Black Truffle Deviled Egg

The Peacock Room brunch was phenomenal! The decor is amazing and the environment is so fun and lively. Hector was fantastic and took such great care of our large group with patience and attentiveness. The food was delicious across the board. We ordered the brunch tower and loved it. It's a lot of food, so it's perfect for sharing. You might add a salad, but you really don't need more than one shared dish for the table. They also have espresso martini towers, which are definitely on my list to try next time. I absolutely love the vibes here--it's such a fun place to brunch and take some cute photos!

This is a beautiful place to have a cocktail and chill out. They have live music some nights and that makes it especially nice for a date night. Due to the holidays they have a Holiday Cocktail Menu you can choose from. I got the Blackberry Magpie and Truffle Fries and it was indeed delicious. They were restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating during my visit. I would certainly recommend this place. It is Beautiful!

Gorgeous space, mediocre over priced food, but great service (although we were running late and they told us they couldn't move our reservation, but during our entire service there were 7+ open tables).

Beautiful bar inside the Kimpton Hotel with sumptuous velvet lounge chairs and couches. The daily happy hour is from 4-6pm. I really enjoyed the Wheel of Fortune cocktail which was bartender's choice of what you drink. The Peacock fries and vermouth marinated olives were delicious snacks that filled me up. My server was friendly and attentive.

Peacock Fries Curry Cashews House Made Focaccia

The Peacock room a is a lovely space. We visited for dinner and probably should have just gone for drinks. The drinks were lovely, the service was good. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food however was problematic. We started with the focaccia which was toasted with melted butter but also had a side of butter, never thought I would say too much better but it was. The curry cashews however were nice. We ordered the blue crab bucatini, there was no crab to be found and the seasoning was non existent. It sounded promising but even adding salt could not fix the dish. The next dish that fell flat was the spicy shrimp, the shrimp was over cooked, dry and stale. The burger was delicious and the parmesan fries were good. If you want ambience and tasty drinks I would say definitely visit, I am not sure about the food, maybe it was a bad day.

This place was a vibe!!! Came here for my mother's bday dinner with my little sisters. The food was reasonably priced for the portion received and tasted incredible. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would def recommend! Need to go back and try their happy hour specials

Goat Cheese Fondue and Magnolia 45

This place was gorgeous and had a nice calm atmosphere. The decor was absolutely lovely! We had the Magnolia 45 cocktail that was very refreshing along with the Goat Cheese Fondue. The fondue was delicious and rich and paired perfectly with the red wine onions. Our waitress was very informative about the menu which was very great. Definitely will be back!!

We had reservations for Mother's Day. We arrived and were greeted by the hostess. She was friendly and inviting. The Mothers were told that we could make our own bouquets of flowers. Nice touch! We were seated right away. The place is beautiful. I love the decor. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The Peacock Brunch Tower was simply delicious. The caviar and potato cakes were my favorite. I also tried the crispy Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. They were seasoned and cooked perfectly. For my entree, I ordered the crispy shrimp and grits. The grits were creamy and pretty tasty. I felt though that the dish needed that New Orleans kick. That's what I was missing.

This is such a beautifully decorated restaurant in the Kimpton hotel. It's hot a very lavish yet laid back atmosphere with wonderful booths, chandeliers and decor. My husband and I got a couple cocotails-hurricane and el pavo real. Both tasted good but were a bit on the smaller side. For dinner, we ordered a goat cheese fondue (it was not really a fondue-jyst whipped goat cheese w jam n Pistachios on top) which was served with warm pita to start. Entrees were the NOLA hot chicken sandwich (hubs said it tasted amazing) and the smoked tomato linguine pasta (only veg option for me). Everything was as expected. Service was friendly and to the point. Total came to about $110

Food was great. But I loved the ambiance here! Very dimly lit and romantic. Perfect for a night out with my guy. Service was great as well.

Old fashioned. Harder to mess this one up fortunately

My first happy hour cocktail was barely drinkable. Whatever mezcal they used in the paloma was really nasty. The braised short rib dumplings were a delicious bite! The other food was fine, a bit overpriced off the HH menu. Our server seemed new. The decor was spectacular! Loved the lavish peacock themed teal interior design.

Chorizo & Egg Chimichanga

The aesthetic of the restaurant is beautiful and so fun! Very unique and creative. The food was delicious. The truffle fries are a must. Everyone was very happy with their dishes! The chimichanga was good, the chicken sandwich was delicious, but the truffle fries were the star of the meal. My only regret is not trying the potato & caviar cakes but will next time! Such a cute brunch spot! Highly recommend!

Im finally writing a review for the Peacock Room! I've been here 4 times now and have enjoyed myself each time whether it be dinner, drinks, or brunch. I really like the interior design of the restaurant as well as the creativity with their cocktails. The service has always been good, Moon in particular is an excellent waitress! They serve quite fast and are very attentive. I think they have a good and consistent smash burger. Their cara mía holiday cocktail is divine! Love their truffle fries, brussels sprouts are also very good and crispy. We also enjoyed the short rib- great flavor and it was very tender over the mashed potatoes! A friend had the tuna and said it was very good and she would recommend it. A couple people were not a fan of the shrimp & grits- I didn't try it so I can't comment, but they were not up to par with the seasoning. They also allow you to split the check for large groups (8+) which is a huge pro. Overall, I will definitely continue recommending peacock room, particularly for apps & drinks or brunch. Awesome vibe.

Words simply cannot express how much I continue to be blown away by the exquisite quality of food,…read morebeverage, service, and uncommon hospitality demonstrated and perfectly executed by this New Orleans establishment. My wife and I visited on our first NoLa trip together about 4 years ago and make it a point to go every time now. Our first time we stopped in for lunch at the bar and had an excellent experience, and decided to return. We came back on the next trip just to grab a drink and a snack before heading down for dinner in the Bywater. The bartender (Chris) gave a bunch of recommendations for places to visit that way, all of which we have done in the past few trips and have loved. But it's this past trip where we were truly blown away. We were in town for JazzFest and after walking back to the French Quarter, we were thinking about food options and decided to take a gamble to see if we could get a seat at the bar or maybe grab a drink for the road before getting food somewhere else. The bar was full when we got there around 8/8:15, but they had a no show and could serve us, as long as we ordered quickly and were ok with the check hitting the table right at 9PM. Given our slightly (perhaps generous) inebriated state from being at the festival all day and being slightly underdressed, we felt this was quite a kind accommodation. With the clear expectations of needing to get our orders in quickly, we wasted no time making a decision on our drinks and a few food options. Despite this need for a quick turn around, at no time did we feel rushed. The food and drinks were absolutely perfect, as they always are. But what impressed us most was the staff. At no point did the hostess or wait staff seem annoyed by us, despite us parachuting in from a music festival and looking like sunburn and poor decisions. By managing expectations on the front end, we never felt rushed despite the need for a quick turn around. They were all lovely, professional, and as cordial as if we were regulars with standing reservations once a week. In terms of atmosphere, it is always perfect: lively and fun for a date night, dinner with friends/family, or just a nice drink before a night out and about. I truly cannot begin to explain how much I love this restaurant and every experience I've had there. The awards and accolades this establishment (a sincere and lofty term Jewel of the South truly deserves) have been awarded are beyond well earned. Restaurants around the country should aspire to provide the quality of food, service, and overall hospitality Jewel of the South provides on a regular basis. It will continue to be our first and foremost recommendation to anyone we know who is going to New Orleans. Bravo! We shall return!

Charming patio, and beautiful intimate interior with just 4 seats at the gorgeous bar and about 6 small tables inside. The cocktail menu is seasonal, and this spring, many were tea infused. We shared 5 small plates - the crawfish bread - crawfish inside a crispy, flaky croissant like bread - OMG deliciousness. Then the tufa crudo - so fresh and flavorful, the crab tartlets - fine, but not as good as the other dishes; excellent salad, and the broccolini in a housemade horseradish goat cheese sauce - wow; one of the best broccolini dishes we have had. The carrots looked amazing, too. What a treat!

While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. The murals, the history, and the energy of the room give it a sense of occasion that you do not get at most bars. We had such a great time sitting at the bar that my wife and I each finished two and a half Sazeracs, which tells you everything you need to know.

Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise. No frantic showboating, no syrupy cover ups, no sloppy pours even with the parade energy banging on the door. We ordered two and they were both dead on.
