the line are true: it was mid morning on a Sunday, and there was definitely a line, but we put in for a table for three and were seated within 20 minutes. First up was a bloody mary, the canonical brunch beverage, and it was a winner. Dressed with some nice veggies in handled jar, it was delicious and refreshing. As for the food, I was torn between a couple of the benedicts, so I ended up combining and getting crab cake and andouille sausage, both on the same croissant. It was delicious if a bit much; I ended up taking half to go. The crab cake was substantial in size, with a good crab to cake ratio, and the sauce which was touted to be excellent, certainly was. This was a very tasty breakfast. The decor was very cute and bright, and our server had a great smile and proper NOLA accent, tending to all of our needs with aplomb. It was a great experience, and one I'd do again for sure.
