If you are looking for a place with a ton of romantic atmosphere and an exceptional wine list but mediocre service and food that is good, but not great, then this is the place for you. I felt that every dish we tried was just lacking a little something. Also the wait staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and we waited a long time for our last course which was a cheese board they seemed to forget to bring out. The staff really needs to read Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara. I'm not sure it was worth the $50 uber ride or the $279 we spent. Note: for anyone visiting for the first time - it's in a residential neighborhood and not very well marked - kind of hidden behind a tall brown fence - with a sign that is nearly impossible to see. Just know you are in the right place

Great and delicious way to kick off a bachelorette trip - with perfectly moody, trendy ambiance and delicious food! We sat outside and it was really fun and lively. We split many items and really loved the beet salad and steak. I also LOVED the soup! Great cocktails, great staff, would visit again!

This was such an amazing trip here! I felt like I was in another country far away from New Orleans lol! The ambiance was incredible (ask for garden seating!!!). Staff were friendly and welcoming! The food was great as well. Definitely recommend.

A beautiful date night experience! We spent our Valentine's night here, and the service was great. It was our first time, so our waiter made sure to explain everything to us. The courses were timed perfectly, and each dish was unique but coordinated well with the others. Be prepared for an elegant night, and also for a sizeable check! I enjoyed myself for sure.

N7 is an amazingly vibrant and moody restaurant in the bywater. Need help with the entrance? It's behind the garden wall. It feels so intimate, like walking into someone's backyard. The garden was especially cute to sit in at nighttime, but we opted for indoor seating, which was still just as chic! Our server walked us through the menu, and all the wait staff were extremely catering and helpful. Our service was great through the entire course! For appetizers, we had the pomme frites (I loved how the aïoli had a hint of orange) and beet salad. Absolutely delicious! For our entrees, we both settled with the duck and it was just as amazing. I completely cleared all of my plates with meant there was no room for dessert...until next time! I'd definitely love to return next time I'm in town.

N7 has been long on my bucket list of places to go and wow, this place was so cool and totally fits the vibes of the hipster Bywater Neighborhood. I came here for brunch and the the ambiance was absolutely amazing. There is no signage on the outside and you walk through this black door and the enterance feels as if you are walking into a secret garden. Food was also pretty good and very unique flavors. We started with the salmon confit and had roasted beets and citrus and I loved all of the flavors in the dish. Afterwards, we had an omelette with mushrooms and it was great. The fried chicken in the Hokkaido sandwich was also lovely. I would love to come here in the evening too because I could also imagine the vibe also being wonderful. Service was also excellent and absolutely wonderful!

This was the most amazing food I've ever had. I didn't care much for the French onion because I'm just partial to the way I make it. The crouton held the broth well and the cheese was amazing. The steak was the most delish I had ever had! The duck is amazing. I had no complaints about the food! I would recommend the steak or the duck, but the steak is my favorite! The staff is super friendly we made a reservation and it went over great! It feels like you're in a movie! The outside is great and they even have heat lamps outside! This place is great for a date night, birthday or really any occasion.

We ordered every dessert on the menu lol

Have been hearing great things about this place for over a year now and we finally made it here to check it out! This place is a cute little courtyard in Bywater that has the feel of being in a French Courtyard in France. The food was incredible, my table, and I had the muscles, escargot, pomme frites, French onion soup, I had the omelette with the salad, and we had a few of their wines and champagne's. We also decided to splurge in order every dessert, and it was incredible! We enjoyed the soy sauce, crème brûlée, and the Pavlova the best, but the others were very tasty as well. I wanted to try the Matcha granola, but didn't for some reason, but next time I'll have to try that. The service was incredible and top-tier from everyone that came by our table, from the chefs, waiters, bartenders, and the managers. Can't wait to come back!

Oh man, N7 has become one of my top favorite restaurants simply because of duck and steak dishes. Those are a 100% must tries for everyone who comes, you would not regret it!The duck has a crispy skin on top. Steak was completely tender. Scallops were seared to perfection, and I wish I could get the recipe for that sourdough butter because it was super tasty! 100/10 meal. 100/10 ambiance. 10/10 service. Would (and will) absolutely come back!!

Very unique place. I've been to speakeasy bars but this is the first speakeasy restaurant I've had the chance to visit. You have to know it's there, otherwise you might just walk by. It's in the middle of a residential neighborhood with no sign behind a tall wood fence. One you enter, there are different seating options. We started off at the bar, which is very small, maybe 5 seats total, then moved to the garden seating. They have a small cocktail menu but I opted for the Last word and it was great. I wasn't too hungry so I just ordered the scallops. Good but nothing remarkable. If you're ever in Nola, give this place a try. Very unique experience.

Came with friends for brunch on the weekend, and I was definitely impressed by the ambience of sitting outside in the garden. My friend made a reservation and planned for us to have brunch here, which happens Friday's, Saturday's, and Sunday's. We went family style on all of our appetizers and mains: beet salad, Brussel sprout salad, duck pate, salmon confit, croque madame, salmon sandwich, Hokkaido fried chicken sandwich. All good, but our collective favorite had to be the fried chicken sandwich. I would say what stood out the best was how nice it was to sit outside with all of the flowers and natural lighting. Good place to go with friends!

Very cute, homey atmosphere. I ordered the avocado salad, sourdough bread and their soup special, sweet potato bisque. All were good.

I see covered patio and garden as the two outdoor options. Which one would you recommend for a dinner in late October/early November?

It honestly depends on the weather that day. The garden is perfect, as long as it's not raining. It may be slightly cool- relative to each person, but it's better than the heat we've had this summer making it less desirable to eat in the courtyard… Read more

    Does N7 still require masks?

We were not asked to wear masks on 1/13/23. Nor did we see anyone else wearing them

What's better, the patio or the driveway? I really want to sit inside but Resy isn't giving me that option.

The patio is covered and overflowing with exotic plants, warmed by rows of fire, and set up in a way to ensure space between tables. The patio is great.

Is it Vegetarian friendly (no seafood)?

I agree with Beck, there are many vegetarian options on the menu that you make a meal out of, but most likely NOT too many if you were vegan. Their website has the menu on it.

Rich, layered, and well-balanced with fresh elements that worked together on the plate. For entrées, we had a variety of cuts, including the Australian Wagyu, ribeye, butcher's cut, and lamb chops. The Wagyu stood out immediately. High quality, great sear, and finished tableside, which added to the overall experience without taking away from the food itself. Each steak was cooked precisely to temperature and full of flavor. The lamb chops paired with carrots and brussels were well executed and balanced. The sides complemented the meal well and did not feel like afterthoughts. You can also see their in-house dry aging setup, which speaks to the level of detail they put into their steak program. It shows in the final product. The drinks were solid across the board. The Old Fashioned and bourbon selections paired well with the meal and matched the food's quality. Service by Noelle was attentive and responsive throughout the night. Everything flowed well, and we were taken care of without feeling rushed or hovered over. Overall, the experience was average and did not fully meet those expectations. The charcuterie and cheese board, priced at $68, was underwhelming in both portion size and value. It included only six thin slices of cured meat and a small selection of cheeses. Unfortunately, one of the cheeses had an unpleasant flavor that made it inedible for our table. The bread service was a highlight, offering a nice variety of breads and accompaniments. The ribeye was cooked well and enjoyable, but it did not stand out from what I've experienced at other upscale steakhouses. The five-cheese couscous was the biggest disappointment, as it lacked the rich, flavorful profile its description suggested. While the service and presentation were appreciated, the overall dining experience did not justify the high expectations or the price point.

There are security cameras all over the bar so this location can remain sex-positive and safe for guests. After ordering myself a drink, I chose to relax in their bright pink room with the large bean bag and teddy bear. This was my favorite spot for its light-hearted and playful atmosphere, although the room next to it was pretty exciting as well--with its black-and-white paintings of kinky exhibitionists. During my visit, I noticed that there was a collection of leftover glasses from previous guests. Since it was a slow Sunday night, I thought there would've been ample time for an employee to clean up that area beforehand. It was a generous plate and that had me at first bite, the food was delicious. A lot of themed restaurants rely on the novelty and the food can end up being mediocre, but that was definitely not the case here. My husband ordered the pork chop with teriyaki sauce, and it was absolutely delicious--so much so that he talked about it for two days afterward. I had the burger with homemade chips, and both were outstanding. The chips were especially memorable; I honestly wish I knew how they made them because I'd love to have them again.
