Beautiful cocktail bar! We popped in for a round of drinks and a few bites before dinner at a nearby spot. Cocktails were creative and pretty spirit forward, but very well balanced. They offer three styles of drink, A-side, B-side, and Sample. These represent cocktail profiles equating to normal, lower proof or shots. We tried A and Sample, and I'd suggest sticking with the normal drinks. The Samples were intense! Bites were great, we tried the cracklings, crab fat popcorn, and the warm olives. I ordered the focaccia bread and it came out hot and fresh. It was absolutely delicious and served with two dipping sauces that made it even better. Such a strong start to the meal. Next I tried the oysters. They were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender inside. Each one had a little pickle on top and a sauce underneath that tied everything together. Excellent flavor and texture. Sadly my last oyster had some shells :( I also ordered the pork spare ribs and they did not disappoint. The meat fell right off the bone and was packed with flavor. Junebug is absolutely beautiful. I stopped by for drink with a friend and had a great time. There's a long hallway you walk down that opens up to this big beautiful space that has a vintage vibe to it. Dark themes with bright lights and exposed bricks gives a sexy, industrial theme that add to the relaxed and chill atmosphere. The art on the walls and the vintage horn type chandeliers add to personality and charm of the space. There's plenty of room when you walk in, whether you want to have a drink at the bar, sit with friends at the high tops or relax on the sofas. They even have another room with tables for dining and hanging out. The drinks were good, strong and not too pricey. I really enjoyed myself here. This was my second time at Junebug, and it was just as great as the first! This time I came for a wedding after-party with a group of about 20 people. We had no problem finding seating, which was a huge plus. The drinks were strong, delicious, and reasonably priced. I had the Baby Wants to Ride and loved it. The music was low and mellow, creating the perfect vibe to wind down the night. I've had the food before, and it's solid as well. Junebug is a great spot for pre-dinner drinks, happy hour, or just catching up with friends. Parking in the area is pretty easy, too. I'll definitely be back! read more

Never heard of this place, but a friend recommended it for dinner. The inside is fabulous! Sat at the bat to grab a drink while I waited, and the bartender was great. They serve delicious cocktails. Decor was nice..good date spot. Food is tapas style which I love, as it gives us the chance to try a lot of different items. The croquette balls were delish. The tuna crudo was pretty bland but the fish was fresh. Oysters were pretty good as well as the fries. Loved the dipping sauce. The beet salad was light and fresh. I love the fresco'd walls. Very dimly lit so beware if you have trouble in lowlight situations. Your eyes do adjust after a bit. Our host, young curly haired guy, was thankfully able to squeeze us in. Very nice and personable. Our server, Sav, was very nice and attentive. My only complaint is the menu is not my favorite; it's a combo of lots of things that don't seemingly match. Light bites are chips, nuts and olives. I'd like a more creative flair. I tried a cornbread gnocchi with lamb ragú, and while the taste was okay, I hated the same, soft texture all throughout and it was an unappealing presentation. They are fairly new so I will go again, but am going to give them some time to work out the menu. They'll have to learn fast as other good restaurants like Gianna and Meril's are just a short walk away. My recommendation: go for drinks and coziness. I think maybe it's best not to try a restaurant when it first opens because they haven't worked out all the kinks...but still I was there. It is a gorgeous restaurant but beware there is no cell phone service in here. I do want to say that as a disclaimer I think my experience would've been better with possibly a different server. Our server was very nonchalant and did not know much about the menu. Being that it is a new restaurant there are virtually no pictures to look at so when we asked questions about the menu he didn't have the answers and never came back with the answers. We started off by ordering dirty martinis. 15 minutes later our server came back and said they were actually out of olive juice. That was strange to me because they have olives as a starter on their menu but I ended up ordering a lemon drop. The cocktail glasses are tiny and my drink wasn't even full nor was there any rim. For food we started with the tuna crudo, fried oysters and duck & bacon crepinettes. All 3 were great! I asked for salt and pepper and I was brought out 2 condiment containers instead of a shaker. For entrees my friend ordered the lamb gnocchi and 3 of us ordered hangar steaks. I ordered medium for my temperature and the server said they recommend medium rare and can't guarantee the quality if we don't get that temperature. I have literally never heard that in all my life of eating steak. Anyway, the steak was fine but I wasn't aware it would be drowned in sauce. I didn't care for the sauce at all. I truly hope this place sticks around. Apparently an old recording studio turned 5 star restaurant, bar, and in my opinion perfect wedding venue. The snacks were top tier - just check out my translucent chip in the photo. The space has so much history and is filled with amazing musical artifacts. I will preface this by saying I went literally the day after they opened so there were, understandably, still some kinks to work out. First, I had a reservation so one person had apparently arrived before me and had been seated. When I came in and gave my name, I was seated at a different table on the other side of the restaurant and had no idea my friend was there. I genuinely thought she was lost and was blowing her texts up. It took a while (long enough for her to get her cocktail) for us to realize she was in that back section the whole time. I did get a complimentary glass of champagne from the host before that though so I forgave her lol. The next kink was that I was served a completely different drink than what I had ordered. Another waitress came along and got me the correct one pretty quickly though. My correct drink was very good. It was the Party on Plastic. I ordered the duck and bacon crepinettes as my app. I wasn't the biggest fan but that doesn't mean there was anything wrong with them, I just did not enjoy the texture and the taste threw me off a bit. I got the hanger steak as my entree with fries instead of onion rings. The cook on the steak was spot on. However, I did not like the sauce on it AT ALL. I wish I would've thought to ask for it on the side because it messed up an otherwise perfect steak. I am not discouraged though. I love the idea of shareable plates but I thought the plates were mediocre at best. We picked the croquettes monsieur, duck, and eggplant schnitzel. And let's just say we were still hungry. The cocktail menu is a book with many options. I decided on the "Kiss me not". It was more on the tart side than sweet side and a twist on an Aperol spritz. Our evening consisted of martini set up, frozen slow gin fizz, pickled shrimp dip, hot fried oysters, tuna crudo, hanger steak- ordered by two of us, the gulf fish- this was a red fish, fries with comeback sauce and a preserved lemon semifreddo. The drinks were fabulous, the appetizers - dip, oysters & crudo - delectable. The entrees were limited about four to choose from. Certified something for everyone though. The gulf fish was a red fish; was very flavorful. The hanger steak were cooked to perfection but, the Worcestershire sauce was just too over baring to enjoy the perfectly cooked to perfection steak. Junebug was very thoughtful on our remarks and cooked us another steak without the sauce. I would ask for sauce on the side for dipping next time. The fries with comeback sauce was not a must have in my opinion, the two other guest who were with me had also stated this same feeling. The dessert was not my favorite but we were sharing and my friend said it was enjoyable but probably would not order that again when coming back to Junebug. This restaurant is fairly new, only operating about six months and maybe some tweaking still needed as far as Junebug's menu. We all said we would come back. read more

I think this is a nice spot that gives the cutesy, dim speakeasy type vibe, and it could be even nicer if some tweaks were made. Firstly, I was impressed by how spacious it is! And I like how the 3 rooms all give different experiences. The front room is more "cocktail bar" and has lots of natural light, the middle room is more of an evening loungey-sexy feel, and the the back area is elegant dinner-dining. Our server was nice and helpful with the menu. The coquettes and oysters were both good. The drinks were good as well...on par for a $15-17 cocktail spot. I'm not huge on frozen drinks but the frozen Pimm's cup was yummy and also, pretty strong! They need to work on the WiFi...it was really tough to text and load apps in there. Also, the host staff was a bit stale and unwelcoming...they were giving very much meh and annoyed which wasn't a great first impression, but it was overall a good experience. read more
