New hidden gem! Obsessed with the decor and their wallpaper. Menu is cool and different. You can get a strong cocktail, a lower proof cocktail with less alcohol, and then a sample size of that drink profile. Cool way to make a menu. We didn't love their flavor profiles this time but would come back again with a new menu. Recommended by a local!

Junebug is absolutely beautiful. I stopped by for drink with a friend and had a great time. There's a long hallway you walk down that opens up to this big beautiful space that has a vintage vibe to it. Dark themes with bright lights and exposed bricks gives a sexy, industrial theme that add to the relaxed and chill atmosphere. The art on the walls and the vintage horn type chandeliers add to personality and charm of the space. There's plenty of room when you walk in, whether you want to have a drink at the bar, sit with friends at the high tops or relax on the sofas. They even have another room with tables for dining and hanging out. The drinks were good, strong and not too pricey. I really enjoyed myself here. I will definitely return to Junebug next time I'm in New Orleans.

My first time at this spot and yes I'll be back!!!! Junebug on Camp Street is a true New Orleans hidden gem! So cute and quaint with a lively bar and the most charming outdoor patio in the back -- perfect for relaxing with friends or date night vibes. The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, with great music and a welcoming staff that makes you feel right at home. The food was delicious, and the craft cocktails were on point -- creative, well-balanced, and beautifully made. It's an ideal spot for happy hour (Tuesday-Friday, 4-6 PM), but also great for late-night bites and drinks. Open nightly starting at 4 PM (closed Mondays), Junebug is definitely one of those local favorites you'll want to keep coming back to. Highly recommend! Check it out soon and add to your list.

What a beautiful spot! We stopped by on Valentine's Day while they were doing a cute Soul/R&B set list. All of the small plates were delicious, and the prices were reasonable. We enjoyed the bartender, and he actually made me a custom mocktail (although there were a few listed in their menu already.) planning to go back and try some other dishes soon!

This was my second time at Junebug, and it was just as great as the first! This time I came for a wedding after-party with a group of about 20 people. We had no problem finding seating, which was a huge plus. The drinks were strong, delicious, and reasonably priced. I had the Baby Wants to Ride and loved it. The music was low and mellow, creating the perfect vibe to wind down the night. I've had the food before, and it's solid as well. Junebug is a great spot for pre-dinner drinks, happy hour, or just catching up with friends. Parking in the area is pretty easy, too. I'll definitely be back!

Never heard of this place, but a friend recommended it for dinner. The inside is fabulous! Sat at the bat to grab a drink while I waited, and the bartender was great. They serve delicious cocktails. Decor was nice..good date spot. Food is tapas style which I love, as it gives us the chance to try a lot of different items. The croquette balls were delish. The tuna crudo was pretty bland but the fish was fresh. Oysters were pretty good as well as the fries. Loved the dipping sauce. The beet salad was light and fresh. Overall it was a pretty good experience. You will need to order several things because the portions are small.

Lovely and historic spot for a well made cocktail. Enjoyed it very much on a Wednesday afternoon with some colleagues, and had a nice chat with the bartender while waiting on them. He made me a tasty and balanced Boulevardier with Sazerac rye. Would go again next time I'm in town!

Decided to stop here during our bar hopping day. And walked into the gem. I loved the decor and the vibe of this place. Gave me a speakeasy feel which I loved. We ordered some drinks which were good. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back for the dining experience.

I love the fresco'd walls. Very dimly lit so beware if you have trouble in lowlight situations. Your eyes do adjust after a bit. Our host, young curly haired guy, was thankfully able to squeeze us in. Very nice and personable. Our server, Sav, was very nice and attentive. She even brought my friend a perfect drink after being told to surprise her! Had the pickled shrimp dip and the bacon and duck creppinnettes. The shrimp dip was good. Definitely was expecting more tang. It was still tasty. Wish there was more. The duck and bacon creppinnettes, which I realized were meatballs when they arrived, were delicious. The bacon flavors are incorporated into the meatballs instead of just lazily sprinkling bacon on top. Really good! There are a few more things I want to try on their menu so I'll be back

I'd seen so many beautiful photos of Junebug and couldn't wait to experience it for myself. The atmosphere did not disappoint--stylish and inviting--so I was excited to settle in and enjoy the evening. I started with the Party on Plastic cocktail, which was fruity and smoky--something I'd order again. Since I visited on a Friday after 10 pm, the condensed late-night menu was in effect. My friend and I shared a few snacks: duck quacklin', a pickle plate, and fries with comeback sauce. While the space was gorgeous, the food was just okay, and the service could have been better. We had to flag down our server each time we needed something, as she didn't check in much. I'd give Junebug another try, but I'm not in a hurry to go back.

Tapas selection specialized, but def delicious. Korean ribs were scrumptious and tender, shrimp skewers had amazing flavor, snapper crudo was refreshing, caesar salad was perfectly dressed, and drinks were divine. Equally impressive was the staff. Cameron was incredible as were the entire team. Highly recommend and would come back next time in town!

I think I need to come back for the late night menu to really get the full experience. There's a Duck Reuben that I NEED to have. But anywho, we came as a party of three for a birthday. We didn't have reservations but were seated in the bar high top area after a few minutes. This place is beautiful. The arching lights over the bar are my favorite. We only came in for drinks and appetizers as we were going somewhere else after. Our server, Sav, was really nice and informative. For my drink, I ordered the Paid in Full. Just the right amount of sweetness and it packed a nice punch! For the appetizers, we shared the Pickled Shrimp Dip, which was cool and refreshing, very tasty as well. I also ordered the Duck and Bacon Crepinettes. Those were really good. Definitely need to return to try the entrees and the sandwiches!

Words simply cannot express how much I continue to be blown away by the exquisite quality of food,…read morebeverage, service, and uncommon hospitality demonstrated and perfectly executed by this New Orleans establishment. My wife and I visited on our first NoLa trip together about 4 years ago and make it a point to go every time now. Our first time we stopped in for lunch at the bar and had an excellent experience, and decided to return. We came back on the next trip just to grab a drink and a snack before heading down for dinner in the Bywater. The bartender (Chris) gave a bunch of recommendations for places to visit that way, all of which we have done in the past few trips and have loved. But it's this past trip where we were truly blown away. We were in town for JazzFest and after walking back to the French Quarter, we were thinking about food options and decided to take a gamble to see if we could get a seat at the bar or maybe grab a drink for the road before getting food somewhere else. The bar was full when we got there around 8/8:15, but they had a no show and could serve us, as long as we ordered quickly and were ok with the check hitting the table right at 9PM. Given our slightly (perhaps generous) inebriated state from being at the festival all day and being slightly underdressed, we felt this was quite a kind accommodation. With the clear expectations of needing to get our orders in quickly, we wasted no time making a decision on our drinks and a few food options. Despite this need for a quick turn around, at no time did we feel rushed. The food and drinks were absolutely perfect, as they always are. But what impressed us most was the staff. At no point did the hostess or wait staff seem annoyed by us, despite us parachuting in from a music festival and looking like sunburn and poor decisions. By managing expectations on the front end, we never felt rushed despite the need for a quick turn around. They were all lovely, professional, and as cordial as if we were regulars with standing reservations once a week. In terms of atmosphere, it is always perfect: lively and fun for a date night, dinner with friends/family, or just a nice drink before a night out and about. I truly cannot begin to explain how much I love this restaurant and every experience I've had there. The awards and accolades this establishment (a sincere and lofty term Jewel of the South truly deserves) have been awarded are beyond well earned. Restaurants around the country should aspire to provide the quality of food, service, and overall hospitality Jewel of the South provides on a regular basis. It will continue to be our first and foremost recommendation to anyone we know who is going to New Orleans. Bravo! We shall return!

Named #44 in the Top 50 Best Bars in the World List, I had high expectations. Supposedly…read morereservations were hard to get, but that is because they allot most of the place for walk-ins, so you don't need to put in the effort that I did to book a time a month in advance. We were seated in the upstairs area and tried some of their drinks. We got the Brandy Crusta which is their most popular drink and the Pouvez-Vous Poulet which is a seasonal cocktail. The Brandy Crusta has the cup dipped in sugar with a fairly strong cocktail within. Definitely get this when you are here as that is one of the best Brandy Crustas and is historical. The Pouvez-Vous Poulet is a duck fat washed rum cocktail and is also very delicious. You cannot really go wrong with any cocktail, but definitely order the Brandy Crusta for the true experience here. Though, honestly, while the cocktails are good, it was not as memorable as the other Top 50 Best Bars in the World that I have been to, but I won't dock a star off because of this, since the cocktails and overall experience otherwise were fantastic. Service is good but can be a bit slow, but it is an acceptable tradeoff for a more quiet ambience compared to downstairs.

Whether sitting at the bar, or in one of the many lounge chairs on the opposite wall, every seat is an excellent. While I knew of the drink French 75, on the bar menu it was offered with either gin or cognac. I decided to try the cognac and so glad I did. Perfectly delicious! While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. The murals, the history, and the energy of the room give it a sense of occasion that you do not get at most bars. We had such a great time sitting at the bar that my wife and I each finished two and a half Sazeracs, which tells you everything you need to know.

The Apothecary was the cure. We grabbed seats mid bar and before we even finished settling in, there were waters waiting on the bar. That simple move already separated this place from the chaos outside. It's hospitality in its cleanest form: welcome in, take a breath, we got you. Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise. No frantic showboating, no syrupy cover ups, no sloppy pours even with the parade energy banging on the door. We ordered two and they were both dead on. Alchemist Elixir: pea flower gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon. It shows up pale violet with an orchid on the rim and yes it's pretty, but it's also disciplined. Floral without tasting like perfume. Bright without being sour. A drink that makes you slow down. Plus a magic chemists surprise. Corpse Reviver #2: local gin, Lillet Blanc, Grand Marnier, absinthe, fresh lemon. Cold, crisp, citrus first, then the herbal edge and just enough absinthe to remind you what city you're in. Served in a textured coupe with a cherry skewer, details handled like they actually matter. Outside, the streets were selling amnesia in plastic souvenir cups. Inside, The Apothecary was serving adults. Let Bourbon Street keep the grenades. Give me the anecdote .
